Summary: A holiday in the mountains, just what the Doctor (Grissom) ordered.
Author note: I have no idea where else this will end up now that ff net have made their displeasure known, but I am very grateful to Irishdachsie for her continued support in posting my fics on her site. I would also like to take this chance to say thank you to everyone who has contacted me directly with consolation, sympathy and requests to send them the next chapters when ready!!
N.B.I shall also be posting to adult-fanfiction.org now. It's a little slower than ff.net, but worth the wait (though I could be biased).
Last Chance (7)
For only the second time in a long time Gil Grissom surfaced naturally from a deep and restful sleep. He felt extraordinarily good and for the smallest of moments he wondered why.
But even as he wondered, his brain took in the unusual warmth at his back, registered the arm around his waist, the tangle of legs, the soft flow of another's breath against his shoulder.
Grissom smiled. The smile expanded to a grin. Though no one witnessed it, it was charming. It combined the bashful little boy's 'well, I never' with the man's 'I ride roller coasters for the thrill' grins.
There are moments in life when you wish that you could take a snapshot out of time and preserve every piece of it. Moments when you are truly happy, or satisfied, or elated, serenely content or just discover that the one you love loves you back.
This was just such a moment for Grissom.
Here in this bed with Sara at his back, away from anything that would try to ruin what they had together, he felt something that he had never felt before and had no idea was missing.
Grissom felt complete.
He savoured the feeling, knowing that it might not last, knowing that reality would intrude soon enough.
He was lying on his left side, facing away from the window, with Sara's arm around his waist. He looked down at her hand and moved his hand to rest on top of Sara's, threading his fingers loosely through hers. He was in no hurry to get up or to go and get on with the rest of the day.
Grissom closed his eyes again. The grin persisted.
She had forgotten to close the drapes.
It was the first conscious thing that Sara thought as she drifted awake.
Even before she had surfaced completely she was aware that she was not at home.
The unaccustomed light in the room was coming from the wrong side of the bed.
All thought of the drapes fled with the realisation that she was not alone in the bed.
Gil.
Sara lay perfectly still but relaxed as she ran through an inventory of how she was feeling. Words like dreamy and sappy sprung to mind. Like she had finally figured out what all those love songs had been on about.
Gil.
Just the mention of his name in her thoughts was making her throb in places much further south than her head. She felt the unaccustomed ache of muscles not used for a while.
She had her head resting against Grissom's back, her left cheek over his right shoulder blade. She inhaled and took in the sleepy warm smell of him.
Sara sighed gently with contentment. It was the first time that she had felt truly rested in a long time.
She was not surprised. She and Gil had made love three times and they had finally fallen in to deep sleep about one in the morning. She didn't know what the time was now, but it didn't feel early.
Sara resisted the urge to stretch like a cat. She loved the tangle of her legs with Gil's. His hairy legs such a contrast to her long smooth limbs.
She felt conflicted. She didn't want to move from this comfortable position cuddling Gil - what a treat it was to even have those words in the same thought - but she also wanted to wake him with a kiss that was a prelude to more lovemaking.
Sara was unable to prevent the smirk forming on her face and her lips curved upward in glee. She had sex with Gil. She'd actually had sex, made love with Gil Grissom. YES! It had been every bit as fantastically glorious as she thought it would be.
Actually it had been better than she had ever realised that sex could be.
Sara recalled a conversation an age ago in 'Frisco with a work colleague who had said to her that 'whoever said that chocolate was better than sex had to be doing it wrong'. She understood now what she had meant. Admittedly she hadn't had a huge amount of experience and the few men that she had slept with hadn't really been that successful. But she had put that down to her own inability to respond. Something had always held her back from completely letting herself go.
Then along came the Bugman.
The first time had been fiery and explosive, pulling a response from her that had amazed her. She assumed that it had been because it was the first time that she and Gil had been together. But when he had reached for her a second time and she had felt the heat rise up and consume her again in such a short space of time she had begun to realise that this - whatever 'this' was - would be different from anything that had come before.
