Chapter 7

I do not own Smallville.
Summary: Something bad is going down in the small town of Smallville and it’s all Lex’s fault. He has always been too curious for his own good. If only he had not tripped and fallen that day while snooping around the Kent farm when the elder Kent’s were out of town and Clark was at school.
Chapter 7
Clark was standing in Lex’s study watching the smaller man walk around giving orders while it was being repaired. Add’s and police reports were quickly filed in order to figure out the whereabouts of Lionel Luthor but they both of them knew the old man would never be found. Kryptonia had put his body in a place where it could never be discovered.
Lex had no idea how the hell he was going to gather all the meteor rocks without Clark figuring out what the hell was going on. Clark always seemed to know what was going on thanks to his powers and even when he didn’t, he soon did. Lex was divinely fucked, and he knew it.
Before reconstruction began Lex had asked Clark to incinerate his father’s spinal cord. Clark readily agreed to do it because it would have been too hard to explain to the authorities. It was a good thing Lex gave the staff the day off otherwise a lot more people could have been hurt or even killed.
Lex smiled at Clark and Clark felt himself go week in the knees. He loved it when Lex smiled at him, really smiled at him. He walked over to Clark and told him that he was going to go take a shower and Clark nodded his head blushing. Lex was really going to need this time to come up with a Clark proof plan to keep his farmboy out of scary Green’s way. Kryptonia might not be able to hurt Clark but she could snap his loved ones in two with her pinky. He was really going to have to have that long talk with Clark, but first things first, he really wanted a shower.
******************************************************8
Clark knew he was being paranoid as hell but he could not help it. He was scared to death that Lex would go green at any minute and just start killing people if they so much as scratched the surface of the new desk or the new flat screen TV. He had literally jumped when a woman stumbled and shattered a very expensive vase. He had watched with bated breath for Lex to hiss and throw her through the nearest available wall but only for him to help her up and clean the mess.
Lex had walked up to him and smiled and Clark felt himself heat up just a little. Lex told him that he was going to go take a shower and Clark really wanted to ask if he wanted some company. That thought had really made him blush as he watched Lex leave the room.
So far the room was starting to look like its normal self again. The only difference, and Clark knew he was going to go to hell for being happy about it was that never again would the evil shadow of Lionel Luthor loom over Lex’s castle.
He noticed some people had stopped doing whatever the hell it was they were doing to stare at him. He must have been grinning like a damn fool and quickly cleared his throat, “If I was ya’ll I’d be done and gone by the time he gets back.”
That made each of them blink and they kicked it into overdrive. Clark had to feel sorry for them. He knew Lex could be scary but these people seemed to live in terror of the young Luthor heir who about to inherit everything. Clark suddenly caught himself using his supersonic hearing and heard Lex singing in the shower, “If I was a rich man…” Clark doubled over with laughter and the people kept on working thinking he was a damn nut case.
**********************************************************
Lex stood in the shower for quite some time allowing the hot water to run over and down his back. It felt really good and he felt the tension in his muscles just start to slowly fade away. He could not help but smile. He knew he was going to get the express pass straight to hell for being happy about it, but hell, his father was dead! Lionel Luthor was fucking dead and he shall never again darken his office space with his long shadow. He let out a slight insane giggle while whispering, “I’m free.”
Then a thought flashed through his mind and he really started to laugh madly. The Luthor billions were now his. All of his father’s companies and stocks were now his. Everything his father eve owned was now his property. He was now more than able to give his farmboy whatever the fuck his golden heart desired.
He squeezed the shampoo from the bottle and started to lather it and massaged it across his bare scalp. The kind of shampoo kept his scalp all nice, smooth, and shiny. He started to sing, “If I was a rich man,” to a very off key Gwen Stefani bastardization. He snorted again and let the water rinse the shampoo down the drain and then followed up with a very expensive conditioner which was made from something he could not even pronounce, but he need not let anyone else know that.
He let the steam swirl around him while he let the water rush over his pale face. He was free from his father but had a Goddess in his head that could pretty well take over his body anytime she wanted, or maybe only when she regained enough power to do so. He would need to look into this and see. Maybe it had something to do with the meteor rocks that littered the ground all throughout Smallville.
Fuck! He still needed to do something about the damn meteor rocks. How the hell was he going to keep Clark in the dark about this? Plus, he was really going to have to have that talk. Then an idea blasted him right between the eyes, “Perfect!”
**********************************************************
Clark watched from the sofa while the cleaning crew packed up their gear to leave for the day. He thought it was fascinating how they were able to clean up his and Kryptonia’s mess so quickly without any sort of special powers at all. He felt kind of bad watching them clean up a mess that he partly made. As soon as the last of the crewmembers left the room he went into super Clark mode to clean up the last of the debris battle. He suddenly stopped in front of the fireplace to observe his handiwork. Clark had to admit he was good.
He looked over to see Lex walk into the room in nothing but a pair of loose silk pajama bottoms and his mouth fell and hit the floor, hard. The older man looked good enough to eat and Clark didn’t just want a slice, no sir, he wanted the whole damn pie. Lex felt himself blush from being eyed by Clark and Clark noticed.
Lex noticing this quickly cleared his throat, “I have to go to Metropolis tomorrow Clark in order to lead the search for my father.”
Clark was having a hard time concentrating on what he was saying. He had never seen the older man topless before and Clark wanted to sink his fangs and talons into his hot body. He quickly shook his head, “What?”
