Forbidden Love
Chapter 7

Rosco opened his eyes the next morning, jumping slightly when he saw Bo propped up on one elbow and looking down at him. "Morning cowboy," Bo whispered, just before leaning down for a gentle kiss, drawing back with a smile on his face.

"mmmm....A man could get used to waking up like this," Rosco murmurred, wrapping his arms around Bo and pulling him back down for a deeper kiss. "Just what time is it anyway?" Rosco asked, noticing for the first time that the sky held just the faintest hint of light.

"Huh?...oh, it's six o'clock, why?" Bo asked, shifting position, and laying his head on Rosco's chest, he smiled at the sound of his lover's heart beneath his ear.

"Six o'clock? Sorry, didn't mean to snap, I just ain't used to getting up this early."

"Want to go back to sleep?"

"Nope, got to be up in an hour anyway," Rosco replied with a sly grin, "And part of me is already up." Rolling Bo onto his back, Rosco moved so that Bo could clearly feel the older man's erection against his leg.

"Guess I should make it up to ya," Bo whispered, reaching for his lover's cock and beginning to pump it. Kissing his way down Rosco's body, he stopped when he came to the older man's cock. Slowly running his tongue up the underside of his lover's dick, Bo smiled at the soft moans coming from Rosco's throat. Gently sucking the head of Rosco's cock into his mouth, Bo was more than ready when his lover bucked up from the bed. Opening his mouth and relaxing his throat, he took the older man's cock as deep as he could.

"Ahhhhh Bo, turn around sweetheart, let me do you too," Rosco moaned.

Shifting around so that his feet lay at the head of the bed, Bo was soon moaning along with his lover as he felt his own cock encased in moist heat. He tried to focus his attention on his lover, but the sensations that Rosco was creating were making that almighty difficult. "Slow down cowboy, this ain't a race," Bo whispered, before diving back onto Rosco's cock like a starving man. Relaxing when Rosco eased off, Bo turned his focus back to the task at hand. Thoroughly enjoying the taste and smell of his lover, he knew he would never be able to get enough of this man that he loved.

Easing off, Rosco gentled the suction he had been applying to his lover's dick. Rosco pulled back until only the head of Bo's dick lay in his mouth. Using his tongue he softly swirled it around the head, delving into the slit every few passes, keeping the younger man aroused and ready. Rosco shivered as Bo suddenly increased the suction he was using, humming as he took Rosco deep into his throat. The feel of his lover's vocal cords vibrating around him, combined with the suction to send him over the edge. Taking Bo deeper into his mouth, using his lover's length to muffle his scream, Rosco shot his load down the younger man's waiting throat. As Bo licked him clean, Rosco began to increase his own suction, before drawing back for a moment. "My turn now," he whispered huskily. Taking Bo's length back into his mouth, he soon had the younger man, writhing with pleasure and begging for more. Rosco wished he could take Bo as deeply as Bo had taken him, but he still couldn't seem to get the hang of it. Not that the younger man seemed to mind any. As if to prove his thoughts correct, Bo suddenly shot his own load into Rosco's throat, muffling his scream against the older man's leg. "Thank you, that was wonderful," Rosco whispered, drawing Bo into his arms and kissing him deeply.

"Bo? Much as I'm enjoying this, I'm gonna have to get up soon and get ready for work. Have you thought any about talking to Luke and Jesse?"

Bo stopped playing with the hairs on Rosco's chest, letting his hand rest over the other man's heart. "I don't think I'm ready...but I will if you want me to. I know it ain't really gonna work for me to stay here," Bo answered, trying to hide the fear and disappointment he felt.

"Hey now, none of that." Rosco admonished, tilting Bo's head up until he could look him in the eye. "We've talked about this before Bo...I won't ever ask you to do anything you don't want to do. That includes you talking to your family about what happened. I think you should give them a chance, but that's your decision to make not mine. As for staying here, I ain't saying there won't be some things to work out, but you're always welcome here. In fact, if I can figure a few things out I'd love for you to move in here, no matter what happens with your family."

"Do you mean that Rosco?" Bo asked, feeling unusually shy.

"Of course I mean it sweetheart. I just have to figure out how to deal with Boss, he ain't gonna like it none when I tell him I'm through helping him."

"WHAT? When did you decide that?"