Then they had dozed, and Sara had awakened first, watching Grissom sleep by the light of the moon shining in through the window. With her head resting on her bent left arm she had allowed her gaze to travel over him. From his salt and pepper unruly hair, over his face - so relaxed in sleep - to the shadowed dimple in his chin, down his bare torso and beyond to where the arrow of hair began before disappearing under the quilt draped across his hips. Gil's left leg was on top of the quilt, probably to cool him down. As her eyes travelled back up his body she marvelled that she was here beside Grissom, the man she had loved for so long.
It had come as a shock to find Grissom's eyes open and glittering in the moonlight as he looked at her.
He hadn't said anything, just lay there quietly. He didn't reach for her as she was both expecting and hoping for. Sara realised that he was waiting. He was letting her make the decision. He wanted her as an equal and active partner, not just one that responded to him.
She would have to go to him.
It was a revelation. She was self-assured and confident in her ability at work, but lacked that same confidence in her personal life. She had realised that she had always been the passive partner in her previous relationships, she had never been the aggressor, never made the first move.
Until that moment.
Tentatively she had leaned forward and slid her hand across that smooth warm chest. Grissom's sharp inhalation had exhilarated Sara, making her feel desired and desirable. It made her more assured and she leaned forward further to place her lips softly upon his. It began as a soft kiss, one of sensuality rather than carnality, but it swiftly became highly charged as they each responded to the other's arousal.
The third time had been a slower, less frenetic journey of exploration and discovery, but had culminated in the same explosive release that had left them both drained. They had both fallen deeply asleep afterwards, still wrapped in each other's arms.
On all three occasions, Sara had found that she was unable to remain passive with Grissom. He called to her on some elemental level that left her no choice but to respond to him.
Sara brought herself back to the present and without conscious thought she relaxed against Grissom. If only they could stay like this.
Her right arm was draped over his waist and she could feel her hand clasped within his. It engendered a feeling of protection and possession that Sara was surprised to find she did not mind. It did not make her feel trapped or weak, it made her feel cherished.
She had never felt that way in any other relationship.
And that did scare her.
. . . . . . . . . . .
The next time Grissom surfaced it was because the delectable Ms Sidle was exercising her right to be the initiator of his new favourite contact sport.
He tried to pretend that he was still asleep to see how far she would go, but the curve of his lips gave him away. That, and his burgeoning arousal.
The hand wandering across his chest and stomach halted and Grissom felt Sara shift to slip one leg between the two of his. If he hadn't already had his eyes closed he would have closed them with the sheer delight of the press of her breasts against the right side of his chest. The hand resumed its journey southwards. His breath hitched.
"I'll give you just one hour to pack that in, Sidle."
A delightful feminine giggle greeted his growl and he opened his eyes just in time to see her face closing in on his. He was surprised to feel her lips on his chin and then the soft touch of her tongue to the cleft dimple.
Sara backed away to see his reaction. He looked a little puzzled but mainly he looked...indulgent.
Sara grinned.
"I have wanted to do that almost from the first moment we met."
Grissom looked at her face as he moved one hand to her waist and the other to the thigh of the leg between his.
"Really? I wish I'd known."
Sara raised an eyebrow in amused curiosity. While waiting for his reply she could feel him grip her right thigh and pull the leg over his left one.
"Why? You wouldn't have done anything about it, would you?"
Sara had been deftly positioned directly over Grissom, and his arousal lay firmly against her mons. Both of Grissom's hands now roamed over her smooth peach of a butt.
"No, I wouldn't. However, it would have featured in my solitary sex that second evening."
"What?!"
Sara's delighted disbelief made her body vibrate against Grissom and his hips pushed up toward hers without being told.
"You heard. It had been bad enough that first lecture when you asked all those questions and had half the class wishing that you'd be quiet so that they could go home earlier - I say 'bad' in a good way. That dawas was attracted to your intellect. The repeat lecture the following day you didn't ask any questions, but your distraction quotient went through the roof."
Sara wiggled against Grissom to optimise his placement against her and sighed happily when he stroked against her hot spot. If he was not careful he might distract her completely from the story and she wanted to hear what happened.
"Distraction quotient? You ignored me the entire time."
Grissom shook his head.
"Couldn't if I'd tried. I couldn't concentrate. You were wearing this dress that said 'come and get it' and it was the first time I'd had to refer to my notes to get through a talk that I knew backwards. That was one of the reasons I had to remain at the desk."
