Now as for a little comment about this chapter, it should be known that I did not start out to write it like this, my little muse took over and deicded that it was time more focus was placed on the other couple of this story and then of course I just started typing lol I actually like how it turned out and I hope the rest of you do. and dont worry the next chapter will be about what happen when Bridge and Z faced off against Savanah..or at least it should be :| it may be about Sky and Syd again all depends on what happens while I type so with that said enjoy

----Chapter 5, Part 1-Things in Motion---


Bridge was all smiles as he walked down the hall and towards the command center, All he could think about was the look on her face when he touched her, he was still grinning as he walked into the room, the other four of course were already their and he looked over them noticing that Syd who normally stood next to Sky was as far away from him as possible. When he stepped into line with the rest of them Cruger turned and pressed a button and the screen came on

"As you can see we have a bit of a problem, Morgana is on the east side of town causing as much chaos as she can manage"

"We can handle her"

"slow down Sky that’s not the only problem, if you look here *he pressed another button and the picture changed "You will see that Savanah is on the east side, and here” Again the screen changed "A monster is loose, I am going to split you into teams I want Bridge and Z to go after Savanah, Jack and Sam to go after Morgana, and Sky you can go with Syd after the monster"

"Sir could I please change places with Z"

"No, you are to go with Sky"

"But sir"

Curger turned to stare at her and Sky fell silent with a nod of her head and didn't even bother looking at Sky, with a nod of his head the six of them left the room as the doors slid behind them Z smacked Bridge on the arm

"Hey what was that for?"

"Nice hair ace"

Bridge peeked into a window as they walked by it and down towards the jeep blushing a little, his hair was sticking out every which way it wasn’t hard to figure out what he had been up to a few moments ago

"Shut it"

"Make me"

She stuck her tongue out at him and hurried toward the jeep with Bridge laughing as he went after her, back over on the other side of the parking lot Sky and Syd were having an argument of their own but their was no hint of playfulness

"I am not riding on that thing"

"And I am not debating this now come on" He shoved a helmet into her chest and she let winced a bit at the force before catching it with her hands as it started to fall towards the ground " And stop being a pain"

"It’s going to mess up my hair"

"Tough"

"I’m not doing it" she all but threw the helmet at him and he just dodged it before a scowl crossed his face as it hit the ground, he grabbed it and turned to face her before without a word shoving the helmet down and over her head and then grabbed Syd by the waist lifted her up and sat her on the bike, with that he put his own helmet on and tossed his leg over the bike and sat down himself, as he started the bike and peeled out of the parking lot Syd quickly wrapped her arms around his waist and held on for life. He drove like a psycho. Since he couldn’t see her Syd allowed herself to smile inside her helmet and wiggled closer feeling the warmth of his body threw his shirt. She hated how he treated people but that didn’t change the fact over how she felt about him, in fact it made it worse. It hurt her that part of him just didn’t appeal to her. She closed her eyes and thought back to the kiss it had both excited her and made her angry he had used it as a punishment once again crossing a line he shouldn’t have, she sighed and jerked a bit as they hit a dip in the road

"Nice driving champ"

In front of her Sky rolled his eyes, before hitting another pothole on purpose, the squeak she gave made his mood perk up. She was annoying as hell in fact half of the time he couldn’t decided if he wanted to shake her or fuck her. That’s right Sky Tate had emotions just like everyone else. For a while he had thought Syd was the one person who actually under stood him but over the last couple days it was clear he had been wrong. Her comment about him not being the red ranger had made his will power snap and since he could never actually hurt her he kissed her. The look on her face had been priceless. He knew he cared for her but he didn’t feel like analyzing his feelings especially when she couldn’t take all of him, she wanted her version of Sky and that wasn’t about to happen, his face and darkened over while he thoughts bounced around and he felt her tighten her grip on his waist, her nails digging into the fabric of his top, he glanced down at the speedometer and slowed down about fifteen miles as soon as he did Syd's hands had relaxed.

