The night before the wedding



“Mom? Dad? Mickey? Where are you?” She ran down stairs, Doctor in tow to find them reading a piece of paper.

“Good you are all here!” Rose exclaimed. They all looked up, tears streaming down their face.

“Who are you?”

“It’s me Rose…all be it a little different looking.”

“How dare you call yourself our daughter!”

“Mum…look into my eyes…see that it is your daughter.” The Doctor came up behind her. Jackie stood up, walked over to him and slapped him hard across the face.

“How dare you bring some slut into this house! Calling her Rose! How dare you!” Rose grabbed her mother by the shoulders and pulled her in front of her.

“I am not a slut!” She yelled, shaking Jackie, making her look at Rose in the eyes. They stood there for a moment then Jackie collapsed into Rose’s arms.

“I’m so sorry Rose, I am sorry that I doubted you…you can take the contacts and the wig off now.”

“I can’t…and the Doctor and I will explain everything once you apologize to him.”

“I’m sorry Doctor.”

“I think everyone will need to sit down for this information…there is going to be a lot of it.” The Doctor said. A servant came in, hearing the commotion.

“Is everything all right? Oh we have guests! Can I get you two something to drink?”

“Tea please.” The Doctor said. Rose said in her mind to the Doctor. ~As long as you don’t break the cup this time.~ The Doctor shot her an evil look before smiling.

“So what’s this big news the two of you need to tell us. You aren’t pregnant are you?”

“No, not yet anyways…” Rose said, looking hopefully at the Doctor.

“Can a Doctor…what ever you are…and you Rose a human even mate?”

“Funny thing about that Jackie…” The Doctor stated, “Something happened to Rose while in the TARDIS. Not only did she fix it so we can come and tell you some news…she had fulfilled a prophecy about a woman not of Time Lord born will become a Time Lord herself. Thus bringing the greatness of the Time Lords back; which is also why her appearance changed.”

“So you are a Time Lord thingy Doctor?” Pete, Rose father, asked.

“Yes”

“And my daughter became one of those?” He asked.

“Yes” Rose said. The servant came in with tea, cream and sugar. Rose thanked her and began making her tea. As she finished up her mother gasped. Rose almost dropped the cup but managed to save it at the last moment.

“Rose…what…what is that on your ring finger?”

“Oh that? It is the main reason why we came.”

“You’re engaged…to the Doctor.” Mickey said slowly.

“Yes.” Rose said beaming with delight.

“So when is this wedding?”

“Tomorrow…which is why you need to hurry and pack a change of clothes.”

“It’s only twelve thirty Rose, why are we in such a rush.”

“It’s not twelve thirty where we need to be, it’s more like 8:30 in the evening.” The Doctor said, looking at his watch.

“Hurry please, I want to make everyone dinner.” Rose smiled and saw everyone rush off. They were alone at the moment.

“Do we want to go pick up Captain Jack Harkness?” Rose asked, smiling.

“You mean Captain Jack Harkness and guest?”

“Jack is seeing some one?”

“Apparently it is some one named Ianto Jones. We can get them as soon as we get these three.”

“Do you want to call him?” She asked handing him her cell phone.

“Sure, make sure he will be ready.” He dialed the number, Jack picked up.

“Torchwood.”

“Hello Jack.” The Doctor said.

“Who is this?”

“It’s me The Doctor.” He heard the phone drop and pick back up.

“This better not be a joke.”

“Jack, it isn’t a joke, I just need you and Ianto ready to leave for an overnight stay in a few hours, I’ll pick you up in the TARDIS, and I’ll explain everything once the two of you come aboard.”

“Ok.” Jack could barely contain his excitement. “Goodbye Doctor.” Jack hung up and yelled for Ianto, who came rushing in.

“Yes sir?”

“Pack a bag for an overnight, there is someone picking us up, they say a couple of hours but I really don’t know when they will arrive. Also…do you mind if I go over to your apartment tonight, I really want some time, just you and me, after everything happened.”

“I wouldn’t mind at all, do you want me to cook something?”

“No…just water.”

“Ok sir.” He turned to walk away.

“Oh and Ianto…Call me Jack please.”