Sara smirked as she lifted her torso up, both giving Grissom an eyeful of her breasts and pressing her hips down on his.
"ONE of the reasons?"
Grissom admired the view aimed at him and then looked back to Sara's eyes.
"Yes, that and the huge hard on that I couldn't hide easily in the pants fashion of the day."
Sara shook her head in amusement.
"If only I'd known. I thought that you'd been completely unmoved."
Grissom smiled reminiscently.
"Oh, I was 'moved' several times that night."
Sara laughed aloud as he smirked up at her. When she had finished laughing she lowered her head and kissed him thoroughly.
He kissed her right back.
Grissom moved both hands to Sara's thighs and pulled them towards him. The move made Sara's legs open more and flattened her down on to Grissom. She tingled in anticipation as she felt the blunt end of him slide along her folds. She felt his stomach muscles flex and it lifted his erection just sufficiently for her to slide him effortlessly home.
They broke off their kiss to look each other in the eyes, savouring their joining.
Grissom looked at Sara in all seriousness.
"You still move me."
. . . . . . . . .^^^. . . . . . . .
"So what do you think they're doing right now?"
"You're assuming that 'they' are together."
Warrick looked up at Nick from his seated position in front of his locker. His hands continued to do up the buttons of the shirt he had just changed into despite the distraction of the Texan's question.
Warrick automatically looked at his watch. It was the end of the shift and early in the morning. If it were him, he would be still in bed. Especially if he had company.
However, it was Grissom they were talking about. Warrick tried to think of it from Gil's point of view.
"Sleeping."
Nick's wide grin was a lot more disrespectful than he intended.
"Ya think? See now, that's where you and I differ."
Warrick didn't say anything, but his raised eyebrow said 'go on'.
"See, I think he's takin' time out to reassess his priorities. He ain't getting' any younger, maybe he's decided to go for broke."
Warrick protested mildly.
"He's hardly in his dotage. Even if he sometimes likes us to get fooled into thinking he's not up to speed."
Nick put his hand out to emphasise his answer.
"Ah, yeah, but then he sneaks in with one of those damn one-liners that dump us on our butts again. Leavin' us older and wiser."
Warrick nodded.
"Yeah, and sometimes just older. But he's still the best. It's not up to us to think about what he's doing on his holiday. At least, not out aloud."
Warrick's warning was not lost on Nick. A couple of times he had let the side down with his loose lips, and Grissom was not above letting him know that he had displeased him.
"Point taken." Nick lowered his voice. " 'Tween you and me though, if I were away on holiday with a cutie like Sara, she wouldn't be there just to offer me a second opinion about prioritising my life."
"Don't I know that. Man, don't let Catherine catch you talking like this, she'll skin you alive."
Warrick shook his head as he stood up. He looked at Nick soberly.
"To be honest I'm worried about Sara. I don't know what's going on, but something's not right. The last couple of months she hasn't been herself. She's lost weight she can't afford to lose."
Nick thought back over the last two months. Isolated pieces of information jumped out at him now that he was looking for them. It wasn't just about Sara either.
"Yeah, now I come to think about it, she has. What's more, I think Grissom might have some idea what it's about."
Warrick looked at him again. He wondered if Nick had seen the same things that he had.
"What makes you think that?"
"Remember that time Grissom stopped Sara from jumping all over Greggo? She came out of the breakroom and headed for his office, no questions asked. I had only just left; he hadn't had time to find out what was buggin' her."
"He might just have been giving her some privacy."
Nick looked disbelieving.
"You and I both know that Grissom isn't a people person. Sometimes he's as sensitive as a two by four across the back of the head. But he sends Sara - of all people - back to HIS office?"
Warrick conceded the point as a 'maybe'.
"What else?"
"They have been working together more lately."
"You know he's been trying since his op. to 'reconnect' with everyone. He's never gonna be 'Mr Chatty', but he is trying to be more approachable."
Nick thought some more for more tangible evidence. He clicked his fingers and pointed at Warrick in his excitement.
" Tell me that you didn't see that eyeball thing they had goin' before that dead guy with the hole in his foot case. Greg even kicked me under the table."
