Episode 5 : The Proposition

Summary:

While the cameras are rolling, Deep Space Nine runs like any other space station.
When the cameras stop, the crew gives in to their desires, frustrations, and needs.
This is the side of the station you were never meant to see.

Notes:

This is an explicit, very adult reimagining of Deep Space Nine.
Expect high heat, dubious consent, power dynamics, and very little restraint.
If you’re looking for a sweet, canon-friendly story — this is not the fic for you.

Deep Space Nine - The Needs of the Many

Scene 1 – Arrival

The Cardassian warship Gul Marran emerged from the wormhole like a predator slipping out of its den.

It was massive, menacing, and painted in that familiar cold grey. The moment it appeared on sensors, every Bajoran on the station seemed to hold their breath at once.

Kira stood on the Promenade’s upper level, arms crossed tight over her chest, staring out the viewport with pure hatred in her eyes.

Him…” she hissed under her breath.

The airlock hissed open and Gul Dukat stepped onto the station with theatrical flair.

He was tall, broad-shouldered, and wearing a perfectly tailored uniform. His smile was wide and confident, as if he were returning to a place that had dearly missed him.

Sisko was waiting for him with a small reception party. Dax stood just behind him, hands clasped behind her back. Kira stood slightly apart from the group, her jaw locked so tightly it looked painful.

“Commander Sisko!” Dukat called out warmly, spreading his arms. “What a pleasure to see you. And on my station, no less.”

“It’s not your station anymore, Dukat,” Sisko replied, voice flat.

Dukat chuckled, clearly amused. His eyes slowly scanned the group — and then they landed on Dax.

For a moment, his polished smile faltered. His gaze moved over her body with open, shameless appreciation. He took two slow steps toward her.

“And who… is this vision?” he asked, his voice dropping into something much smoother.

Sisko’s tone sharpened. “Lieutenant Jadzia Dax, our Chief Science Officer.”

Dukat’s eyes lingered on her far too long before he finally spoke.

“Dax…” he repeated, tasting the name. “I must say… it is a rare pleasure to see the Dax symbiont in such a beautiful new host.” He smiled, slow and predatory. “Curzon and I had a very… special relationship during the Occupation. We understood each other in ways few others did.”

He said it while looking straight at Dax, but the words were clearly meant for the entire table — especially Sisko.

Kira looked like she was two seconds away from drawing her phaser.

Dukat finally released Dax’s hand, but his eyes stayed locked on her as he spoke to Sisko.

“I look forward to our talks, Commander. There is much to discuss about the wormhole… and other matters.”

His gaze flicked back to Dax one last time, a smile spreading across his face.

“Especially now that such delightful company is present.”

Scene 2 – The Meeting

The wardroom felt like a powder keg.

Gul Dukat sat at the table like he still owned it, legs casually crossed, a smug smile playing on his lips. Sisko sat opposite him, stone-faced. Kira was on Sisko’s right, rigid with barely contained fury.

Dukat’s eyes slid over to Kira first.

“My dear Major Kira,” he purred, looking her up and down. “I must compliment you on your new uniform. It suits you far better than those old dreary Bajoran rags you used to wear. You almost look… civilized.”

Kira’s eyes flashed with pure hatred.

Before she could snap back, Dukat’s gaze moved smoothly to Dax, who was sitting beside Sisko.

“And Lieutenant Dax…” His voice became noticeably warmer. “The stories about your beauty don’t do you justice. I see Curzon’s excellent taste has only improved with this new host. Tell me — do you still enjoy long, intimate conversations late into the night?”

That was it.

Kira slammed her hands on the table and shot to her feet.

“You disgusting paltrok!” she snarled. “You dare walk onto this station and start leering at her like some cheap—”

“Major!” Sisko’s voice cracked like a whip.

Kira froze mid-sentence, breathing hard, fists clenched so tight her knuckles were white.

Sisko’s tone was low but firm. “That’s enough. Sit down.”

For a second it looked like Kira might refuse. Her eyes were locked on Dukat with murderous intent.

Dukat, on the other hand, was visibly delighted. He leaned back in his chair, a wide, satisfied grin spreading across his face as he watched Kira struggle to control herself.

“Oh, I’ve missed this,” he chuckled. “That Bajoran fire… it’s so rare to see it contained. Commander Sisko, you have your hands full with this one.”

Sisko gave Kira one final hard look. She slowly lowered herself back into her chair, jaw locked, radiating fury.

Dukat’s eyes flicked back to Dax again, completely ignoring Kira now.