"After I shot you," Rosco replied, his eyes reflecting the turmoil he'd felt that day. "When I saw you laying there on the ground Bo and...all that blood on your shirt. I was never more afraid in my life, I was sure I was gonna lose you and all I could do was pray that God wouldn't take you. I sat at the hospital for six hours, scared to death that the doctor would come out any minute and say you were gone. Almost as bad as worrying about you was knowing that I couldn't let anybody know why I was so worried. I'll tell ya one thing, I was real glad that day that Daisy already knew the truth. She couldn't say anything of course, but a few times she managed to show her sympathy with a look. Might not have been much, but it helped. I held it together pretty well considering, until after I knew you'd be okay and I had to come home. I stood in the shower and...watched the water turn pink as your blood was being washed off of me. That was when I knew that I couldn't keep pretending to help Boss, not if it meant innocent people getting hurt, or worse. I ain't figured it all out yet, but I will. I ain't letting that man control this county anymore. I'm gonna go back to being the honest sheriff I used to be, even if it means living on beans and taters for the rest of my days."

"I love you Rosco and I'd be proud to stay here with you, wouldn't be the first time I lived on beans and taters. 'Sides, I can hunt, make sure we got some meat to go with 'em." Bo told him, proud that Rosco had finally decided to take back control of his own life. Bo remembered what Hazzard had been like before Boss Hogg had a supposedly crooked sheriff to help him. Oh sure, the man still schemed and plotted, but without help from the local law he hadn't been able to do as much damage. "Still two years 'til the next election, that'll be plenty of time for you to prove to the people of Hazzard that you're through being crooked. It'll give us a chance too, we'll have time to show them that there's nothing wrong with our love."

"That's the other problem with you living here. I don't know how folks are gonna take to the idea, but you can bet there's gonna be some that'll have a problem with it. Bo, if enough people object I might not be sheriff in two years. Might not even take that long, they could force a recall election and I'd be out of a job, then what?" Rosco asked, wanting to be sure that the younger man thought it all through.

"Like Uncle...well we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, if we get to it. Rosco, I ain't gonna be on probation forever, then we could leave Hazzard if we had to. Far as that goes, well I know Boss thinks he has control over that, but he doesn't have as much as he thinks. Unc...that deal was made with the ATF. If I go to them and tell them the situation, they can give me permission to move somewhere else and assign me a new probation officer when I get where I'm going." Bo jumped, the blare of Rosco's alarm clock startling him. "You better go get a shower, I'll go.... Guess I'll see if Miss Evelyn needs any help with breakfast," Bo said, climbing out of the bed and slipping his clothes on.

"Miss Evelyn these pancakes are great!"

"Thank you Bo," Evelyn replied, blushing slightly at the compliment.

"I sure appreciate you letting me stay here Miss Evelyn, you sure it ain't no trouble?"

"I already told you honey, you're welcome to stay here just as long as you need to. Now I don't want to here another word about it, okay?"

Bo nodded in response, not sure if he should say anything about Rosco's invitation.

"Actually Mama, I asked Bo to move in here with me. That is if we can work all the details out and he doesn't want to go back to Jesse's farm."

"That's a wonderful idea son! I don't understand though, what details are you referring to?"

"After Bo got shot I decided that I'm through working for Boss, I just haven't told him yet. He ain't gonna like it none and he may try to cause trouble. Then there's the fact that some folks will probably have a problem with Bo living here and us being together. It could get ugly Mama..."

"Oh as if I care about that, and the people of this town may just surpise you Rosco Pervis Coltrane. I'm sure there will be a few trouble-makers, but they're the type that would use any excuse to start trouble. No, I think if people see that I'm fine with the situation, they'll adjust to the changes soon enough."

"Guess it'd help if my family was behind us too, wouldn't it? Rosco maybe I could go see Un...them today after all."

"I love you for offering Bo," Rosco said, reaching across the table for Bo's hand. "But I don't think you should today. Sweetheart you can't even say their names right now, I don't want you forcing yourself to do something you ain't ready for. We'll go see them, when and if you're ready, and not a moment sooner, alright?"

"Are you sure?" Bo asked, grinning when he saw the determined look on Rosco's face. "Yeah you're sure, thank you Rosco, I love you." Turning towards Evelyn, Bo offered to clear away the breakfast dishes, giving Rosco a moment alone with his mother.

"Rosco son, have you thought about what you'll do without JD's money?"

"No, not really. I know money will be tight and we may not be eating as good as we are now, but Mama I can't keep on like this. We were lucky this time, what if somebody gets killed next time something goes wrong?"