Warrick had to agree with that one having no other logical explanation.
"Yeah, we all know that there has been this unspoken thing going on between them, but that doesn't mean that they are doing anything about it.
Nick snorted with disbelief.
"Sometimes they stand so close that you couldn't get a sheet of paper between them!"
Warrick grinned at the other man's frustration.
"Hey man, the evidence is the evidence, it's the interpretation that is key. Besides, you're preaching to the converted."
"I...what?"
" You don't have to convince me. I was playing Devil's advocate. You know what I think is the biggest give-away? I'll give you a clue. It isn't there anymore."
Nick stood with his hands on his hips while he cast his mind back. After a minute or so he tutted.
"Okay, I'll give. What?"
Warrick grinned.
"They don't flirt any more."
Nick looked at him in mild shock. Warrick was right.
"I'll be darned. I should have seen that."
Both men turned to walk out of the locker room.
Nick grinned at Warrick.
"So what do you think they're doing right now?"
. . . . . . . . . . . .
"Go on, admit it."
Sara didn't bother to hide her glee as she turned to face him and Grissom was pleased to see the animation in her features. She looked as happy as she sounded.
"I don't need to admit anything. We are not lost."
They had been out walking for a couple of hours, nothing too strenuous because Sara had not brought hiking boots, but brisk enough to make them warm. Grissom was dressed in his favourite well-broken in jeans and a light wool shirt with the sleeves rolled up to reveal his forearms. Sara had her own jeans but had borrowed one of Grissom's shirts and had the sleeves rolled up to just below her elbows.
Grissom carried a rucksack, which contained bottled water, the usual first aid supplies, a torch, a rug and a couple of packs of sandwiches.
Sara stopped beside a large flat area of grass at the edge of the trail they were following. She looked ahead to where the path started downwards again and back the way they had come. This was the highest point of the trail so far, and the trees were beginning to thin out, but there were still enough to provide a wind break. Sara didn't care if she was lost; she was with Grissom. She looked out over the valley.
"Whatever. The view is fabulous."
Grissom was just drawing abreast of her and he looked out at the beautiful scenery. He looked back to Sara's glowing face.
No contest.
While still looking at Sara he said softly,
"Yes, the view is wonderful."
Sara moved closer to him to touch his arm and connect, simply because it was now allowed. She smiled at the compliment, more comfortable about accepting them from him now.
"For that, you get first choice at the sandwiches."
Grissom could still feel the imprint of her fingers on his bare forearm. He was more moved than he was prepared to admit even to himself. He managed a smirk.
"Was that a hint?"
Even as he answered he shrugged off the rucksack, sliding his arms out of the straps and propped it upright on the ground.
"I guess."
Sara crouched down to the scrubby grass and ran her hand over the ground.
"Feels dry enough."
Grissom silently handed her the rug and she shook it out, then laid it flat.
Sara seated herself on it, leaving one side free for Grissom.
Grissom handed Sara one of the bottles of water and took the food out of the rucksack. He dropped the bag to the back of the rug and took his place beside Sara.
He looked at her. She was sitting with her legs straight out in front of her. She was leaning back on both arms and had her face pointing upwards, enjoying the warm sun. His gaze ran over her body and he thought that there was something fundamentally sexy about a woman in a man's shirt. Her eyes were closed but she was grinning.
"You're looking at me."
Grissom was seated upright but facing Sara to his left. His left leg was out straight, parallel to Sara's, and his right was bent at the knee with his right arm resting on that same knee. His left hand rested on the rug, just beside the wrapped sandwiches.
Grissom smirked.
"How could you possibly know that?"
It was Sara's turn to smirk.
"You want the logical answer or the truth?"
Grissom continued looking at Sara.
"I'm intrigued. Can't I have both answers?"
Sara shrugged, still with her eyes closed.
"Okay. Logical answer; we're in a new phase of interaction, our social has become our sexual, and it's natural that we would take any opportunity to check each other out, ergo, you were looking at me. Just as I look at you whenever I can. You were looking at my butt on the way up here. But that's okay, 'cause I was checking yours out when you were in front." She opened one eye to look says ays at him. " Very nice, by the way."
Grissom wasn't sure how he felt about her checking him out.