“Ok, Jack.” He smiled softly and walked away. Jack stood up and packed a bag quickly, throwing his coat over it. The Doctor looked at Rose as smiled. Jackie was running around the house like a chicken with her head cut off.

“Do you like this dress or this one Rose?”

“MUM! For the last time, I told you, you don’t need to bring anything to wear for the wedding, I have clothing for everyone. Just grab something comfortable to wear and pajamas Mom…if you take any longer I am going to march up there and pack your bags for you!”

“Can you do that now, I am not feeling to well…and I need to take care of the baby.”

“What do I need to pack for the baby?”

“Her diaper bag and a jumper.”

“Ok, I’ll pack that with your stuff.” She ran upstairs, running past her father and Mickey. Rose hurriedly packed everything, then she ran to her bedroom, grabbed her laptop and the caught a glimpse of herself in the full length mirror. She stood there just taking everything in, when she closed her eyes she could feel the earth move, rotating around her. She was so lost in it that she didn’t even hear her door shut. Suddenly she was taken out of the trance by a pair of arms wrapping around her, protecting her.

“Doctor?”

“Yes Rose?”

“I felt the earth moving, it was so exciting yet scary as well.”

“It will take some time for you to get use to everything.” He kissed her neck softly. Rose moaned softly feeling his hands roam along her body, slowly unzipping her shirt. The Doctor pulled it and her jacket off of her, Rose turned around and took his jackets, tie and shirt as well. They looked in each others eyes and started to slowly kiss, passion building as they wrapped their arms around each other. They made their way towards the bed, striping each other along the way. On the bed, the Doctor climbed up on top of her, spread her legs and entered her. She felt everything differently, more passion, more intimacy. Her skin felt more alive than ever, every touch the Doctor gave her caused her to moan. Suddenly the door flew open, a gasp, scream and some one yelling followed after that. Rose pushed the Doctor off and they both scrambled under the covers.

“I thought that door was locked!” Rose exclaimed.

“Remember we took it off when you tried to off yourself!” Pete said back, Rose could tell he was seething in anger.

“What do you want me to say father? I am not apologizing for anything and everything that I did before I left and changed!”

“Rose, just…why didn’t you wait until after the wedding?”

“It just sort of happen, one minute I was standing in front of the mirror, the next minute, the Doctor and I were talking and beginning to snog when one thing led to another and I felt whole and complete then the lot of you had to come in and ruin it!” She got out of bed, naked and began to get dressed. Her parents finally saw the back tattoo. Rose heard them gasp and start to talk and she finished getting dressed. Pulling on her jacket she turned around, picked up her socks, shoes and bags.

“Here you go Mum. All packed and ready to go.” She then walked over to the chair and put on her socks and shoes.

“Rose…what is on your back?” Mickey asked, a confused look on his face.

“Go down stairs, with your bags and order a fresh pot if tea, I’ll be down there in a second. Please just go down stairs.” She said zipping up her boots. With out another word they filed out and went down stairs. Rose turned and looked at the Doctor, seeing a tent in the covers. “It’s alright Doctor, everyone has left.”

“We aren’t picking any of them…”

“We came here to pick them up…what do you mean we aren’t picking them?”

“In Gallifreyan and Time Lord tradition, a couple who is just married their first night together, they have their first night watched to make sure everything is correct…I don’t want any of those three down there to be in there…”

“Well…” Rose took a deep breath hearing this, “What about Jack and Ianto?”

“That is what I was thinking. You need to go down there and explain the back tattoo.”

“Ok Doctor.” She kissed him softly before leaving, “Come down when you are finished dressing.” The Doctor nodded, “Oh and no leaving with out me…I have waited to long for you to leave!”

“I am not going to leave you my love!” He got out of bed and began to dress again. Rose couldn’t stop looking at him, watching his body move to dress. She suddenly shook out of her trance and left him to get dressed. Rose walked downstairs, confidently, strode into the room everyone was in and made herself a cup of tea.

“So where do you want me to start?” She asked, taking a sip of tea.

“How did this all happen? How did you leave with out some one seeing you leave?” Pete asked.

“I don’t know, I fell asleep with you in there I had a dream with the Doctor and then I woke up in the TARDIS.”

