Chapter 6
A/N: I am sorry for not updating sooner but with this new job it is hard. Hope you enjoy. This chapter will be covering two places. The first one is where they live at now and the second will be their new house in New York. And yes the time and miles of the trip are correct. I used Yahoo maps from my city to where OCC is located at. And with that said let us now continue.
Chapter 6
Christy stood up and finished packing her room. Samantha ( Sam) Paul's girlfriend had found them a house in New York. She smiled as she said goodbye to her home for the past few years. The new owners would start moving in tomorrow and she had gotten a cash payment in full for the house. It was more than the house was worth but it was ok. The house that she had purchased in New York was supposed to be bigger. She hadn't seen it but trusted Sam's judgement on the deal. She took the final box down to the van and nodded. This was going to be a long trip for them all but it was worth the move. Christy did a mental checklist with everything and then turning from the house one last time she placed the keys on the counter and shut the door. Clint hugged her close and smiled.
"It is ok Christy honey. We are moving on in our lives. That is the important thing."
Christy nodded and got into the truck with Mary. Clint and Josh got into the moving van and the two vehicles set off out of the drive. They had decided not to stop for the night. Only stopping to change drivers and get gas. So in 18 hours 27 minutes and 1199.6 miles later they were sitting in Rock Tavern, New York. Christy jumped out of the truck at the Wal-Mart and stretched her legs. She looked over to see a blonde headed woman walking over to them.
"Are you Christy?"
Christy nodded.
"My name is Sam. We talked on the phone. If you want to follow me I will take you to your new home."
Christy spun and ran to the moving van to tell Josh to follow them. He agreed and she jumped back in the truck. By now Mary had taken the wheel again and Christy told her that they were to follow Sam. Christy then jumped as she heard a motor next to the truck. She looked over shocked as Sam was sitting on a blue chopper. Mary chuckled and they pulled out behind her.
After twenty minutes of driving Sam pulled into a driveway. Jamie whistled at the house that was there.
"Holy shit sis. This house has got to be at least twice as big as the one you had."
Christy nodded and got out of the truck, followed closely by everyone else. Sam turned off her bike and got off.
"Paul stated you needed a place to handle all the people in your family and this was one of the houses I had been trying to sale forever. It is a three story, ten bedroom, nine and a half bath, kitchen, dining room, family room, two dens, two studies. It has a ten car garage which is located in the back of the house. There is also a pool as well as a hot tub. Each bathroom has a shower and a jacuzzi tub in it. There is an attic as well as a storage building. It is completely furnished as you can tell." She stopped as her cell phone rang. "Excuse me . I need to take this call." The kids waited till she was out of the house and then took off flying up the stairs to see which bedroom they wanted.
"YOU GUYS GET OUT OF THE MASTER BEDROOM! THAT IS MAMMA'S AND DADDA'S!", Christy yelled out. She shook her head as all of them scurried out of the room and down the hallways to check to see which room they wanted. Christy opened a door at the end of the right hallway and walked inside. It was a smaller room that overlooked the pool and she turned noticing the door in the wall. She knew it wasn't a closet and opened it wide. It connected into an adjoining bedroom. She grinned whenever she figured out what she was going to do. She walked into the bedroom and smiled. On the left side of the room there was a door leading into the bathroom. The right side door exited into the smaller one. Walking on into the room she saw the king size bed against the wall and the nightstands on either side. The dresser had a mirror on top of it and at least ten drawers. The closet was a walking with a bunch of shelves. She turned to look out the window and realized that it had a window seat. She walked out of the rooms and met everyone else at the landing. "I am going to take the rooms at the end of the hall. The last one opens into the adjoining bedroom and it is small but it will do for the nursery."
Everyone turned to hear talking downstairs. Sam smiled up to them. "So where do all the boxes go?"
Clint walked downstairs and nodded to Paul. He had gotten every guy in the shop to help with the unloading and Mikey walked in. Clint hugged him and he picked up a box and looked at the kids. "I know it ain't much but I had nameplates made for your rooms. I kind of figured it would make it easier for us to help with the boxes."
Clint smiled and hugged his nephew. "It was a great idea Mikey. Thanks."
He opened the box and called out each kids name in return. When Christy stepped forwards to get hers she looked at Mikey. He hugged her and smiled.
"Welcome to the family Christy."