"You ok back there?"

"Not like you care"

Syd frowned inside her helmet, and pulled away from him a bit, lord forbid he got the wrong idea she didn’t feel like dealing with whatever he had to say. She missed the old Sky the one she had fun with lately he had been so grumpy and she couldn’t figure out why. As she sat their behind him her mind recalled a memory from a few months back. Back when they had to deal with Tomars. She had been crazy with worry over Sky in fact she had been to god damn happy he was back when, Jack, Boom, and He had dropped into the command center she had thrown herself at him at least she had held onto some control otherwise she would have taken him right there and then. She felt the bike stop and sighed before getting off and pulling the helmet off her head, she pouted as she started to flatten her hair

"Stop primping"

"Go play with yourself"

"Don't start with me right now"

"Or what Sky?"

"I mean it Sydney"

"Whatever"

They stood their glaring at each other when a blast erupted next to them and Syd was knocked off balance and straight into Sky who’s arms wrapped around her and helped her stand upright. Syd leaned against him as the ringing in her hears slowly died away and without a word he released her and turned to find in Syd opinnion they fuglyest thing she had ever seen in her life. It was green and oozing something out of its sides. She fought back the urge to throw up and glanced over at Sky

"What the hell is that thing?"

"Because I would know Sydney"

"Grrr"

"Kinky"

"Would you to shut up already?"

Sky rolled his eyes and turned to the monster before pulling out his morpher, this was going to be one of the easiest things he'd ever done. He watched out of the corner of his eye as Syd pulled hers out and with that they morphed, only one problem as soon as they were done and looked around the monster was gone

"The fuck?"

"Language Tate"

"Blow me Blondie"

His comment was met by silence but he didn’t really care, he went to go after the monster wherever the hell it had gotten off to when he felt a hand on his chest, he glanced down and found Syd un morphed and scowling up at him, fantastic another lecture. He powered down with a sigh

"What"

"I’m getting really tired of you Sky"

"We don’t have time for this Sydney and you know it, we have a job to do"

"Lord Forbid anyone bother you while you're working"

"I said not now"

"So when Sky? After you insult Veronica yet again? Or how about when you upset Bridge. No not then? What about when you attack Jack's leadership talents, or call Z a thief. When do you plan to talk to me I wonder"

"Move out of my way Sydney before I move you myself, I am not having this discussion here"

"Who are you kidding you won’t have it anywhere, because you’re chicken shit and I’m tired of dealing with it. I am sick and tired of you calling me names and making your comments I do have feelings you know not that you would care all you care about is yourself and making yourself look good. Well you can take care of this mission on your own because it’s clear that’s all that matters"

With that she shoved him out of her way and stormed off past the bike and down the street, Sky pursed his lips and debated going after her finally with a shake of his head he turned off and headed in the other direction in search of the nameless monster, he would let her cool down first.

"Damn her"


Syd walked a few more steps before sitting under a tree and resting her head on her knees, she had done it again snapped at him and walked off. Actually walked off in the middle of a mission. It was getting out of hand but she didn’t know what else to do anymore. She was in love with a complete asshole and it sucked a lot she watched his back as he went and did what he always did, his job. She heaved a sigh before standing up and moving to take a step in the direction he went when she let out a startled cry and looked down to find a red spot spreading across the grey vest she had on. She looked up slowly before starting to feel woozy and slowly fell to the ground with a whisper

"Sky..."

Sky forced himself not to look back at her it would only put him in a worse mood, the damn girl normally what she said wouldn’t have bothered him but coming for her. It did. He rubbed the back of his neck and was about to turn a corner around an old warehouse when he heard a loud noise from behind him. He turned and looked around for the source when he noticed Syd under a tree he watched as she slowly looked down and touched her stomach gently before she slowly looked up with a confused and somewhat worried look it was then he noticed the red on what should have been a grey and pink vest. His eyes went wide as she started to fall and he sprinted back towards her

"SYDNEY!"