“I think I can explain this a little better,” the Doctor said, looking up and the ceiling and then at everyone. “I was trying to get Rose back, I was doing anything and everything I could to bring her back. Well anyways I was finding rips in time and I would come to her in dreams but I didn’t have enough power to bring her back with me until last night I believe.” He smiled and picked up Rose’s tea cup and took a sip.

“So you kidnapped her and made her change and got her to agree to marry you?” Pete asked, rage filling his voice.

“He didn’t kidnap me, I wanted to go, I wanted to be with him, everything that happened was MY decision ok? I agreed for him to take me, I agreed to marry him, it’s not my fault that I fulfilled a prophecy, if it happened here you would have thrown me into the loony bin! I did what I thought was right and if any of you can’t understand that or don’t want to understand that then leave…I will not put up with people doubting me!” Everyone, even the Doctor sat there quietly. Pete got up, sighed and made himself a cup of tea, before sitting back down.

“Rose, dear what’s with the back tattoo?” Jackie asked calmly.

“It was part of my transformation; I really don’t get to pick what I get to look like, just like the Doctor.”

“Oh, well ok…” Jackie asked.

“So where are you to going to tie the not?” Mickey asked.

“We will tell everyone once we get everyone on board.” The Doctor stated, looking at his watch. “Alright we are running a little bit behind but we can make it up, everyone follow me!” The two of them got up and made their way upstairs, followed behind everyone else. They walked into Rose’s room and opened the closet door to reveal the TARDIS insides. They had everyone walk in first and then showed them to their rooms. The Doctor closed the doors and Rose was standing by the computers.

“May I try Doctor?” Rose asked, smiling at him.

“Sure, you need to figure out the controls just in case one of these years you get one of your own, or I get hurt and can’t work the computers.” The doctor said, taking off Rose’s coat.

“We need to get them clothes…can you do that so I can pick up Jack and Ianto?”

“Why don’t we just wait until we get them and do it all at once?” He kissed her neck softly. Rose nodded her head and began to type in everything. She hit enter, felt a little jolt and then they were off. Rose made tea for every one as the TARDIS stopped. Over the speakers, the Doctor told everyone.

“No going out side of the TARDIS it’s for your own good, it will only create paradoxes and no body wants that! Oh and Rose made tea for everyone. We will be back in a moment!” With that everyone came out sat down and drank some tea. Rose and the Doctor stepped outside and locked the door. The TARDIS was a police box, Rose smiled and continued walking with the Doctor. They walked up to the door, the Doctor used the sonic screwdriver to open it then to turn off the alarm. They heard some noises coming from an open door, so they went to investigate. They saw two men, one behind the other. Rose recognized Jack on the bottom and assumed that was Ianto on top.

“Make me forget Ianto, make me forget everything.” It was a saddening, humbling request made by Jack. Ianto wrapped his arms around him, pulled him into his lap and continued to move in and out of him. They could hear the quite sobs of the two men as Ianto whispered into Jack’s ear.

“I want you to make me feel again, get rid of this numbness.” Suddenly Ianto cried out, biting into Jack’s neck. They stayed like that for a moment before Jack got off of him and Ianto lay down on the bed. Jack slowly prepped him, kissing his back, whispering words of love to Ianto. Slowly he climbed in between his legs, lifted up the other man’s hips and began to move in and out of him. At first it was slow and steady, then Jack speeded up, kissing his back and running his hands down Ianto’s legs. Jack came hard and fast into Ianto. The two men held each other and began to cry, Rose didn’t understand but the Doctor knew. When the sobbing stopped, the Doctor told Rose to stay back, he needed to prep John for everything. The Doctor walked over quietly and ran his fingers through Jack’s hair. Jack in turn, jumped 5 feet in the air, and stares at the Doctor.

“You’re here!” He looked at the Doctor, “How long have you been here?”

“Not long but I need you and Ianto to get dressed.”

“Why are you so happy Doctor? Last time I heard from you, you were in a catatonic state and wouldn’t tell me why?” The Doctor sighed.

“Rose is gone; the Rose we both knew is gone.”

