Point of No Return pt 6

Greg did a double take and found his voice before anyone else.

“Grissom! Oh my God. I guess our lists were a complete bust.”

Michelle smiled and laughed. “Yes I guess they were. You guys insisted that he wouldn’t be caught dead at this party and here he is. You said there is no way he’d wear anything even remotely like that, and he seems to be wearing it just fine.” She stepped forward again and reached for Grissom, but he grabbed her wrists before she made contact.

“Michelle I don’t know what game you’re playing, but I don’t like it. I’m seeing someone so just back off.”

Conrad walked over when he heard Grissom’s name. “Wasn’t it you who said you couldn’t escort Michelle to this because you were seeing someone, and yet you arrived here with CSI Sidle. Why is that?”

Grissom released Michelle’s wrists and looked from Conrad to the sheriff who was standing behind him. “I didn’t say I couldn’t escort Michelle, I said I wouldn’t. There is a difference. And I arrived with Sara because she is the woman I’ve been seeing. We’ve been together for a few weeks now, and at no time has it interfered with our work. Of course now that there is a policy that doesn’t leave interoffice relationships at the discretion of one person, there isn’t a reason to hide it anymore.”

He turned back to Brass and Catherine. “Now which one of you is going to tell me exactly what you said to Sara that got her so upset?” Catherine gave Grissom the highlights, which had him running a hand over his goatee and pinching the bridge of his nose. They had been merciless with her; it was no wonder she was in tears.

Grissom sighed and shook his head at his team. “You let yourselves get ahead of the evidence, and you became too emotionally involved to see it clearly. Didn’t it occur to you three that it was a little suspicious that I had plans tonight, and you knew Sara was going to be here?”

Nick jumped in. “Wait a minute, you guys knew about him and Sara? And you didn’t tell us? Now that’s just wrong. Do you know how many times I was her shoulder to cry or vent on? She’s been in love with Grissom forever.”

“Exactly,” Grissom interrupted. “You all knew that and ignored it. What made you think she would act like she was with anyone else? You guys have known me for years. I’m surprised you didn’t figure it out on your own.”

Archie felt the need to defend his friends. “Well your face was covered and you weren’t talking to anyone. How were they to know?”

Grissom smirked at the A/V tech. “And how many times have you gone over video identifying suspects from features other than their faces? Something about them always gives them away. No one recognized my eyes? Or the way I walk?”

Michelle smirked. “I think the outfit had them too distracted. I mean you wear such baggy clothes at the lab, who know you looked like that.”

Nick nodded. “She has a point Griss. No one had any idea you were built like that.”

“Still, other factors should have given you some clue. The biggest one being how Sara was acting. Look, we just wanted to tell everyone about the two of us and we thought this would be kind of fun to do it here. I know you guys were just trying to look out for when because you thought it was necessary, but if you’re going to blame someone, then blame me. This whole thing was my idea from the start.”

Grissom started to walk away when Michelle grabbed his arm. “So you and Sidle are together.” Grissom smiled at her as he removed his arm from her grasp. “Yes we are. And we’ll stay that way too. I love her too much to let her go.” They were all in shock as they watched him walk out of the ballroom and go in search of Sara.

Sara sat at the bar sipping her club soda, oblivious to the looks the men in the bar were giving her. She knew she hadn’t done anything wrong, but the looks on her friends’ faces haunted her. Nothing would be able to remove those looks from her mind, or remove the regret that they caused. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn’t notice the attractive man who slid onto the seat next to her until he spoke.

“Aren’t you a little cold in that?”

Sara looked over at the dark haired man for the first time. “No not really.”

The man smiled at her. “I hope you don’t think I’m too forward, but I’d just like to say that while my costar was lovely in that costume, she had nothing on you.”

Sara just looked at the man with a blank stare and he introduced himself. “I’m Gerard Butler. I played Phantom in Joel Schumacher’s film.” Sara blinked and looked back at her drink. “Sorry. Didn’t see it. I’ve only seen Phantom on stage.” He edged closer to her and moved his hand to her arm. “Well I’ll just have to arrange a private screening for you.”

Grissom saw the scene at the bar and saw green. How dare anyone touch Sara, HIS Sara. He walked over to the bar beside her and leaned against it. “Honey are you alright?” Sara looked up with red-rimmed eyes and tried to smile.

“I’m fine. My friends think I’m a heartless bitch who would break your heart and a slut, but yeah I’m fine.”

The actor saw the fire in the older man’s eyes and moved his hand away from Sara’s arm, making his exit before the scene got ugly. Grissom watched the man retreat and turned back to Sara. “Honey they don’t think that at all. This whole thing is my fault. I should have been up front with them that it was me, or just forgotten the whole thing and just told them all about us at the lab.”

Sara turned to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. “It’s not your fault. You didn’t know they would react like that, or that they wouldn’t figure out it was you. And you certainly didn’t plan on Brass finding us like that.”

Grissom smiled and kissed her forehead. “True. I guess you were right and the cloakroom wasn’t a good idea. But I just couldn’t help myself.”

Sara smiled at him and tightened her grip on him. “And just what gave you that idea in the first place?”

Grissom pulled her to her feet and began to guide her out of the bar. “My dear you aren’t the only one with fantasies. Do you know how many nights I was alone and thinking about you?”

He wrapped his arm around her waist and held her close as they walked down the hall past the ballroom. “Sara there were many nights I was alone in my bed thinking of you being there and all the things I would do if you were.” He hit the elevator button and they started up to the room he had gotten for them.

Once inside the room, Sara didn’t even have time to look around before she was pinned to the wall. His hands caressed her all over as he kissed her and her skirt was quickly bunched around her waist. She reached for him and instead he pinned her hands above her head while he kissed and bit her neck. Her knees were weak and she thought for sure she would fall without him holding her up.

