Always Better Together
“Ahhhh,” Sportacus breathed, rubbing his head with a towel. He felt much better now that he was all cleaned up. It had helped to brush that residual cheese flavor out of his mouth too.
“That took you forever,” Robbie complained from his seat on the edge of the bed. Sportacus gave him an exasperated look.
“It took me ten minutes and twenty-eight seconds,” he countered.
“Wha… did you time yourself or something?”
Sportacus glanced guiltily at the wall panel with the screen that showed all of his records. It was blinking 10:28, and underneath in small print was “shower”.
“… you need new hobbies.” Robbie commented. Sportacus rolled his eyes.
“And you need to eat healthier.”
“That’s beside the point,” Robbie huffed. “I don’t think you could wash the smell of sports equipment off of you if you spent an hour in there. You reeked of it before.” Sportacus raised an eyebrow at this. He knew for a fact he didn’t smell that bad. He walked over to Robbie.
“What are you doing getting so close without clothes on?!” Robbie yelped, scooting away, yet with his eyes firmly glued on the area that Sportacus hoped was his abs, as he still had a towel wrapped around his waist.
“Getting your scent-master seal of approval,” he said sarcastically, holding an arm out.
“I’m not sniffing your arm, you crazy elf.”
“Oh? Then how am I supposed to know if I need to wash more?”
Robbie paused at this. He couldn’t think of a snappy comeback to that. Sportacus grinned at him.
“You know,” he said, rocking back and forth on his heels slightly, before sitting down next to Robbie. “You could probably use a shower too.” Robbie looked at him suspiciously.
“You said I smelled like coconut and lime.”
“Yes, but that ladder climb up here seemed pretty strenuous for you. Maybe you’re all sweaty now,” he leaned towards Robbie until he was so close he could feel the heat radiating off of the man. He sniffed a little, grinning. It was too fun to tease Robbie. Maybe he could make a new sort of sport out of it.
“Nope,” he confirmed and leaned back. “Still sports candy scented.”
And Robbie would have had some sort of response to that, had he not been blushing so hard and trying to control himself.
The damn elf smelled like herbs. A forest. And underlying that was a musky male scent that just enhanced it.
All in all, Robbie thought he might just jump the man right there, but the lack of feeling in his limbs prevented him from doing much of anything. Sportacus smiled at him cheekily.
“So, how do I smell now?”
Robbie was wide-eyed and still blushing. He swallowed thickly and looked away.
“Unbelievably sexy,” he muttered.
Sportacus felt his mind grind to a complete and abrupt halt.
“U-uh?”
“Like a damn forest somewhere, with fresh air and pine trees and all that other junk, alright?” Robbie snapped, unsettled. Sportacus blinked slowly.
“You… you think that’s… sexy?” he nearly whispered the last word. Robbie’s blush renewed itself, and he refused to look at Sportacus. That was a yes.
Sportacus slowly came out of the daze when he felt something warm go through his body, like having a hot shower, only internally as well as externally. He felt his face heat up, and he shifted closer to Robbie. The taller man didn’t move. He licked his lips nervously, before stretching up slightly and planting a kiss on the man’s ear. He settled back in place and kicked his leg back and forth, looking at the floor. He wasn’t sure he was supposed to be doing this. Maybe Robbie didn’t want to play this game. He kicked his leg faster, agitated. Robbie probably didn’t like him back that much. Not as much as Sportacus liked him, anyway. So, he should probably stop pushing him and being so affectionate like that, it was probably just making Robbie upset-
“Would you stop that!” Robbie growled, and pushed Sportacus’ kicking leg to get it to stop. Sportacus blushed, feeling far too keenly exactly where Robbie’s hand was on his thigh. He looked up at the man with an apology already in his eyes, and started to speak…
Robbie silenced him with a deep kiss.
Sportacus shivered and responded, reaching up to wrap his arms around the man’s shoulders and bring him closer. Robbie pulled back slightly, breaking the kiss slowly.
“Y-yes, it’s sexy,” Robbie panted. Sportacus tried to concentrate. It felt like he was on fire. Robbie shivered briefly. “That… it’s too sexy. Like someone dipped you in a vat of wild masculinity. You smell like you just jumped out of the woods, as is.” He shivered again, treading dangerously close to the brink of no return. “It’s… I love it.”
Sportacus thought he might black out. It felt like all the blood in his body was rushing to his head. It was too good. But Robbie was waiting, he had to think, had to say something…
“W-well…” he started, his brain still only half functional, though quickly recovering from the shock. “If I smell like a wild forest-man, you… you smell so good I could eat you.”
Robbie’s eyes got wider, and for a moment Sportacus worried he might have said the wrong thing. He worried, that is, until Robbie grinned and abruptly pushed him down onto the bed, covering his mouth with his own. Sportacus groaned against his will, his eyes fluttering closed. He could get addicted to those kisses… Robbie’s mouth left his, and he opened his eyes for a moment to see if Robbie had stopped.