“I am so sorry Doctor…she is in a better place now.” Rose stepped into the door way her shirt unzipped a little bit showing off her breasts. Jack saw her, “Who is this lovely lady?”

“Hello Jack, I’m Rose.”

“Wait…what? What the fuck is going on here?” Jack asked, as Ianto sat up.

“It’s a long story Jack but here is the short version, the Doctor found a way to bring me back to this universe. While in the TARDIS I became sick and could feel the TARDIS living and breathing, and I could hear the Doctor’s voice. Long story short I am like some prophecy of the Time Lords and became one myself, hence the change.”

“I can see that…you look good.” Jack said, as Ianto poked him in the ribs. “What? Oh. Doctor, Rose this is my love and companion, Ianto.”

“How do you do. Jack had told me many stories about you Doctor and I few I think about you Miss Rose.” Ianto said, slightly embarrassed that he was naked in bed with his boss, who just called him his lover and companion.

“Ok, where are your bags so we can get going?” The Doctor said.

“Where are we going and why?” Ianto asked.

“We will tell you where we are going when you get into the TARDIS and Rose and I are getting married. Also later tonight once everyone has gone to bed, we need to talk to you about something. It’s nothing bad it is just a favor we have to ask of you.”

“Here they are!” Rose said tripping over one of the bags. She bent down and picked up the bags.

“The Doctor is tying the knot?” Jack asked grabbing for his boxers and pulling them on. He got out of bed and got dressed. “Well can I see the ring?” Rose smiled and shifted the bags to her right hand as Ianto pulled on his boxers and suit, grabbing a box from the dresser drawer. “Wow you did really well Doctor…how did you find stones that perfect?” The Doctor didn’t answer and just smiled. Ianto came around, grabbed the bags from Rose and looked at the ring. Inwardly he thought of Lisa and how he was going to marry her, but now he was with Jack, he was happy but knew they couldn’t possible get married. Jack looked at Ianto and saw him lost in thought. He dived quickly underneath a pillow and stashed something in his pocket.

“What was that Jack?” Ianto asked.

“Nothing Ianto, don’t worry about it, ok?” Jack kissed him passionately longingly. The four of them walked out of the apartment and down to the TARDIS.

“I see the old girl hasn’t change.”

“Actually she has changed…it just picked it just for you Jack. Rose actually fixed it, did some jiggery pokery and it was fixed.”

“What he means to say is that, he was trying on a tux and I fell asleep in the pilot’s chair. When I woke up to the Doctor yelling everything flew out the door, and it was fixed.”

“Ah the old sleep and fix thing…” He smiled at the three of them. Rose stuck out her tongue which made Ianto laugh. Inside Rose saw her family still sitting there, talking, laughing and playing cards. The door closed behind them and Rose smiled.

“I’ll take you to your room, and then back out here for an information meeting.” Rose said. Jack and Ianto followed Rose, as she showed them to their room.

“Well here you two go, make yourself at home. Don’t forget we need to tell everyone everything, but take the time that you need.” Rose walked out with a smile on her face. In the bedroom, Jack and Ianto looked at each other.

“Jack…” Ianto said, fighting back tears. “I love you; I love you so much…” A tear streamed down his cheek.

“I love you too Ianto, which is why I called you my lover and companion. I also wanted to give you this as a sign of my commitment to you, now and forever.” He pulled a box out of his pocket, opened it up and showed Ianto a platinum band with the words: To my Ianto, now and forever. Ianto hands were shaking as Jack put the ring on his ring finger on his left hand. Jack kissed him passionately. Ianto pulled away and pulled out a ring box of his own.

“Well you have made this a whole lot easier…Jack I have always been there for you, believed in you, loved you. You have taught me to love again.” He opened his ring box, showing Jack a platinum ring as well, with the words: To my Beloved Jack. Jack smiled as Ianto slid the ring on his finger, kissing him passionately. There was a soft voice in their room.

“What has been promised in here, may nothing break it apart. I pronounce you companion and companion. You may now kiss.” It was the voice of the Doctor. Ianto and Jack kissed passionately before walking out to where everyone was playing games. Rose and the Doctor smiled at them, before giving them both and big hug.

