Summary: Move over Roswell. What if Kyle XY woke up in Kansas and was found by a real alien?

Chapter Five

Clark ran all the way to school and hid himself away in the boy’s restroom. He locked himself in the back stall and took a seat on the shiny porcelain throne. What the hell was he going to do? His parent’s were going to ask questions, and he was too afraid to answer them. He couldn’t tell them what his wish was. It would cause his dad to have a heart attack, and his mom would…well, he wasn’t sure what she would do…but it wouldn’t be good…that’s for damn sure.

He is an alien and Kyle is a star. Kyle is a star, and not just any star. He is a wishing star. He even twinkled like one with soft silver and ivory light. And the scary part is that Kyle knew his secret wish.

He moaned and banged his head against the stall wall. Oh, why did he have to go and kick that stupid ball so damn hard?

“Damn man,” a voice from the stall next to his said in disgust, “Have you ever heard of laxatives?”

Clark’s jaw dropped open in horror and he ran the hell out of there as normally as possible.

“Son of a bitch,” the guy yelled when he heard the restroom door slam, “You get your ass back here and flush!”

Clark ran into the Torch and thanked his “lucky star” that no one was there. He could be all alone with his crazy thoughts now. He closed the door and went to his desk, so he could lay down his head.

Kyle had said that he was not allowed to reveal his wish, so that was good. He could easily lie and make a wish up to tell his parents. He could tell them that he wished for…something he could not think of at the moment.

“Why the hell is it so damn easy to lie when you don’t want too,” Clark raged and ranted aloud, “Than it is to lie when you want to?”

“Good question,” a voice answered from behind him and he spun around in his chair.

“Chloe,” he gasped and scratched his head, “How long have you been there?”

“Long enough,” she smiled and winked at him, “Talking to your self is the first sign of madness, Clark.”

“I’m way past the first sign, Chloe,” he said and turned back around so that his back was to her, “I don’t know how to tell my parents.”

“Tell them what,” she asked and then caught herself, “Ah.”

She closed the door so they could have privacy for this little chat.

“I don’t know how to tell them,” Clark told her with a sigh and got up to go look out the window, “I’m afraid…I’m afraid they wont love me anymore.

He tensed when he felt her arms entwine themselves around his narrow waist from behind to hold him close, “They’re your parents, Clark.”

“I know,” he whispered as she gave him a tight squeeze, “But, I’ve read so many terrible things about kids coming out to their parents.”

“Bad things do happen too many,” she said with a sad smile and let him go so that she could stand beside him in the warm sunlight, “But your parent’s love you. They would never just toss you aside, Clark.”

He turned to look at her.

“Besides,” she smiled, “You have Pete and myself…and I love you very much.”

That made him smile, “Thanks, Chloe.”

“Free of charge,” she said and playfully pinched him, “Now, get to work.”

“Hey,” Clark said, “I need to tell you something.”

She was all ears.

“But first,” he said picking up his books, “I have to get to class.”

“Welcome to Metropolis, Miss,” a young man smiled charmingly and could not help but stare at her seductive yet glacial beauty, “How may I help you?”

“A car,” the witch queen smiled with dazzling pearly whites that were straight and perfect.

“We have all kinds,” the young man said and her molten amber orbs just kept sucking him in, “Which would you like?”

“That’s easy,” she giggled like silver bells, “The fastest, of course.”

Jonathan and Martha were out working in the apple orchard and Kyle decided that he was going to go for a walk. The Kent’s had told him not to stray too far. They told him not to go out of sight of the house.

He walked through the warm grass and loved the way it felt under his bare feet. The warm rays of the sun were shining down on him and his luminous skin sparkled with silver dust.

He suddenly yawned and began to feel really sleepy. It was his time to set.

He turned around to see that the house was too far away. That was when he saw a tree in the near distance.

Kyle made his way to it and plopped down in the shade that its sheltering arms provided. He rested his back against the broad trunk and closed his aqua orbs.

He remembered holding Clark in his arms during the long night. He could still feel Clark’s warmth, and could still smell his sweet scent. It was filling him with a longing for Clark’s body to be next to his. He wanted Clark right here with him under this tree. It was too bad that wishing stars could not grant themselves wishes. He would wish Clark right here and now beside him in an instant.

He turned his head to the side, and he began to glitter silver and ivory as sleep took him from the waking world.

“A what,” Chloe asked and immediately put the back of her hand to Clark’s smooth forehead to see if he was running a temperature, “Are you sure your mom did not put something “special” in these apple pies?”

“You said it yourself when I said that he twinkled,” Clark said and then quoted her, “Like a star.”

“I was just being my silly sarcastic self,” she said and removed her hand, “Stars are big balls of gas in space, Clark. They are not…peoples.”

“He said so himself,” Clark said, “And he glows just like one whenever he smiles.”

“He could just be confused,” she said and turned away from him to look at a bird digging up a worm in the grass, “He’s obviously meteor infected.”

“I don’t think so,” Clark said and leaned back against the tree trunk they were eating lunch under, “He said that he was a wishing star.”

“Really not helping your case here, Clark,” she said and turned to give him the infamous cocked brow.

“He knew my wish, Chloe,” he said, “How do you explain that?”

“So, he can read minds,” she said, “It’s possible.”

“And this isn’t,” he asked.

“We have astronomy, Clark,” she said and pointed up at the sky, “Stars are not people just floating around in the darkness of space.”

“He can hold fire in the palm of his hand,” Clark said, “And…I forgot to mention that he fell out of the sky in a blazing, silver light that almost blinded me.”

That stopped her cold and she cocked her head to the side. Why was she looking at him like that?

“Yeah,” she said, “That is a very important detail, Clark.”

“I’m sorry,” he said and suddenly felt that this had been a bad idea.

“Its okay,” she said, “You were probably in shock.”

“He’s a star, Chloe,” he said.

“I would come more believing that he is an alien, Clark,” she said with a smile, “Than a big ball of burning gas.”

“You can’t tell anyone,” Clark said.

“Of course not,” she said with an eye roll, “Alien hunters would swarm your farm like a plague of locust.”

“He is not an alien,” Clark said and glared at her, “He is a star.”

“All right,” Chloe said waving her hands in front of her face in defense, “I’ll take your word for it.”

“I don’t like alien,” Clark said, “It sounds so derogatory.”

Chloe just looked at him, “Clark?”

“What,” he said and began to clean up their lunch, “It does.”

She smiled, “I’m coming home with you after school.”

He looked up at her, “Okay.”

“So,” she said and scooted right into his personal space which made him a little nervous, “What was this wish?”

The eldest witch queen was going zoom-zoom down the highway in her solid black Lamborghini with the stereo blasting. The warm wind was blowing through her long rose red hair as she sped around slower moving automobiles.

She was having more fun in this world than she could have possibly imagined. Everything was a thrill, and the pretty shiny was so fast. There was no need for a transportation spell, when all she had to do was push her heeled foot down on this little thing called an accelerator.

She threw her head back and howled with laughter as she zoomed around more cars that were just going too damn slow. That was when she gazed over at the map in the seat next to her and frowned. She had passed up her exit.

The witch queen gave the wheel a quick jerk to the left and made a glorious u-turn that would put The Fast and the Furious to shame. She cackled with laughter as people ran off the road and into each other as she made her exit. Nothing was going to stop her from getting to that star as soon as possible. She could taste his heart on the tip of her tongue.

What was that sound? What did those flashing blue lights mean?
