Choices Consequences

A/N: Sorry it took me so long to write some more, but I live in Mississippi and Katrina hit us. We lost power for about a week and I just now got cable and internet back. So much has happened here and I’ve realized that the little things don’t matter anymore. My family and friends are safe thank god. I had a cousin who lost their house. Our water just got safe to drink. My brother got damage to his house, but otherwise everyone is ok. I have three friends whom I have not heard from, but I’m pretty sure they are okay. I hope you like this story as much as I like waiting it. These are going to be the last five chapters in this story. Like all good things it must come to an end.

Chapter Six

It had been weeks since Ronon and Alessandra shared a bed together. She was busy working in the lab and he was busy with his stuff. Today she was going off world, but not for work she was going with Teyla who was going to trade.
It was nice to get away for a while. Truthfully she felt she was getting to close to Ronon so it was good for her to get away from him so she could think of anything, but him. Teyla understood which was why she agreed to let her tag along. The planet they were on was beautiful. Crystal blue water greeted them at the gate and a sea of beautiful flowers lined the walk away to a city that was just as breath taking as the land around it.
“Wow it’s so beautiful.” Alessandra exclaimed as the scientist in her wanted to explore the land around her.
“I know it is.” Teyla said as they entered the city.
The people there were very friendly and beautiful. It was like not an ugly person around which intimidate Alessandra since she never considered her self as beautiful as these people. It was like she really was an outsider trespassing in a place he had no right to be at. Teyla touched her arm softly
“If you’ll wait here I’ll go see if they are willing to trade some medical supplies.” Teyla said as she gave her a beautiful smile” Don’t worry they think you’re my um...” she paused as if she tried to find the words” I believe John called it ‘Girlfriend’. Yes, that was what he called and that is what they think you and I are.” she turned from a shocked Alessandra and went into the building where she was trading.
“Oh my..” Alessandra started to laugh to her self. Oh this is funny. John is going to love this. Hmm. Stop what are you doing? It’s John your best friend. Besides Teyla would never go for it. She gave her self a mental shake as she cleared her head, but then her thoughts went to Ronon. It had to be the flower I had that made us want each other so bad then all the drama with Vince going around beating up the women. Yeah that’s exactly what it was because now he wants nothing to do with me. She told her self as Teyla came back out to her with the supplies she needed.
“Sorry you waited so long.” Teyla said as she placed a soft kiss on her cheek.
“It’s okay I occupied my self with thoughts.” she said feeling a little weird about having Tela’s soft lips on her cheek.
“About Ronon no doubt.” Teyla said as they walked to the stargate.
“You know me so well.” she said with a soft smile.
“You know the kiss on the cheek was all for show right?” Tela said feeling the need to explain why she did it.
“Yeah it doesn’t bother me. I have friends back home and we always pretend to be with each other when we don’t want the attentions of a man we don’t like.” she said softly as she dialed Atlantis.
“Ok.” she said “Now on to Ronon. You two have a bond with each other that goes beyond the intimate relations you share. If not then you wouldn’t feel the need to get away from him.” she looked over at her as the gate opened.
As they walked onto the platform of The Atlantis gate room Alessandra was hit with reality Teyla was right. Normally she would confide in Elizabeth because she was her sister, but how do you tell your sister that you have a thing for a man that’s from a different galaxy? As if on cue Elizabeth walked up to as she made her way out of the gate room.
“I’m glad you’re okay and I am sorry that I haven’t been spending time with you. But it’s hard enough that everyone knows you’re my sister I don’t want them to think I’m showing favoritism.” she explained as she greeted her.
“It’s okay, it’s enough that John shows it and everyone seems to treat me differently, but at least they don’t ignore me.” she said understanding her sister’s position.
“So, how are things going you and John seem close, but you and Ronon seem closer.” she said as they went into her office
“God is it that obvious?” she asked curious as she sat down in a chair.
“Well considering that he pretty much slept with you the whole time you were in the infirmary it’s pretty obvious.” she said with a soft smile” You’re a grown woman, but just be careful you don’t get to caught up.”
“That’s what I’ve been telling myself all along. “ she said softly” I just can’t help it, but how do I know it’s the real thing and not just something born out of a intense situation?” the deep sadness in her eyes and uncertainty concerned Elizabeth
“Why don’t you ask him?” she suggested
“Because I’m not sure my self so how can I expect him to be sure.” she said with a heavy sigh
“Okay then just explore what you know it is and don’t worry about anything more.” she said
“I love talking to you.” she said as the two hugged tightly
“I’ve missed this.” she said as they let go
“So, did I.” she said” I’ll see you later Liz.” she turned and left her office.
Talking to her sister made her feel better, but still she wasn’t ready to face Ronon yet it was a good thing he was gone off world on a mission with John. She went out to the balcony to watch the sunset over the ocean as a breeze flew through her hair she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder. Startled by not hearing anyone come up she whirled around to see John standing there.
“Sorry, I called your name, but you didn’t answer.” he said as he moved to stand by her with his arm around her waist
“So, how was your mission?” she asked as she leaned into him feeling that comfortableness she always felt with him. He was like an old blanket that you loved.
“It was rough because the people were unfriendly and then the wraith attacked.” he said as he rested his head on the top of hers. He loved holding and just cuddling like this. It his contentment. He understood why Ronon was attached to her.
They stood there staring into the dusky sky that had the fading colors of a purple, orange, and deep pink sunset.
