BACKBEAT LOVE

Chapter 7
(I'm gonna skip alittle to get this story going. There is only so much you can do while you wait for Morgan to heal. LOL)

(it's been one week since Morgan has been in the hospital, she was being released today. Drake in the meantime has been waiting patiently to get his omni back.
He didn't know who had it and he's not one to be patient, but he couldn't take his chances and get caught. He pulled the cigar out of his mouth and stomped on it hard. Imaging it to be Bogg's head. He hated Phineas Bogg with a passion.
He knew he had to be careful with his plan and he knew how much Phineas Bogg loved the kid. He would of broke Phineas Bogg's hurt by killing the boy, but the meddling girl got in the way instead. Drake waited outside of the hospital so he could follow them and make his move when the time was right. Morgan changed back into her regular clothes, she touched the fresh bandage on the back of her shoulder where the bullet went.
Jeffrey and Bogg were waiting outside the door for Olivia and Morgan. It's about 4:00 am in the morning.)

Olivia: How ya feeling?
Morgan: Good, doesn't hurt that much.
Olivia: I bet you're glad to be getting out of here..
Morgan: Yeah, I hope I never see one again.
Olivia: Come on, we better get out of here.
Morgan: Ok.
(Morgan and Olivia leave the room as quickly as possible so they don't run into the nurse that has been bugging her since Morgan was admitted to fill out the paperwork. Bogg and Jeffrey hurry to the front entrance and leave with them. Once outside of the hospital everyone sighs a relief.Drake hid behind something and watched them, he noticed something silver hanging from Bogg's belt, it'd his omni)
Morgan: That was close.
Olivia: I know, at least I was able to stall filling out that paperwork, it wasn't easy to do.
Bogg: Yeah, but if you would of filled it out..
Olivia: Don't remind me Bogg.
Jeffrey: Come on let's go back to the hotel and later to get something to eat.
Bogg: I'm starving and then we can decide what to do after that.
Olivia: Morgan isn't ready to travel yet, but I'm sure you two want to get going.
Jeffrey: Bogg...
Bogg: Not yet, we still have Drake to deal with remember.
Olivia: I was trying to forget, but yes I remember.
Morgan: Ugh, don't remind me.
Jeffrey: That creep.
(They head back to the hotel, they split up and go to their rooms. Morgan carefully lays down on the bed on her back by the bathroom, she yawns. Olivia notices it)
Olivia: Why don't you get some sleep, you look tired.
Morgan: Ok.
Olivia: I'm sorry, but we had to sneak out of the hospital.
Morgan: I know, I just feel bad that we aren't paying for it.
Olivia: With what?
Morgan: I know, I know.
(Back with Jeffrey and Bogg.)
Jeffrey: So you think Drake is waiting to make his move soon.
Bogg: Drake isn't one to be that patient, so the more he waits, the more dangerous he is, you know brewing in his own hatred.
Jeffrey: Do you have a plan?
Bogg: I'm still thinking.
Jeffrey: Well you better think quick, because I have a feeling now that we don't have the police protecting us, wer'e easy targets.
Bogg: I know.
(Morgan rubs her eyes and closes them, it doesn't take long for her to fall asleep. Olivia walks over to the bed, she sits down on it, she carefully takes off Morgan's shoes and sets them by the bed. Olivia is about to lay on the bed when there is a knock on the door, she slowly goes to the door)
Olivia: Who is it?
Bogg: Bogg and Jeffrey.
(Olivia slowly opens the door, she smiles when she sees them and they quickly enter. Olivia shuts the door)
Olivia: Shh, Morgan is sleeping, what's going on, is everything ok?
Bogg: Yeah.
(Olivia sits on the end of Morgan's bed. Bogg and Jeffrey sit on the edge of the other bed.)
Bogg: Well we know that Drake wants his omni right?
Olivia: Yeah.
Bogg: I was thinking that maybe you and I could go to The Cavern and pretend like we're there on a date. I'm pretty sure Drake will be there.
Jeffrey: And leave Morgan and I in here ALONE?
Bogg: Yeah, we're you two will be safe.
Jeffrey: Since when are we safe here?
Olivia: Just don't open the door for anybody.
Jeffrey: Not even for room service?
Bogg: Epecially room service.
Olivia: You think Drake will take the bait?
Bogg: I know Drake, he has seen his omni hanging off my belt when we left the hospital, he knows I have it, so he'll probably try to take it from me at The Cavern.
Jeffrey: I hope you're right Bogg.
(Morgan wakes up and rubs her eyes, she has heard voices and looks to see Bogg, Jeffrey and Olivia talking)
Morgan: Hey, what's going on?
Jeffrey: Nothing.
(Olivia walks over to Morgan and sits down next to her)
Olivia: How ya feeling?
Morgan: Ok.
(Bogg pulls off his omni and hands it to Jeffrey)
Bogg: Just in case, if you two are in trouble, I want you to omni out with my omni, got it?
Jeffrey: But Bogg....
Bogg: No, buts Jeffrey, just do what I say kid.
(Morgan pulls out Olivia's omni and hands it to Olivia)
Morgan: Here, you might need it just in case, you never know if you end up triggering Drake's omni by accident and I don't want you two to be stranded somewhere.
(Olivia puts it on her belt.)
Olivia: Thanks Morgan.
Bogg: Ok, you two stay here, don't answer the door and we will be back as soon as we can.
Morgan: Think you can get the police to arrest him for shooting me?
Bogg: That's the plan and to make sure he doesn't omni out and escape.
Jeffrey: It would be nice if he was in jail forever.
Olivia: Actually we are hoping to send him back to VHQ to go on trial for all his misdeeds.
Morgan: You can do that?
Bogg: Yeah, just that Drake was able to deactivate the locator on his omni, that's why he's been able to travel through time and not get caught or tracked.
Morgan: Both of you, please be careful.
Bogg: We will.
Olivia: Yeah, we're voyagers.
Jeffrey: Yeah well, just be careful, ok?
(Bogg and Olivia hug Jeffrey and Morgan and they leave. Morgan gets up and sits next to Jeffrey, she has a worried look on her face)
Morgan: This is not fair, we have to sit here and wait.
Jeffrey: I know, they could use our help.
(Morgan gets up, she starts to pace.)
Jeffrey: Will you stop that, you're making me dizzy.
Morgan: Sorry.
(Morgan sits by the tv, she turns the tv on, she flips through the channels and then turns off the tv bored)
Jeffrey: If they're not back in an hour, we're going to The Cavern ok?
Morgan: Yeah.
(Bogg and Olvia arrive at The Cavern and sit down at a table. Bogg tries to act normal. he flashes the silver omni discreetly so that if Drake is there, he will see that Bogg has it.)
Olivia: Do you see him?
Bogg: No, not yet.
Olivia: I hope this works.
(Morgan and Jeffrey are in the room waiting. Morgan gets up and walks towards the bathroom, she starts to back out slowly.)
Morgan: Jeffrey.
(Jeffrey sees two men with guns pointing at Morgan. They must of came through the bathroom window. Jeffrey opens the omni up, he dials it and then walks up to Morgan, he grabs hold of her and triggers the omni and they disappear. The two men look around in disbelief. )