As he held her in a hug Paulie cleared his throat. Mikey stepped back and blushed. The kids all ran upstairs and placed their nameplates by their doors and then set out to help. Within a few hours they had everything unloaded and Paul smiled.
"Thanks guys. Go ahead and head home. I am sure they will go to Wal-Mart for anything else that they need."
Everyone nodded and with a final goodbye, they left the house and pulled off on their choppers.
A few hours later found Christy and her family at the local Wal-Mart doing the shopping for the house. Christy and Jamie walked over to the bedding and looked around. Once they found what they were looking for, they decided to take a pit stop in the baby department. There they stopped to comment on the tiny onesie's ( and for those who don't know what those are they are the one piece under outfits that go under the clothing.) While they were whispering among each other, they couldn't help but overhear a conversation. They peeked between two displays and saw a tall blonde headed girl as well as a tall black haired girl.
"Whitney. Are you so sure that he is going to pick you to be the mother of his child?"
Whitney turned to Casey. "Of course. Who else would he pick? I am the best choice for the mother of his child."
Casey looked back at Whitney. "Whit. You do know it will be sort of hard, seeing that you and him."
Whitney glared. "Look Casey. You can either support me or go away. Paulie loves me and Paul will make him see the error of his ways. He was with me last night as well as the night before. It will only be a short time before I am pregnant and Paulie will be so happy."
Christy blanched at those words and slowly backed up. She dropped the outfit she had in her hands and pushed the cart out of the section. Once she was out of ear shot, Jamie walked outside and took out her cell phone.
Vinnie jumped four feet in the air as his cell phone rang out. Paul and Paulie looked at him and shrugged. Vinnie answered it and held it away from his ear as his girlfriend started chewing his ass out.
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF GAME MY COUSIN IS PLAYING BUT I BE DAMNED IF SHE IS GOING TO CRY OVER PAULIE! WE WERE JUST IN THE BABY DEPARTMENT AND OVERHEARD THAT HE IS HAVING SOMEONE ELSE BE THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILD! I BE DAMNED IF SHE IS GOING TO CRY OVER HIM! THERE ARE TWO MANY SIMULARITIES ON THE STORY FOR IT TO BE A CHANCE ENCOUNTER! I DON'T THINK THERE ARE TWO FAMILIES HERE IN ROCK TAVERN THAT ARE HAVING THE PROBLEM THAT PAULIE AND PAUL ARE! DON'T YOU THINK THAT IF HE WAS SERIOUS HE SURE AS HELL WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN WITH WHITNEY LAST NIGHT AND THE NIGHT BEFORE! FIX IT VINCENT AND FIX IT NOW!", with that she slammed her cell phone shut and went to find her sister.
Vinnie looked over at Paul and Paulie and frowned. "That was Jamie. And now we have a problem."
Paul looked at him. "The problem Vinnie?"
Vinnie looked right over at Paulie and met his eyes. "Whitney. Name ring a bell? Seems she was in Wal-Mart with a friend and the girls overheard her talking. She basically said that you were with her last night and the night before and that she was going to be the mother of your child. And I got bitched out about it."
Paulie took a breath. "I should have known. I knew this was too good to be true. Call Jamie and ask her what time they will be home. I have the sudden urge to kiss the hell out of Christy and let her know she is the only one for me."
Paulie knocked on their door a few hours later. Clint opened it and nodded up the stairs. Paulie walked in and went straight to nursery room. Jamie came out the door and he shook his head. She knew that meant for her not to say a word and she walked away. Paulie stepped in and shut the door.
Christy spun as soon as she smelled his after shave. She made to run to the door but he beat her there causing her to slam into his chest. He grabbed her arms and slammed his lips onto hers. He poured all the passion he could manage into that one kiss. When he finally felt the air running out of his lungs he ripped his lips from hers and placed her head on his chest. Christy stood there trying to get her breath. Once he was able he spoke.
"Never doubt that you are the one for me. I chose you and I be damned if I am going to loose you over some lie. You will be the mother of my child Christy. Not Whitney. Not someone else. You and only you. Never doubt that again."
Christy nodded and drew back. Paulie opened the door and led her over to her bed.
"Lay with me tonight Paulie?"
He nodded and removed his boots. He turned back the bed and laying down drew her into his arms. Within minutes they were both sleeping.