“Congratulations!” Rose said quietly to them. “We will talk later tonight, I need to get them ready for tomorrow and off to bed.”

“Alright everyone, here is what is going on!” The Doctor began to speak. “First off we are going to the Forest of Cheem Tree, where they high elder will marry us. He has asked us not to wear shoes or sock as it is a sign of disrespect to the ancestors. The TARDIS is equipped with a room to make sure your feet are looking their best. Now on to Rose who will show you what you are going to wear.”

“Right then, I will be taking you in groups due to the nature of people, I really don’t want some one blabbing about my dress to the wrong person.” She pointed her head towards the Doctor. So since Mum has to go and put the baby to bed; she looks tired now, I’ll take her in first. Follow me Mum.” Jackie smiled and followed Rose into the room of clothing. She pulled out her dress and tried it on for her mother who couldn’t stop squealing about how beautiful it looked on her.

“All right Mum, the TARDIS knows what you are thinking, start thinking of a dress and she will lead you to it, trust me.” Rose turned around and changed back out of the dress and placed it back on the rack at the front. Jackie found a matching red dress and jewelry and a cute little dress for the baby named Lillie.

“Mum that looks great! Would you like me to show you where the foot place is?”

“Yes, but let me put the baby Lillie down for the night.” Jackie walked off to the baby room and laid her down. Rose was standing outside waiting for her, she came out and they headed to the place where they could get their feet done.

“I have to go get everyone else dressed but when you are done in here go a head and go to bed, we have a big day in the morning.” Rose said to Jackie. Jackie nodded as the machines got to work and the room became warmer. She walked out and the five guys were sitting there playing poker. Then she heard the dreaded question.

“So, who are the two of you married too…I didn’t see anyone else come with you. Also what were your names again?” Mickey asked.

“I am Jack and this is my partner Ianto.”

“Oh so you two are in business together, is that it?”

“From a certain point of view…” Ianto said, playing a card.

“Oh…so who are you married too?” Mickey asked again, and the room fell silent.

“Well, Mum is getting her feet and hands done, Mickey, Dad you two are next.” Rose said to avoid the questions. Rose showed them the tux and pulled their tuxes out for them. They tried them on and they both fit. “Alright let’s get you too in with Mum and the pampering.”

“Rose, those two out there, Jack and Idaho…” Mickey began, but Rose cut in.

“Ianto Mickey, his name is Ianto. What were you going to ask?”

“Are they a couple? Like a couple…couple, like you and the Doctor.”

“Mickey there are just some things that you really shouldn’t worry about. Here we are. Jackie was just coming out and heading to bed.

“Wow, that was really relaxing, you should try it Pete! I am going off to bed, I am so relaxed. Jackie walked to her room and shut the door. The two men walked in, took off their pants and let the machine go to work. Rose left them with a few words.

“Go to bed after this is done, we will have a long day tomorrow and I would like everyone to be rested.” Rose walked out to Jack, Ianto and the Doctor, she sat down and poured herself a cup of tea, “I am so sorry about Mickey, there are just something I would rather not deal with, in regards to him.”

“I understand that Rose, as long as you aren’t ashamed by us.” Ianto stated.

“Who made this tea? It is really good!” Rose said taking another big sip.

“Ianto did, what did you want to talk to us about?” Jack asked.

“Well, in Gallifreyan and Time Lord tradition, a couple who is just married their first night together, they have their first night watched to make sure everything is correct…We would like for the two of you to be there, all you have to do is take some measurements, time how long it is, how long colitis is, you will receive the paper tomorrow after the wedding. We would really appreciate if you would do this.”

“Do we have some one watch us?” Ianto asked.

“No, if you don’t want too, unless it’s your tradition, Rose and I would be delighted to if you need us too.” The Doctor stated.

“It’s up to you Jack…I’ll do it if you want too.”

“Sure we will watch you two, and we would be delighted if you returned the favor tonight.”

“Then it’s settled then, let me take you to get your tuxes and then prettied up, after which we will get the form and watch the two of you.” Rose said, smiling, finishing her cup of tea. “Ianto you have got to show me how you make tea that good!” She stood up and out stretched her hands to both of them. They both took one and made their way to the clothing room. Apparently the TARDIS had already pick their tuxes out and wedding night wear for them and for the Doctor and Rose.”