Grissom pulled his head back and looked at her. Her face was flushed and her skin was red from his beard and his kisses. What drew his attention most were her eyes. Her eyes were near black with passion. He has been afraid that he was being too forceful with her, that he was scaring her. But now he saw he was just turning her on more. He released her hands while he freed his now weeping cock from his tight pants and ripped her panties off of her. Grissom watched her eyes as he grabbed her hips and pulled her close to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and held on as he plunged into her in one strong thrust. Her back was against the wall and she wrapped her legs around his hips pulling him deeper within her. She knew the firm grip he had on her hips would leave marks and she didn’t care. She wanted him to mark her, to claim her, to let everyone know she was his. The strong, pounding thrusts came faster and harder causing her to cry out each time his cock nailed her cervix. She watched his blue eyes darken and knew this was not the gentle lover she had in Pittsburgh. This was a man claiming what was his. She raked her nails across his shoulders feeling the contrast of the soft fabric and the hard muscle beneath when she heard him growl as he thrust.

“You’re mine. Say it. Come on honey. Tell me.”

One more powerful thrust into her cervix caused her orgasm to erupt and she screamed. “Yes! I’m yours. Only you. I’m yours.” The sound of her voice along with her inner muscles squeezing him was all it took for his own climax to rush forward and claim him. He continued to thrust as his seed filled her and left him spent. They sank to the floor and Grissom sat there on his knees with Sara in his lap while they caught their breath. After a few minutes his knees were screaming their protest and they were forced to move, both of them wincing as they stood. Sara started for the bathroom and Grissom gasped when he saw the marks on her hips where bruises were already beginning to form.

When she returned he had hobbled to the bed and was sitting there holding his head in his hands. She walked over and sat down beside him. “What is it?” Grissom couldn’t look at her and just sat there. “Gil? What’s wrong?”

“I hurt you.”

“What? Gil what are you talking about?”

Grissom reached down and gingerly touched a bruise on her hip. “I hurt you. I should have known better. I shouldn’t have brought you up here. Not after listening to Brass and then finding you in the bar with that, that man touching you.”

Sara touched his shoulder and turned him to look at her. “Gil I’m fine. You didn’t hurt me. We’re both really emotional after the party and we got carried away. There’s nothing to be upset about. I wanted it as much as you did, maybe more.” Grissom looked into her eyes and saw the truth behind her words.

“You wanted me like that?”

Sara smiled and pulled closer to him. “Yes I did. After all that drama downstairs I needed you. I needed to know I’m yours. I wanted you to lose control and possess my body the way you have always possessed my heart.”

He ran his hand over her hip until she reached for his hand and stilled it. “It’s ok. You didn’t hurt me. So I’m sore, and I’m sure I’ll be a lot sorer tomorrow. But that is a small price to pay for such an incredible experience.” She watched his face and saw he was still not convinced. “Would you have stopped if I wanted you to?”

He looked as shocked as if she had struck him. “Of course.”

“Did I look scared? Did I give you any indication that I wanted you to stop?”

“No.”

Sara smiled. “Then what are you so upset about? You didn’t do anything wrong.”

Grissom wrapped her into a hug and held her tight. “On one level I know that. But I know about your childhood and don’t even want you to think that anything between us is anything like that.”

“And I wont. You’re a passionate man, Gil. Not a violent one. Believe me I know the difference.”

He sighed and sat back against the headboard of the bed, pulling her with him. “After that scene downstairs, I’m not so sure. When Catherine told me the things they said to you I was steamed. Then I walked into the bar and that guy was so close and touching you. God Sara I wanted to hurt him and get his hands off of you.”

Sara chuckled and held him tight. “Protective and jealous. So that’s what gets you to lose control like that. I’ll have to remember that.”

“Don’t you dare. I hate feeling like that. Well the losing control part was incredible, but let’s just skip the drama next time.”

His hand caressed her arm and he leaned down to capture her lips. Slowly he slid the lace from her costume down her shoulder and followed it with his lips. When he pulled her costume over her head and tossed it to the floor she could feel his cock once again coming to life. He worshiped her with his mouth until she pushed him back and reached for him, unbuttoning his shirt and dropping it to the floor. Her lips quickly trailed a path across his chest, toyed with his nipples and continued down his stomach. He stopped her and stood to remove his pants, then stretched out beside her on the bed. The feel of her soft skin against his was almost his undoing.

They caressed and kissed each other everywhere they could reach without losing the contact they each craved. Finally Grissom could take no more and he turned Sara onto her side facing him as he shifted her leg over his hip and slowly sheathed himself in her. He gently rocked his hips into her and that subtle movement was enough. This was not a hurried union driven by sexual appetites, but a man determined to convey his love when words failed him. He caressed her and kissed her all while the gentle rocking steadily continued.

Tears formed in Sara’s eyes because of the overwhelming emotions she felt. She knew he loved her, but up until now she only had glimpses of its intensity. He not only had me feel loved, but cherished, like she was the most precious thing on earth to him. His hands caressed down her body to her core where he lightly brushed over her clit, sending her crashing into a powerful orgasm and she clung tightly to him. Her climax triggered his own and they held each other as their tears fell and they began to drift off to sleep. Grissom smiled when the song that had been on the radio earlier played in his mind.

*Let’s hold hands on the porch swing, under the moon
While the wind through the willows plays us a tune
We can lie on a blanket out back in the yard
And wish for our future on some far away star,
You’ll feel the passion, as time after time, I press your sweet lips to mine
We can dance to the radio right up ‘till dawn
‘Till you drift off to dream in my arms.*