Lex coughed wondering if Clark was thinking some very dirty thoughts right now. God he hoped so. He smiled at the farmboy and looked his clean study over, “I said that I need to go to Metropolis for the weekend tomorrow to clear up the business about my father’s sudden disappearance.”
Clark nodded his head, “Maybe I should go with you then.”
Lex thought, “That’s my farmboy,” and then asked, “Do you think your parents will let you?”
Clark looked to be thinking that over in his head, “I think they would want me to be there in case you suddenly go green again.”
“Is that what we’re calling it now,” Lex asked with a raised eyebrow, “Clark?”
Clark smiled, “You got a better term for your divine condition?”
Lex snorted, “Not very punny.”
“I’m sorry Lex,” Clark said sadly, “I was so scared.”
Lex looked up from his new laptop to see Clark with tears in his eyes. Before he knew what he was doing he quickly walked over and put his arms around the bigger man, “I’m ok Clark,” he whispered, “See?”
Clark trembled a little, “I punched you in the face.”
Lex snorted, “I didn’t even feel it.”
“No,” Clark said, “But if she had suddenly lost Control you would be dead and shattered on the ground.”
Lex had never seen Clark like this. Clark had never done something like this before and it scared the hell out of him. He pulled Clark over to the sofa with him, “Let’s sit down.”
Clark did as he was told without question. He was glad that they were now sitting because his knees had threatened to give out earlier when he saw Lex walk in half naked. He was so close to Lex. The warmth of his body and soothing and his scent was intoxicating. He loved having Lex’s arms around him so tightly. It made him feel, secure.
Lex held his beloved farmboy close and noticed that Clark was very subtly sniffing him. Lex felt his breath hitch a little when he felt Clark’s lips on his neck slowly moving his mouth along his collarbone. Lex closed his eyes hoping this was what he thought it was.
Suddenly he felt something wet and feathery stroke across his shoulder and realized that Clark had just licked him. He jumped from the sensation and Clark shot up faster than the eye could see. Lex saw that he had the guiltiest look on his face and he never ever wanted to see that look on his beautiful face again.
Clark stuttered, “I’m sorry Lex,” and quickly moved for the door to leave, “I’ll just let myself out.”
“Stop,” Lex said louder than he meant to and Clark turned to look at him as if he was about to be sent to the gallows but was surprised when Lex said, “Don’t leave me alone.”
Clark felt his eyes widen when Lex looked up at him hopefully, “I love you Clark.”
Clark gently closed and his eyes and breathed in, “How do you love me Lex?”
Lex gathered up all his courage and walked over to stand in front of Clark while putting his hands on either side of his face pulling his head down in front of his, “Like this,” and promptly kissed Clark on the lips.
********************************************************
Clark was lying at the foot of Lex’s bed with Lex asking, “So you came down in the meteor shower?”
Clark nodded his head, “I’m the reason for everything bad that ever happens in town.”
Lex crawled down next to him, “You were just a baby Clark,” Lex said pulling him close, “It’s not your fault.”
“I’m the reason for all the meteor freaks,” Clark whispered, “I’m the reason you lost all your hair.”
Lex snorted, “Thank god,” he said, “I looked terrible with frizzy red hair.”
Clark looked up at him, “You were a red head?”
Lex nodded, “I would look so stupid right now if I had hair.”
Clark smiled when Lex ran his long pale fingers through his thick locks, “So,” he said, “Let me get this straight. You can shoot fire from your eyes, see through objects, are faster than a speeding bullet, and strong enough to throw a tractor clear across Smallville?”
Clark nodded, “Well, the tractor was an accident thanks to the solar flares and all, and Perry White was a real handful.”
Lex laughed and nuzzled closer into his chest and Clark breathed him in, “I’m sorry Lex.”
Lex looked up at him, “For what?”
Clark looked down at his fingers which were tracing random patterns on the spread, “For a God taking over your body.”
Lex took his chin in his fingers and felt the light stubble and looked into those sad puppy dog eyes, “Actually,” he whispered, “It’s my fault.”
Clark looked confused, “How?”
Lex took a deep breath, “I was sort of snooping around the farm they day you found me hanging in that blasted net.”
Clark’s eyes narrowed, “Why?”
Lex closed his eyes, “To find your secrets.”
Clark pulled away from him and sat up looking straight at the wall and Lex was afraid that he would burn a hole right though it if he looked at it any harder. Lex grabbed his hands, “I’m sorry,” he said squeezing them tightly, “I should have waited for you tell me in your own time.”
Clark looked at him sadly, “Curiosity killed the cat Lex.”
Lex turned away, “Good thing I’m not a cat,” and then turned sad eyes to look at him, “But you’re right, this time it might.”
Clark felt the smaller man start to shake, “I’m scared Clark,”
It was whispered and yet Clark heard it loud and clear. He was so stunned by the confession that he almost fell off the bed but he caught himself. He stared at the silent tears in the older man’s icy blues. Clark took him by the shoulders and pulled him into a tight embrace, “I love you Lex.”
Lex looked at him with a smile so bright it blinded, “You do?”
Clark kissed his forehead, “You smell nice.”
Lex laughed, “Will you come to Metropolis with me then?”
Clark nodded his head, “Let me go home and tell my parents and I’ll pack up for the weekend,” then stopped, “Damn, I have school tomorrow though.”
Lex rolled his eyes, “We can wait until after school.”
Clark looked at him with that big goofy grin that would just make girls scream, “Are you sure?”
Lex laughed and pulled Clark to his big clumsy feet, “Come on farmboy, I’ll drive you home.”