Out of the words he had floating around in his brain, 'flattered' managed to make it to the surface before anything else. He didn't see himself as particularly attractive to women. It was a novel feeling.
"And the other answer?"
"The Truth. Mmn. Well, the truth is when you look at me the hairs on the back of my neck tingle in a very nice way."
Grissom looked surprised.
"Neck hair tingling. Sounds serious. Any cure?"
Sara shook her head.
"Nah, don't want one. Besides, that's small change compared with what happens when you're close enough for me to get a hint of 'aroma d'Grissom'."
Now he looked startled.
"Aroma d'Grissom?"
Sara nodded, still smiling. Somehow it was easier admitting this with her eyes closed. But she wanted him to know how much he affected her.
"Major tingle disturbance. And I don't mean the hair on my head."
Grissom was glad he hadn't started drinking his water because he was sure he would have choked.
"Sara!"
Sara opened her eyes as she turned towards him, still leaning on her right arm. Her smile was big.
"Don't give me that bashful crap, you know your way around a woman. Is it so terrible that I know how you make me feel and enjoy it? Half the fun of great sex is anticipation. I've been in a state of anticipation for years. I know the smell of your deodorant, your toothpaste, your shampoo, and even your fabric conditioner. Whenever I smell those when I am away from you my body recognises them and jumps with excitement. When I get close to you there is something extra that is unique to you that my body knows and responds to. Aroma d'Grissom. Clean, fresh, spicy musk. Horny Grissom is even better."
Sara looked at him and wondered what he would say. If anything.
Grissom pursed his lips, trying to know where to start with some kind of a coherent reply. It didn't help that he had understood completely what she meant and now found himself turned on by her arousal. She wasn't the only one with 'major tingle disturbance'.
His jeans were not quite so comfortable now.
Grissom opened his mouth but still couldn't quite manage to speak. There was so much crowding to come out but he couldn't organise it.
Sara used her left hand to pull a few strands of hair back from her face as she continued to smile at him.
"You know Gil, that in itself is the biggest compliment."
"What?"
"The man who appears to have the answer to everything is speechless."
Grissom's expression was rueful. She was the only one that could do this to him.
"Enjoy it while it lasts."
Sara reached up to Grissom's neck, gently pulling him to her whilst also leaning forward to meet him.
Without conscious thought their heads aligned so that their lips met in perfect synchrony.
Sara broke off first before the kiss ran away with her. With her eyes on his face and her hand still on his warm neck she pulled back slightly.
"I shall. Besides, sometimes you say it best when you say nothing at all."
Grissom closed in for another kiss and this time there was no interruption. His lips moved over Sara's with deliberate intent. His right hand rose to Sara's neck in a similar fashion to her hold on him. Her silky hair ran over the back of his hand and added to his arousal.
Sara nibbled gently at Grissom's lower lip. He felt completely focused on their mouths as she then ran her tongue along his lower lip. She repeated this on his upper lip while he remained passive but receptive to her experimentation. He was surprised at the heat the simple actions were causing and his lips parted in unconscious invitation. Sara was there in an instant, her tongue eagerly seeking out his. When they met Sara groaned with pleasure against him.
Grissom loved her responsiveness. There was no stupid role playing, he knew when she liked what he was doing and he loved knowing it.
He leaned into their embrace, pushing Sara down to the rug and following her. Their lips never parted and Grissom moved his right leg between Sara's, bending his leg slightly to put pressure on her crotch.
Grissom's right hand moved from Sara's neck to trail down the front of the brushed cotton shirt. His fingers passed slowly and tantalisingly over the mound of her left breast. He felt her try to press into his hand and rewarded her keenness with small circling movements of his fingers over her prominent nipple.
Grissom felt Sara's left leg lift up and grip his leg from behind, increasing his pressure on her and pulling his crotch to her right hip. He was completely hard and wanted out of the confinement of his jeans.
Grissom slid his hand further down until he reached Sara's waistband and tugged at her shirt until it was free enough for his hand to slid under the material and onto the smooth warm skin beneath. At his touch Sara's kisses became more heated and her groans louder. Her hands were busy; one in his hair massaging his scalp and holding him firmly to her, the other was pulling the shirt out of his jeans at his back.