“I look forward to continuing our conversation in private, Lieutenant,” he said smoothly. “There are many things I wish to… discuss with you.”

The meeting continued, but the atmosphere had become suffocating.

Scene 3 – The Private Meeting

It was late.

The chime to Dax’s quarters sounded softly.

When the doors opened, Gul Dukat stood there alone, no aides, no entourage — just him, wearing a fitted black tunic that made him look more like a predator than a diplomat.

“Lieutenant,” he said with a charming smile. “I was hoping we could speak privately. There are certain… delicate matters I’d like to discuss with you.”

Dax studied him for a long moment, then stepped aside.

As soon as the doors closed behind him, Dukat’s pleasant expression changed. The charm remained, but something much darker sat underneath it.

He didn’t waste time.

“I’m going to be direct with you,” he said, pulling a small isolinear rod from his pocket. “During the Occupation, Curzon had a lover. A Cardassian woman. Married. Very well connected.”

He activated the rod. A holographic image appeared — clearly showing Curzon Dax passionately kissing a beautiful Cardassian woman.

“Her name is Laira,” Dukat continued. “Wife of Legate Korven. If this recording were made public… her life would be completely destroyed. Her husband would have her executed for treason. Her children would be ruined.”

Dax’s face remained perfectly still, but her hands had closed into tight fists at her sides.

Dukat stepped closer, his voice dropping to a silky whisper.

“I’m not a cruel man, Jadzia. I’ll give you the only copy of this recording… if you spend one night with me.”

He smiled, looking almost proud of his own generosity.

“One night. You give yourself to me completely, enthusiastically… and this recording disappears forever. No one ever has to know about Curzon’s little indiscretion.”

Dax stared at the isolinear rod, then back up at Dukat’s face.

She was quiet for a long time.

Then, in a low, steady voice, she answered:

“…Fine.”

Dukat’s smile widened, slow and victorious.

“I knew you’d make the right choice.”

Scene 4 – The Deal

Dukat stepped even closer, clearly pleased with her answer.

“I must admit,” he said, his voice smooth and satisfied, “I expected more resistance. You’re far more reasonable than your previous host.”

Dax kept her face carefully blank. “Let’s not waste time with compliments. You have what I want. I have what you want. Let’s get this over with.”

Dukat chuckled, clearly amused by her bluntness.

“So impatient,” he purred. “But I suppose that’s part of your charm.”

He held up the isolinear rod between them.

“This is the only existing copy. Once our night is over, it is yours. You have my word.”

Dax’s eyes narrowed. “Your word doesn’t mean much to me.”

“Perhaps not,” Dukat admitted with a shrug. “But I am a man of certain… tastes. And right now, my taste is entirely focused on you. I have no reason to lie.”

He reached out and slowly ran a finger along her jawline. Dax didn’t flinch, but her eyes were cold.

“Tonight,” he said, his voice dropping. “My quarters on the ship. I want you there at 2100 hours. Wear something… pleasing. And Jadzia?”

He leaned in close, lips almost brushing her ear.

“Don’t disappoint me. I expect you to be very… enthusiastic.”

Dax pulled back slightly, her voice flat.

“I’ll be there.”

Dukat smiled, clearly delighted.

“Excellent. I look forward to it. Very much.”

He turned to leave, but paused at the door, looking back at her one last time.

“Oh, and one more thing…”

His smile turned darker, more possessive.

“Try not to think about Sisko while I’m fucking you. I’d hate to share your mind with him tonight.”

With that, he walked out, leaving Dax standing alone in her quarters.

She stood perfectly still for almost a minute after the doors closed.

Then her shoulders slowly sagged. She walked over to the couch and sat down heavily, staring at the floor with hollow eyes.

Scene 5 – The Night

Dukat’s private quarters on the Cardassian warship were dimly lit and oppressively luxurious.

He was already waiting when Dax arrived, wearing nothing but a long, open black robe that showed off his muscular chest and the ridges along his torso.

The moment the doors closed behind her, his eyes raked over her body with blatant hunger.

“You kept your word,” he said, voice thick with satisfaction. “Good girl.”

Dax stood still as he approached. He circled her slowly, like a predator admiring its prey.

“Undress,” he commanded softly. “I want to see everything.”

Dax obeyed. She peeled off her clothes piece by piece until she stood completely naked before him. Dukat’s eyes darkened with lust.

“Magnificent,” he breathed.

He wasted no time.

Dukat grabbed her by the waist and pulled her against him, kissing her roughly. His hands were everywhere — groping her breasts, squeezing her ass, sliding between her legs. He broke the kiss just long enough to growl against her mouth:

“I’m going to show you what a real man feels like.”

