Chapter 6
Green
Flora Winters
I do not own Smallville.
Summary: Something bad is going down in the small town of Smallville and it’s all Lex’s fault. He has always been too curious for his own good. If only he had not tripped and fallen that day while snooping around the Kent farm when the elder Kent’s were out of town and Clark was at school.
Chapter 6
Clark was really having a hard time explaining to his parents what had taken place at Lex’s. Jonathan had gone off on how he had never seen such a mess in one room in all his life. How the hell were they going to explain this to Lex when he wakes up, not to mention how to explain who the hell that spinal cord belonged to.
Chloe seemed to be taking it all in rather well. After living in Smallville one learns not to be skeptical of anything.
Jonathan and Martha being somewhat Christian were really having a hard time taking in that this ‘Kryptonia’ was in fact a deity, but, then again, the bible never spoke of aliens from other planets either. Jonathan was seriously thinking about becoming an atheist or a polytheist. Martha had too him gently by the hand and told him that she would just write them down and he could draw his religion out of a hat.
That had made them all laugh which lightened the ominous mood that had settled over the farm. Lex was in the living room snoozing on the couch, and Chloe was at awe when Clark told her about his powers. She knew that he was strong and all, but an alien. She had thought he was just some kind of special meteor freak that had yet to go crazy and kill a bunch of people. She thought that this was the coolest thing ever. A real life superhero zipping around saving the town form random disasters that seemed to strike at least once a week according to her statistics.

Lex, on the other hand, seemed to be trapped in his head. He knew the express way out but for some odd reason he could not get the damned door to open. He had the keycard and security code but the damn thing would not work. Maybe there was a short in the system somewhere, and that made him laugh. This was his own damn mind and yet he couldn’t do a damn thing to get out of it.
He now knew all about Clark’s powers and he had even seen what she had done to his father. The scary part is, is that he was actually rooting for the green bitch to do it and she obliged. He was really going to have to have a long talk with Clark once he figures out how to wake the fuck up.
“How dare he keep such secrets,” he roared, “I’m his friend aren’t I?
“No need to shout,” a silky feminine voice said, “We’ve got such a splitting headache.”
“Let me out of here,” he bellowed, “I need to have a serious talk with that insufferable farmboy!”
Kryptonia laughed, “Then wake up you silly little fool, it is your mind after all,” she told him and then asked, “Or is it?”
Lex glared at the glowing green Goddess, “What’s that suppose to mean?”
“You are our vessel Lex Luthor,” she said matter of fact, “You will aide us in reestablishing our world.”
“Are you fucking crazy,” he yelled, “Get the fuck out of my head!”
Suddenly he looked up to see her regal frame looming over and he looked around to see that he was now standing in the palm of her mighty hand, “Obey us Lex Luthor,” she demanded, “Or we might have some fun with your farmboy.”
Lex glared up at her, “Don’t you dare touch him you cow!”
The Goddess blinked, “What?”
Lex rolled his eyes, “Never mind,” he said, “Let’s say I do help you. What do I get out of it?”
“The pleasure of serving us of course,” she said softy, “What other reward could be greater?”
He thought it would be best not to taunt the Goddess seeing as how she could easily squish him and all, “Ok,” he said, “If I do what you want will you leave Clark and his loved ones alone?”
Kryptonia laughed and her breath smelled as sweet as any rose and yet it scorched like the very surface of a mighty sun, “You are in no position to make such demands of us little vessel,” she boomed and then thought, “But, if you serve us well we shall do what you have asked of us.”
Lex nodded his head at that, “I have your word then?”
She moved her hand slightly and he fell to his knees, “For now,” she said.
Lex slowly got back to his feet. Lex Luthor bowed to no one, not even an egocentric deity, “What do you want me to do?”
Her perfect lips formed a perfect smile, “We want you to gather up all the remnants of our planet without it becoming knowledge to your farmboy.”
“Are you fucking mad,” he roared, “Finding every little piece of meteor rock would take years!”
Kryptonia pursed her lips, “Then we suggest you get started as soon as possible.”
Lex was about to say no deal but then he remembered how she had thrown Clark around as if he was a rag doll. Even though it did not hurt him it still scared the hell out of him. At first he thought she had killed him just as easily as she had his father. He had been pissed as hell and started to fight for control of his body but in the end she had won out. Even though her power was astronomically diminished she was still a God.
Suddenly his surrounding changed from the darkness of space to glowing green crystals all around him overlooking a vast frozen ocean. The very waves were frozen solid and snow was falling all around him.
Kryptonia stood beside him, “Beautiful,” she said, “Isn’t it Lex Luthor?”
His eyes were dazzled at the frozen beauty, “Yes.”
He looked around at the colors he could not even begin to describe and they seemed to clothe her. This had once been the wondrous home of his beloved farmboy.
He watched Kryptonia glide gracefully across the court to sit in on a green throne that formed around her. He really looked at her and saw that she was sad and then those crystal green tears were replaced with harsh bitterness, “Do our bidding Lex Luthor and we shall bring no harm to those you and your precious farmboy hold dear.”
Lex took a tiny risk and asked, “Why do you cry, Kryptonia?”
Green lightning escaped the corners of her emerald eyes and her green hair coiled around her as a bitter wind blew him on his back, “That is not your concern Lex Luthor,” she said as cold as the frozen wasteland around them, “Now go!”

Chloe was about to slap Clark cross eyed when they all heard a strangled voice cry out, “Clark!”
In a flash Clark jumped to his bare feet and ran to the living room to see Lex trying to sit up and couldn’t because his limbs would not cooperate. Clark helped him up and Lex quickly hugged him, “Oh my god Clark, I thought she had killed you!”
Jonathan and Martha looked at each other as Jonathan moaned sarcastically, “Oh goody, he remembers everything,” and then yelped when she pinched his shoulder and went to fix Lex a cup of tea. After all, it’s not everyday a citizen of Smallville gets possessed by a God, well done.
Clark knew that if he had been human he would be gasping for breath right now because Lex was squeezing his neck very tightly. He slowly wrapped his arms around the smaller man, “I’m ok Lex,” he said, “See.”
Lex let out a sob and released and then promptly slapped Clark across the face which only resulted in hurting his hand. Clark quickly took it in his, “Are you ok?”
“I just slapped you Clark,” Lex pointed out.
“Yeah,” Clark said with those damn puppy dog eyes, “I know.”
“That means I’m pissed at you,” Lex told him.
“I kind of got that,” Clark said while rubbing his hand, “I was just concerned that you might have hurt your hand.”
“Did you even feel that at all,” Lex said getting hot from having Clark so close to him and rubbing his hand so tenderly, lovingly.
“Not physically,” Clark said sadly.
Lex’s face fell, “I’m sorry.”
Clark turned that frown upside down and gave him his ultra megawatt smile, “I’m just so glad that you’re ok,” he said giving him another big hug.
Chloe could not help herself, “By the gods superman, get a room.”
Jonathan coughed and both boys broke apart from fear that they had let on to each other about their feelings for each other and that would just be really bad, because each thought that the other was straight and that would just not be healthy for their friendship. Plus, they really did not want to make Jonathan suspicious about anything.
All heads turned when Martha asked from the hall, “Tea?”
