Nothing about the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, any of them is mine. They all belong to Saban and Disney. And I am making no money what-so-ever from this work of fanfiction.
Chapter 7
“The kind of help I need, isn’t the kind of help you can give,“ Billie said, and once more sadness filled his eyes, and he turned away as he gripped his abdomen and swallowed -- hard. “It’s just that . . . that there are complications . . .difficulties, and circumstances that are beyond my control, and it could be dangerous . . .”
“Okay. Then that’s all the more reason to call on your friends,” Justin said. “Look, I know exactly where they all are, right now. Adam married Aisha, and they’re in Stone Canyon. Tommy and Kimberly finally got married, and they’re over in Reefside. Cat’s in Australia, Zack is in Switzerland, and Rocky and Jason opened a dojo here in angel Grove.”
“trini’s here too,” Billy’s voice was low, and Justin nodded.
“exactly. And even if you haven’t gotten in contact with them, and since you are so obviously in trouble, you know they’ll come. It’s in their blood. They’re Power Rangers, even if none of them have any power still. None of us can resist a call for help when we get one, no matter who it’s from, and you know it.”
“Look, Justin, as they are now, there is nothing they can do, and I’m not prepared to be able to do anything about that right now. Also, there are some people I need to see first . . .” he grimaced and almost bent over double. He gripped the edge of one of the consoles with his hand, and panted, hard. He reached under his billowing cloak, and pulled out another packet, though his hands trembled, and he dropped it. “ med . . . medicine . . .” he croaked, and Justin all but leaped forward and picked it up. He looked at it for a moment, but only saw some kind of runic writing on it, and sighed. He opened the packet, and handed it to Billy, who poured the contents into his mouth.
Sweat beaded on his forehead, and he gritted his teeth as he panted. He exhaled a long breath and put his head in his hand as he rested his elbow on the console. “Thank you,” he all but whispered as the pain cleared from his face, and he took a deep breath as he stood.
“Damn, Billy, you really are in some kind of trouble,” Justin said, his eyes wide. “Are . . . are you sick?”
“You can call it that,“ Billy said, his voice low. “But look, It’s not just me who is in trouble,” he answered. “My actions are going to effect a lot of people on several different planets, and I can‘t move on anything until certain things are done; the rebuilding of this chamber being one of them. So please, Justin, while I know you won‘t be able to keep this all to yourself for long, I‘m begging you, give me two days to do what I need to, and then, I promise, I’ll call on the others.”
“Two days?” Justin asked, and Billy nodded. “Okay,” he acquiesced reluctantly. “But that’s it. Whatever it is that‘s effecting you so badly man, there’s no way you should be going through this alone. even if the others can‘t help you as Power Rangers, they can at least help you as your friends. I can help you as both if you‘d let me.”
“Actually,” Billy said thoughtfully as he leaned backward against one of the consoles. “You are a power Ranger, so it’d definitely be easier for you to contact them, especially if you did it as a Power Ranger. I’m also fairly certain they’d actually be more inclined to listen to you. Listen, Justin, would you do me the favor of contacting them? See if they’ll come here, but I still need my two days.”
“I’ll do what I can, of course. I already said that, but, what are you going to do in the meantime?” Justin asked, and Billy sighed.
“There are two people I need to see in town.”
“Can I help?”
“No,” Billy shook his head and Justin knew it would do him no good to argue. “This is something I have to do on my own.”
“All right,” Justin said. “I’ll guess I’ll go chase down the others and get them together then.”
“Thank you, Justin,” Billy said, his voice sincere, and Justin nodded. “I really appreciate everything you’ve done and are doing. I’m . . . I’m just sorry I can’t tell you everything right now.”
“As long as you tell me later,” the younger man said, and Billy nodded as he raised his sleeve. A moment later, he pressed the ‘transport’ button, and Justin found himself standing beside Storm Blaster. He shook his head and climbed into the car.
“C’mon, Storm, we’ve got to go get some other Rangers!” He zoomed away, and Billy sighed as he watched.
“Okay. Then that’s all the more reason to call on your friends,” Justin said. “Look, I know exactly where they all are, right now. Adam married Aisha, and they’re in Stone Canyon.