Sara could feel Grissom's left arm under her shoulders supporting her, and his right hand travelling up under the shirt. Both her breasts tingled in anticipation, eager for his touch. She succeeded in pulling his shirt out at the waist and lost no time in getting her hand on his flesh at last.
Grissom's fingers came in contact with Sara's bra and impatiently he brushed the flimsy material aside so that he could touch her without any barrier between them.
Sara ached with urgency, desperate to feel Grissom's touch. Her hips pressed up to his and she could feel him hard against her. She felt as if she hadn't had sex in years and craved his weight upon her, his driving thrust within her.
When Grissom's searching fingers finally closed on her pebbled nipple Sara's mouth broke away from his and she cried out with pleasure. Grissom's mouth moved to her neck, his teeth nibbling and his tongue soothing her flesh in counterpoint to each other.
Suddenly just touching Sara with his hand wasn't enough. His mouth watered with anticipation as he pulled his hand out and started pulling the shirt buttons open. Fortunately it being an older shirt the buttons came undone easily. Within moments Sara was lying with the shirt open, exposing her bra and one bare breast. Grissom savoured the view for long seconds and Sara felt his enjoyment vicariously. She felt very female and very powerful. When Grissom's head finally dipped and his mouth closed over her taut nipple she almost screamed with the delicious heat of it.
Sara felt his tongue tease her first, then the tug of his teeth at just the right pressure. The tugging became a pulse of pleasure that throbbed between her legs reverberating back and forth between her breast and her clitoris. She felt her thighs clench and angle upward, trying to meet him coming down.
Grissom felt Sara's hand rubbing against the outside of his jeans and - impossibly - he felt the pressure increase on the inside. He was almost in pain but but wouldn't release the tasty morsel in his mouth. He reached down and popped the top button on his jeans, finding Sara's hand tangled with his.
The pressure from Grissom's erection made the zipper slide down of its own accord and Sara's hand dived inside before he could have any say in the matter. Grissom moaned with pleasure against Sara's breast as her warm hand closed around him, squeezing firmly but gently.
Grissom's now free right hand quickly went to the button of Sara's jeans and flicked it open in a manner that betrayed his eagerness to have her as soon as possible. He tried to get his hand inside, but her jeans were too tight. He tugged on them and succeeded in getting them down to her thighs, accidentally but fortuitously taking her panties with them. His hand dived back to the juncture of her thighs and stroked her firmly. Sara was soaked with arousal and he knew that she was more than ready to take him.
Just as he slid his middle finger into her and felt her surge against him, he felt the unmistakable sting of a raindrop on his bare back. He ignored the first few drops being so caught up in what he was doing.
Both halves of the writhing couple had completely forgotten that they were outside on a blanket. The capricious weather chose that moment to remind them. The raindrops got bigger, heavier and more frequent. It was definitely starting to rain properly.
Grissom didn't want to stop what they were doing, but he didn't want Sara to think that he was a selfish animal either, so he lifted his head and looked into her eyes. She was protected to some extent by his body over hers, but her hair was getting wet and she blinked as the rain hit her face. She was grinning.
"What did you stop for? It's freakin' fantastic."
"The rain."
"What rain?"
Grissom laughed with delight and he could feel the vibration of Sara's laughter through his frame. He looked down at her.
"You game for a quickie?"
"Always!"
And just like that their arousal soared back from simmering to full flame.
Grissom sat up and tugged Sara's sneakers and jeans off - not an easy job now that the latter were getting wet.
He quickly shoved his own down to his knees - he didn't want to waste time unlacing his boots - and rolled Sara beneath him. He felt her legs come up around his hips and her arms around his shoulders. Grissom propped himself on his left forearm and used his right hand to line himself up. There was no frills to his approach, neither of them wanted or needed them. He plunged straight in to Sara and she shouted in exultation. Grissom didn't waste any time and set up a quick but hard pace, slamming in to Sara with no particular grace but great enthusiasm. She met him every step of the way, loving the slap of their flesh together and the grunts of animal pleasure coming from both of them.
It was an exhilarating ride. Sara thought there was something wicked and sexy about fucking outdoors and the thought that someone could possibly catch them upped the ante and shot the heat to her core.