His eyes shut again and he bit back another sound as Robbie’s mouth started to work his neck. Trailing light butterfly kisses ran down both sides of his neck and made him shiver. Robbie’s hands were tracing his abs, and as they started to trace the lower muscles, Sportacus felt his body react without his permission, and his hips ground into empty air. The motion jolted Sportacus back into his senses and he froze. He knew that feeling.
“N-no, Robbie, stop!”
He did, looking at Sportacus curiously and half full of apprehension.
“Why?” he asked bluntly. Sportacus fidgeted.
“I… um… it’s embarrassing…” he muttered, not looking at Robbie. He felt less like a hero than he ever had at that moment. Heroes didn’t have to deal with… those kinds of things, right?
“It can’t be more embarrassing than crying in public,” Robbie pointed out. Sportacus shook his head.
“More.”
Robbie raised an eyebrow at him, mildly frustrated.
“Spit it out already. Are you afraid of something?”
Sportacus thought for a moment… he supposed that was right. He nodded, and Robbie sighed and leaned back, sitting straddling the man’s legs.
“Look,” he said. “I’ll make you a deal. You tell me what it is, and I’ll… I’ll sleep in a bed and eat some more of that… coconut stuff, since it’s… healthy.”
Sportacus regarded him with wide eyes. He’d really do that?… But still. This was mortifying. He wasn’t sure… But then again, making Robbie follow through on his promise sounded too good to pass up… He nodded shakily.
“Okay,” he said quietly. Robbie visibly suppressed a smug look, and nodded at him to go on. Sportacus fidgeted and looked at a wall.
“Well,” he started. “If… I mean, if you had kept going, I would have… it, it would be embarrassing, but I couldn’t help it, y-you did taste good, and… and what you were doing, it…” he trailed off, blushing and too unsettled to continue. He glanced back at Robbie to see the man studying him with his head tilted slightly.
“W-what?” he finally said, mildly irritated. It felt like he was being examined again. Robbie closed his eyes and sighed.
“Just how innocent can you get, Sportakook?”
“Huh?” Robbie looked frustrated.
“For the love of…” Robbie rubbed at his temples with one hand. “You said you trusted me.”
“I do, it’s just… I mean, I don’t think I can trust myself…”
Robbie stared hard at him, and trailed his fingertips across the lower part of Sportacus’ stomach. Sportacus gasped quietly and his hips bucked of their own volition. He blushed furiously.
“You see?!” he said. Robbie was looking at him odd again.
“I want you to do that,” he replied. It threw Sportacus off.
“What?”
“If you do that, I don’t care. I want it to happen. Understand, or should I make myself clear by means of flipping around the place, as that seems to be your primary form of communication?”
Sportacus bit his lip to keep from arguing. He focused on the content around the insult.
“You… want me to do that?” Robbie nodded. “But…” Robbie placed a finger over his mouth, silencing him.
“You trust me?” Sportacus nodded. “Then just do what feels good, okay?”
And with that, Robbie leaned over him and started over, kissing him on the lips first, then trailing down to the neck, while his fingers worked on the man’s stomach. Sportacus had his eyes closed, and when Robbie’s lips started worshipping his abs, his back arched and he groaned slightly. It was… it made him feel nervous, but it felt good too. So he tried to follow Robbie’s advice, and trust him. He licked his lips, then gasped as Robbie’s hands lay on the inner part of his thigh. It felt…
“R-Robbie…”
“Shh.”
“It… Robbie…”
Robbie ignored him that time, and Sportacus felt the towel that had been wrapped around his waist removed. He tensed, and kept his eyes closed out of nervousness.
When he felt the light touch, he gasped and his eyes snapped open.
“R-Robbie!”
“Do you want me to stop?”
Sportacus paused, and shook his head. His eyes fluttered closed again when the light touch moved, and a half-swallowed moan escaped his lips. After a minute, he had to bite his lip to keep from making noise. Robbie leaned down and captured his lips again, while still moving his hand. Sportacus arched into the man above him, feeling mildly disappointed that his bare skin met with clothing, but dismissing it a moment later. He broke the kiss, breathing hard.
“R-Robbie… please…” His hips were grinding, and Robbie’s mouth on his neck was too much, there was a tension…
He moaned loudly, his back arching up. Robbie breathed against his skin as he waited for the blue elf, and after a minute, Sportacus regained his breath.
“W-wow…” he finally murmured. His eyelids felt heavy. It had to be at least ten at night by now. Way past his usual bedtime, and after… that… he felt like he had just gotten done with a really good workout. He could feel all the muscles in his body relaxing.
Robbie watched as he gradually fell asleep, feeling mildly annoyed. He tried to push the feeling away.
‘It’s… repayment, for the whole thing with lunch. I’m not going to wake him up.’ he thought.
And besides, it was interesting to watch the man look so peaceful and quiet and still.
“That took you forever,” Robbie complained from his seat on the edge of the bed. Sportacus gave him an exasperated look.
“It took me ten minutes and twenty-eight seconds,” he countered.