“Well that was quick…” Jack said grabbing the night garb for the two of them.

“Yes it was, I’ll show you too to the pampering room, if you need anything just ask the TARDIS and she will help you.” Rose said as her father and Mickey came out, they said good night to her and went to bed. Rose showed them in as the stations were cleaned. The two of them walked in, stripped down to their boxers and let the TARDIS go to work. Rose walked back to the Doctor sat down and sighed.

“Something happened to Jack…he looks pale…like death warmed over on toast.”

“That’s because he died and came back to life.” The Doctor handed her a piece of paper. “The rift was opened and a demon came out and Jack fought it, closed the rift and died. Five days later he woke back up. He hasn’t really been the same since, he always looks tired”

“So Jack is a Time Lord?”

“No, something happened to him…he can’t die.”

“Oh…how long ago was that?”

“About a year.”

“Wow, no wonder Ianto is so protective of him.”

“Yes, and why Jack is so protective of Ianto.” The Doctor said, Rose got up and poured herself another cup of tea, sat down and pulled out a pair of glasses. The Doctor began to laugh seeing her with her glasses.

“What? I like these glasses, makes me feel more intelligent. So…I apparently have Ianto?” Rose said sipping her tea. “Number of penises? Are their species out there with more than one?”

“Yes…I have met some of them…strange creatures…” The Doctor said when he saw Jack and Ianto step out towards them. Rose looked up and smiled at them. They had one arm around each other, holding the other one protectively.

“We are ready.” Jack said, still looking a little bit pale. The Doctor and Rose got up, Rose checked her pockets for everything before following them to their bed room.

“Alright you two, just relax and pretend that we aren’t here once we get the initial stuff done. If you two will face away from each other, please?” The Doctor told them. Ianto turned away as Rose stood in front of him and began to do her measurements, trying not to be turned on and embarrassed at the same time. Once done they turned around as the timer started. A bowl of warm water was between them, Ianto pushed the robe off of Jack and picked up a small sponge. Then Jack said three simple words to him, “Just let go.” Ianto closed his eyes and gave into sweet ecstasy as he moaned Jack’s name loudly, his orgasm racking his whole body. They sat there for a moment neither one of them wanting to move. Jack grabbed the towel and cleaned himself off, setting it beside Ianto. Jack got up and leaned forward, laying on his stomach in the bed. Ianto cleaned himself up, still shaking from orgasm and cleaned Jack up. They held each other, kissing softly.

“I love you Ianto.” Jack said softly, stroking Ianto’s cheek.

“I love you too Jack.” Ianto said in reply, his hand on Jack’s chest. Rose and the Doctor got up and walked out of the room, as she heard Ianto quietly sobbing. Outside, Rose took the Doctor’s hand and led him to the pampering room; they sat down and let the machines do the work.

“I wonder what Ianto was sobbing about?” Rose said looking at the Doctor.

“Oh I don’t know, it could be that Ianto has found his soul mate, he could be happy…I don’t know.”

“Did you see him shaking at the end, when his was taking Jack? I bet you that had something to do with it, he wanted to make Jack happy, maybe make Jack his Jack again seeing as he had died recently.”

“Maybe.” The Doctor looked off into space for a moment, “They are going to face a lot of hardships soon, testing their love and strength in each other.”

“I think it will work, I saw their love in both of their eyes.” Rose said, feeling sleepy. They finished up and walked hand in hand to their bedroom. When they got their, there was a sign on the door that said Doctor only, and another door that said Rose Only.

“Apparently the TARDIS, doesn’t want us sleeping together tonight.” The Doctor said.

“Yeah I can see that! I am going to get dressed after you are gone with Jack and Ianto. So you can’t see my dress before the wedding, that is one of my traditions.” Rose said. She turned and began to walk away but the Doctor grabbed her, pulled her back and kissed her passionately before heading into the bed room. Rose turned and headed for her bedroom. That night while Jack was sleeping, Ianto was looking over him, protectively, writing something on a piece of fine paper. Once finished he folded it up and set it on his robe, then went back to bed, holding Jack protectively.