He pushed her down onto his large bed and climbed on top of her. There was nothing gentle about him. He spread her thighs wide and thrust into her in one hard stroke, burying himself to the hilt.

Dax gasped sharply.

Dukat groaned in pleasure, his hips already moving with powerful, deep strokes.

“Mmm,…” he moaned, clearly enjoying himself. “That’s it…”

He fucked her with arrogant confidence, his pace steady and relentless. His stamina was impressive — he didn’t slow down, didn’t tire. He kept pounding into her, changing angles, driving deeper, clearly determined to impress her.

“Look at you,” he panted, sweat already glistening on his ridges. “Taking Cardassian cock so well. I knew you’d love this.”

He grabbed her legs and pushed them back toward her shoulders, folding her in half as he drove even harder.

“Feel that?” he growled, breathing heavily. “No human could ever fuck you like this. Sisko could never give you what I’m giving you right now.”

Dax’s body rocked with every brutal thrust, her breasts bouncing as he slammed into her again and again.

Dukat wasn’t satisfied with just one position.

He flipped her onto her hands and knees, grabbed her hair, and took her from behind like an animal. The sound of skin slapping against skin filled the room.

“Yes… fuck, yes!” he groaned loudly. “You’re mine tonight, Dax.”

He lasted far longer than most men could. He took her in multiple positions — on her back, on her side, riding him, bent over the edge of the bed — always talking, always bragging about his endurance.

“I can keep going for hours,” he panted, sweat dripping down his chest as he thrust into her again. “Most men would’ve cum already… but not me. I’m going to ruin you for anyone else.”

When he finally came, it was with a loud, triumphant roar. He buried himself deep inside her and filled her with thick, hot spurts, his body shaking with pleasure.

But even then, he wasn’t done.

He gave her less than five minutes to catch her breath before he was hard again and climbing back on top of her.

“Round two,” he smirked, clearly proud of himself. “I told you I had stamina.”

He fucked her two more times that night — long, hard, and relentlessly — each time making sure to tell her how good she felt, how much better he was than anyone else, and how she would never forget this night.

By the time he was finally finished, Dax was exhausted, sore, and covered in his sweat and cum.

Dukat collapsed beside her, breathing heavily but smiling like a conqueror.

“You were magnificent,” he said, clearly pleased with himself. “I knew you’d enjoy me.”

Scene 6 – The Morning After

The next morning, Dukat’s quarters were quiet except for the low noise of the ship’s engines.

Dukat lay on his back, completely naked, looking extremely pleased with himself. Dax sat on the edge of the bed, slowly pulling her clothes back on. Her movements were mechanical, almost numb.

Dukat stretched lazily, then reached over to the bedside table. He picked up the isolinear rod and held it out to her.

“As promised,” he said with a smug smile. “The only copy. You’ve earned it.”

Dax took the rod from his hand without looking at him.

Dukat watched her dress, his eyes still hungry.

“You know… you don’t have to leave so soon,” he said, his voice dripping with arrogance. “I could have you again before I depart. I still have plenty of stamina left.”

Dax didn’t answer. She finished dressing in silence and headed for the door.

Dukat’s voice followed her.

“Anytime you want more, Lieutenant… you know where to find me. I’d be happy to give you another demonstration.”

The doors closed behind her.

* * *

Two hours later, Dukat’s warship undocked and disappeared into the wormhole.

Kira had been looking for Dax for almost an hour.

She finally found her in her own quarters, sitting on the floor in the corner with her back against the wall. The lights were off. Dax was still wearing the same clothes from the night before, knees pulled up to her chest, arms wrapped tightly around them.

She was crying.

Quiet, steady tears rolling down her face. She didn’t even look up when Kira walked in.

Kira froze in the doorway.

“Dax…?”

Dax didn’t respond. She just kept staring at the floor, silent tears falling.

Kira slowly walked over and crouched down in front of her. Her voice was unusually soft.

“Hey… talk to me. What happened?”

Dax finally looked up. Her eyes were red and hollow.

She opened her hand. The isolinear rod sat in her palm.

Kira’s face changed the moment she realized what it meant.

Her voice dropped to a whisper.

“Dax… what did you do?”

Dax’s lip trembled. A fresh tear slipped down her cheek as she finally spoke, her voice barely audible:

“I had to… for her.”

She broke down completely, burying her face in her arms as the tears came harder.

Kira didn’t hesitate. She pulled Dax into her arms, holding her tightly as the Trill sobbed against her shoulder.
