“Come on I’ll pick us up some lunch and then go back home,” Jay said walking them out to the car and she stopped in her tracks.

Emma and Jay were watching the movie they had picked up and Jack was fast asleep in his crib. “Thank you for being here,” Emma replied looking up at him.

“No I mean I am sure you want to get back to Alex,” Emma began. “Why don’t you go take her out I mean I’ll be fine here,” she said in a firm voice.

“Then let’s get back to watching the movie,” Jay said sitting down and she curled up next to him. They fell asleep next to each other on the couch during the movie.

Emma had been staying with Jay for the last three days along with her brother. She guessed her mother wasn’t worried too much because there were no calls. She was at the table with her brother waiting for Jay to get back with breakfast from the DOT. Her cell phone started to ring and she reached to pick it up. “Hello,” she said into the phone.

“Ms. Nelson,” a voice said on the other end. “This is Dr. Brown,” he replied.

“Yes Dr. Brown,” Emma said feeling her stomach tighten in knots.

“I just got your test results back,” Dr. Brown replied. “They all came back negative you are perfectly clean,” he said smiling.

“Thank you,” Emma said hanging up the phone and smiled at her brother. “Your sister’s okay,” she said smiling and he just laughed a little.

“I’m back,” Jay said coming into the house with the food. He set them down onto the table and she stood up in front of him. “What?” He asked.

“I’m clean the doctor just called,” Emma said with a huge smile on her face.

“That’s great,” Jay said picking her up and spinning her around.

“I have to go to work tonight,” Emma replied causing him to set her down.

“I never do,” Jay said looking over at the girl he loved. “You need a ride the clinic,” he said causing her to nod her head.

“I do,” Spike said softly.

“Then come on mom,” Emma said grabbing onto her hand. “Then we’ll take Baby Jack over to Caitlin,” she wiping her tears away.

“Let’s go,” Jay said grabbing his keys. After dropping off her mother at the clinic they went over to Caitlin’s house to drop of Jack.

“Hey,” Caitlin said hugging her close. “I heard,” she said.
