ch 60

The house was crowded. Sara was running through the house.

“Aaron David Grissom you come here so I can clean you up for your birthday party.”

The child giggled as his mother chased him. He thought it was a game.

“Grissom, how are you doing with Will?”

“Better than you I suspect.”

“Grissom!”

“Do you need a hand?”

“Yes please, he squirms worse than anything I have ever seen.”

Grissom grabbed a hold of the child as Sara cleaned his face and changed his clothes.

“How did you convince me to do this again, Gil? These two are a handful enough.”

Grissom’s hands went to her belly. “You love me.”

“I must. Just think in another three months we will have one more.”

“I know, I can’t wait.”

“I can’t believe that you, Gil Grissom are this excited about having babies.”

“I changed. It is all because of you.” He kissed her. “Are you ready?”

“Well the boys are. The guests are waiting on them.”

They gathered in the living room, there were Christmas decorations everywhere. It was only Boxing Day.

Grissom’s mom was busy preparing the food for the party.

Catherine lovingly stroked her belly. She was due in only a few weeks. She and Warrick unexpectedly ended up pregnant as well. Sara was ecstatic that her children would have a familiar playmate. Lindsay was excited as well.

“Boys, come here and open your presents.” Sara stated to the racing youngsters.

They showed up immediately at the prospect of new toys.

Sara and Grissom passed them to the boys and let them rip them open. Greg snapped pictures for them.

They got some new stuffed toys, some new cars, some Blue’s Clues things and some Dora the Explorer. They were excited and ready for some cake.

“Take mommy, take.” The boys bounced up and down.

Grissom walked towards them with two cakes with one candle each. He sat them down in front of them.

“Blow out the candles and make a wish, boys.”

They blew out the candles and shoved their hands into the cake.

“Don’t worry; we have some for us to eat too.”

The crowd was relieved.

Brass and Mara stood back and admired the spectacle. Their dinner date went well. They went out for New Year’s Eve and had been dating ever since.

All was well with the world.