Grissom wasn't thinking very much at all, he was caught up in the sensation of it all. Sara was hot and slick and tight, her body clinging on to him as if he were a vital part of her that mustn't be lost. His balls ached with the need for release, but it was part of his approaching climax and it felt good. He could feel Sara's hands clutch at his shoulders, her short nails digging in and goading him on. Her hips met his frantically and he could hear her gasping out words, telling him, herself or no one how fucking great he was making her feel.
Grissom moved his hands under Sara's back and held on to the underside of her shoulders, bracing both himself and her. His face was turned into but not quite touching her neck. He was vaguely aware that he too was gasping almost incoherently. He was no longer aware of the rain.
Sara strained upwards; every muscle devoted to the achievement of climax. She could hear Grissom uttering something, just catching odd odd word here and there.
"Fuck...mine...delicious fucking...mine...must have...you..."
Sara felt the jolt of his words down though her body from the centre of her and out to the tips of her toes and fingers. She was hovering on the brink as the waves of pleasure pulsed through her in time with Grissom's thrusts. She clutched him to her even harder then gasped as the pressure became too great to hold in and she soared.
"Yes, oh yes! Coming, oh Gil, fucking YES!"
Sara froze as the ecstasy pulsed through her with every push of Grissom's body into hers and she could feel herself contract and grasp him inside, heightening the pleasure even further.
Grissom felt her slick muscles clamp him and he bucked, thrusting harder, faster and deeper as Sara held him, flexing and squeezing him without mercy.
It pushed him over the edge and he went willingly, holding Sara ridged as he cried out shuddering his release until there was nothing left to give.
Grissom collapsed on top of Sara and she delighted in the solid weight of him pressed to her. She hugged him hard, with both her arms and her legs.
Seconds later reality caught up with them as they felt the rain pouring down on them. Grissom lifted his head and looked down at Sara with a grin. Both of them were breathing heavily, the air whooshing in and out of their lungs. Sweat mingled with the rain and Grissom's hair was a riot of unruly curls thanks to Sara's hands and the weather. Neither of them cared.
Sara grinned up at Grissom, feeling like a million dollars. That had been awesome fun.
"Well, fuck me."
"You'll have...to give me...a minute." Grissom wheezed as he withdrew from her.
Sara laughed so much she got hiccups.
They helped each other to their feet and dressed as quickly as possible. Everything was soaked and the previously dry earth was rapidly turning to mud. They packed up the rug, the water and the squashed sandwiches and Sara turned to walk back the way they had come. She wasn't looking forward to a two-hour walk back to the cabin in the rain, but only because of the cold, not the wet. She was already soaked.
Grissom looked at Sara and thought again how lucky he was. There had not been one word of complaint about how wet and cold she was. He couldn't imagine Teri in this situation. He slung the rucksack over one shoulder.
"Hey, Sara!"
Sara paused and looked back at him in askance.
"We go this way. I told you we weren't lost."
He pointed to the trail ahead. Sara obediently turned around and walked back towards him. As she approached he held out his hand. She slipped hers into his and he threaded his fingers through hers. His hand was warm, his touch welcome.
Sara relished this time with Grissom and they fell into step. She looked up at him.
"How long will it take us to get back to the cabin?"
Grissom thought for a moment as they walked around an outcrop of rock and the path turned downwards again.
"Ooh, rough estimate, I'd say about five minutes."
Sara looked around to where Grissom was pointing and her mouth fell open in surprise. She looked back at the trail behind them and forward to the cabin. She looked at Grissom.
"We walked in a large circle."
Grissom smiled at her expression. She didn't know whether to hit him or kiss him.
"You can tell me how grateful you are in the hot tub."
Sara looked ecstatic.
"All this and you have a hot tub too? Where is it?"
"On the side veranda opposite the garage. I took the liberty of switching it on before we left and it should be ready by now."
Sara tugged on his hand and pulled him to get him to move faster.
"C'mon, quit dawdling."
"But I like dawdling. There's nothing like a good dawdle when the company is right."
Sara stopped tugging and looked at him, her head tilted to one side as she did so.
"Is the company right?"
Grissom looked at her and smiled gently.
"Perfect."

"Perfect."
