On The Way To Heaven

It was night time. Yvette was getting dressed while Spinner mingled with her parents.

She slipped into a green Abercrombie tube top and put on peacock feather earings. She pulled up a jean mini skirt and white knit sweater on top. She looked at herself for about two seconds and then left the room to downstairs.

Yvettes mom stood up quickly.

Mom- Oh.... hunny you look nice...
Yvette- Mom...

She slipped on her flip flops

Yvette- Ready
Spinner- Great
Yvette- Bye Mumma... Puppa
Both- Bye...

They walked out

Spinner- Why are they looking at you like you'll drop dead any moment...?
Yvette- ... No clue... guess it just the whole "little girl growing up" bit...

They walked into Ashley's house where the place had seemed to fit in almost everyone in the school. Ashley greeted them.

Ash- HEY! Im glad yall made it... You too Yvette.
Yvette- Thanks... You look nice... The house looks great too.
Ash- Thanks... I love your sweater... Hey but I'll be right back... I just saw som rif raf i need to get rid of... or lets say one rif raf... Craig! Get over here...

Craig walked over with his camera.

Craig- Hey. You guys just got here?
Yvette- Yeah...
Ashley- Manny is here...
Craig- So?
Ashley- She shouldn't be here... This is my house...
Craig- Let her be...
Spinner- Yeah i mean you got the man didnt you?
Yvette- Gav... thats the girl?...
Spinner- Yeah hun...
Ashley- Excuse me you guys...
Craig- Ashley...
Yvette- I need the potty...
Spinner- Potty?
Yvette- What?! Its a word!
Spinner- Ok... Ill be over there with Jimmy...

He kissed her in front of Craig making him flinch and walked away.

Craig- Want me to show you...
Yvette- Naw its ok I’ll find it... You better go find Ashley before she kills that girl...

Yvette smiled softly and walked away...

Craig looked after her wanting nothing more but to follow. She looked so...

Marco- She looks nice no?
Craig- Hey... Who Ash?
Marco- No stupid... don't be a chicken Craig...

Yvette put on some chapstick and looked in the mirror

Yvette- He looked so good...

She was talking about Craig. She still loved the way he looked at her, even if they were with other people now.

Yvette opened the door but suddenly felt someone slip in and turn off the light. The only light on was the little night light pluged in below them. It took her a while for her eyes to ajust and to realize the guy locking the door was Craig.

Yvette- What are you doing here?
Craig- We need to talk...
Yvette- Can we talk outside in the light?! People are going to say stuff and you and I both have a other half remember?

Secretly she was enjoying this but wasn't going to show it.

Craig- Yvette let me say that...
Yvette- You are crazy?

He laughed a little

Craig put his hand on her waist and pulled her to him.

Craig- I...
Yvette- Craig...

He leaned in little by little. And then suddenly they could hear from downstairs screaming and ranting.

Yvette- We have to see...

She went to turn on the light but his hand stopped her.

Craig- God please just let me...

There was a crash now and more ranting. Neither could ignore it at this point. They turned on the light and he squeezed her hand gently. They looked at each other for a couple seconds before walking down the stairs