"Son you misunderstand me, I don't have a problem with tightening my belt. I'm proud of you son, I only wanted to be sure you knew what you were doing. Though I don't think things will be as difficult as you imagine they will," Evelyn stated cryptically.

"What are you getting at Mama?"

"You know your Uncle Henry is very well off, and with no children of his own, he plans to will his money to you and your sisters. Now several years ago he told me something and made me promise not to tell any of you children until the time was right. Rosco son, Henry told me that if any of you ever had a truly pressing need, he would turn over a portion of your inheritance to you early. I didn't tell you before because I knew you weren't really helping JD with his schemes, and well a man has his pride. I just thought you should know that if the situation becomes too difficult, financially speaking, you won't have to worry."

"Mama you have just taken a load off my mind, thank you. Now that I know that, I know I'll be able to stick to my guns with Boss. Though I think I'll wait to tell him until Bo straightens things out with his family, no sense in taking on another problem before we have to. Speaking of Bo, think I'll go say goodbye," standing up, Rosco leaned down, kissing his mother's cheek as he passed, "have a good day Mama."

Stepping into the kitchen, Rosco smiled at the sight of Bo up to his elbows in dishwater. "I have to go now Bo," Rosco said, wrapping his arms around the younger man.

Turning in his lover's arms, Bo smiled at the man, "I know, love you...thank you for being patient with me."

"Ah Bo, you don't have to thank me for that. I swore to you that I would never make you doing anything you didn't want, this ain't any different. Now I really do have to go...love you," Rosco whipered, kissing Bo's lips and reluctantly walking out the door.

"Uncle Jesse I think we should go see Rosco, make him tell us where Bo is," Luke told his uncle as they sat at the kitchen table. It had been three days since Rosco's visit to the farm, and Luke was getting worried that Bo would never come home.

"Now Luke, we said we'd give him a week and that's what we're gonna do," Jesse responded ,his tone offering no room for argument.

"Yes sir."

Driving out to the farm, Rosco looked over at where his lover sat stiffly in the passenger seat. When Bo had told him that he was finally ready to talk to his family, Rosco had wondered if he was pushing himself. He had seemed alright in town, dressed once again in his own clothes, Bo had thanked Rosco's mother for cleaning them and then headed out to the car. He could tell that Bo was nervous, but it didn't seem to be any worse than you would expect, given the circumstances. Driving through town, Rosco had enjoyed the feeling of Bo's head lying in his lap. He had been a little disappointed when they were safely out of town and Bo could once again sit up properly in his seat. Now though, only a couple of miles from the Duke farm and Rosco was again doubting that Bo was ready for this. "Bo? You know we can turn around anytime you say."

"I know," Bo whispered. Taking a deep breath, he continued in a stronger voice, "But I need to do this cowboy. Can't put it off forever, and I can't move on until it's settled, one way or another. Don't worry, I'll be okay," Bo assured his lover, touched by the concern in Rosco's voice.

"Alright, if you're sure."

Pulling into the yard of the Duke farm a couple of minutes later, Rosco put the car in park and turned off the engine. Sitting in the car, he waited. Five minutes later, Bo finally opened the door and climbed out of the patrol car. Stepping out of the car, Rosco met Bo at the front, slipping an arm around Bo's waist, Rosco steered him towards the house.

Inside the house, Luke had jumped to his feet when he heard the car pull up. Looking out the window he was relieved to see that Bo was in the car with Rosco. "Why doesn't he come inside? Do you think he changed his mind Uncle Jesse?" Luke asked. "Wait a minute, they're getting out of the car."

"Come away from that window boy and sit down," Jesse ordered gruffly. Standing up, Jesse answered the knock at the kitchen door several seconds later. "Bo," the old man whispered, reaching out to hug his nephew, he drew back in sadness when Bo flinched from his touch. "I'm glad you're here sprout, we've missed having you around."

"I don't know if I'm staying or not. You raised me though and I guess I should give you a chance to explain why you did what you did." Bo told him in a flat, cold voice.

Swallowing hard at the coldness he heard in Bo's voice, Jesse stepped back and motioned the two men towards the living room. Looking at his other two kids, Jesse was filled with a deep sadness as the realization of just how deeply he had hurt his youngest hit him. *Lord, please give me the words I need to reach my boy. While you're helping me find the words, could you open Bo's heart and help him to hear them? Amen* Jesse silently prayed, as he followed the others, hoping that the damage he'd caused could be repaired.