The last thing Sydney remembered was Sky's face as everything faded to black


---Chapter 5, Part 2-A plan working...sorta---


Morgana looked away from the red and omega ranger as Rumox appeared at her side, he had been dispatched as nothing more then a ploy to pull attention away from Savanah and Morgana. But she could tell by the way he was he had good news for her, she smirked and waved to the two rangers before nodding to Rumox and together the two of them disappeared leaving Jack and Sam to deal with the Krybots left behind. Once they were in her room Morgana grabbed a doll and sat on her bed

"What is it Rumox"

"Mistress, you're going to be very very pleased with me"

"Spit it out already"

"The pink ranger should no longer be a problem"

"What did you just say?"

"I said that pink ranger should no longer be a problem"

"Explain and quickly"

"Well two of the rangers showed up where I was the pink and blue ones but they were more interested in fighting with each other then even bothering with me so.."

"Yes, my plan is working. Having Veronica down there is tearing them apart"

"Yes Morgana but there’s more"

"I need to talk to Savanah"

"Morgana"

"What?!"

"I have more to tell you, now after they argued they stormed away from each other and while the blue one had his back to her I shot the pink ranger in the chest with a very special weapon"

"Wait...you actually shot her? It went threw the uniform?"

"They had demorphed during the argument, now as I was saying. I used a very special weapon on her she’s going to be out of the picture for a very long time"

"What’s the weapon do Rumox"

"Its simple really, you wouldn’t be able to understand the name since it’s in my native language but basically once the toxic enters your body well it’s not a pretty site"

"That is not an explanation" Her eyes narrowed and Rumox looked a tad worried "So I suggest you try again"

"Well think of it as...slowly making the person go crazy, well at least it will if I hit her in the chest and I think I did"

"You think..."

"Well she was a ways away"

"What happens if you only hit her say in the stomach Rumox?"

"Well she umm...might feel a little sickly but that’s about it"

"A little sickly..."

"You need to hit the chest so that the toxin enters the heart I.. I’m pretty sure I got her in the chest though"

Morgana glared at him before how you say "getting rid of him" she pouted at the mark it had left on her floor and went to help Savanah with the two lackey that had been sent after her, the pink ranger may not die but at least it was one less to deal with right now, and as long as Veronica did her job the others were fucked


Back outside Sky was about to have a panic attack, there was Syd out cold with a growing red spot on her pretty little body, he quickly pulled his jacket off before opening hers so he could get a better look at the wound. Pulling his morpher out he snapped it open and waited for it to connect with the academy and then used his free hand to press his jacket down on her small frame to stop the blood flow

"What is it Sky?"

"Kat, I need help now"

"Calm down Sky, what happened"

"I don’t have time to explain what the hell happened, what I need is either you or Cruger to get out here and help me, its Syd she’s in trouble"

"Again I’m going to ask what happened"

"I’m not really sure what the fuck happened Kat all I know is she’s not awake and she’s bleeding from the stomach"

With that he snapped his morpher shut and quickly snapped it back on before rubbing a hand threw her long blonde hair, gods the last time he talked to her could not be her telling him how much she hated him and not thinking he cared for her. He was only good with one emotion and that was anger. As she laid there barley breathing he thought back to how she had always been there for him weather he knew it or not. She was the one who had tired to get him to reach out more to the team, the one who had been thankful when he came back. Always Syd and now where she was for all he knew dying he would not lose another person he cared about it was that simple

"Wake up Blondie, who’s going to lecture me if you’re not around"

When she didn’t so much as twitch he closed his eyes, he had to keep himself together, Falling apart was not Sky Tate. He heard the sound of a car approaching and looked over his shoulder to find Boom and Kat hurrying over followed by a few academy EMTs. While he still had a moment alone with her Sky ran the tips of his fingers over her cheek

"You have to stay with me"
