form a father's pov

Roman Brady sat in front of this computer cursing. He had been unable to contact John for three days now. Something must have happened, but what it was Roman was at a lose at. For the last two months, he had been trying to find out where his children were. Roman was determined to find the twins and Mimi, he had to save them.

God knew what hell was happing to them, Roman was unsure of just why all three had vanished. Roman had been doing a lot of thinking the last few days. He was starting to come to some very unsettling conclusion.

He was starting to think that Tony had taken them. After all the crap that Stefano and Andre had pulled. He knew better to under estimate a DiMera, god knew why Tony would take his children.

Roman growled the twins were not Tony's children, he had no business being any where near them. The DiMeras had cost him more than enough time with his children. He'd be dead first before he let Tony or anyone else cost him more time.

Roman sighed, he didn't know why fate seemed to be so out to get him. He had lost so much time with his many children that he was in shock that any of them. Still recognized him as their father, and wanted to spend any time with him. Roman wished that his children were all on better terms with each other.

His first born from his marriage to Anna, Carrie was not even in the country. Roman despite what she had told him, felt as if Sami was to blame for this. His first born and he didn't even get to spend any time with her anymore.

Roman had not gotten nearly as much time with her as he would have liked. Sadly for him, Carrie was more Tony or John's child than his. He knew that Carrie loved him, but somehow Tony or John held more of her heart than he ever would.

Roman sighed, at least John held less of Carrie's heart. Tony however held the rest in full, he was Carrie's father. He was the one that Carrie knew best as her father. Roman growled, in his heart he hated it. Hated the idea that Tony was more Carrie's father than him. What he truely hated the most, more than anything else. Was that where was no way to get Carrie's love back. Tony would forever hold her love in away Roman could never do so.

Eric was still to this day distant and never dropped anyone in town a line. He spent his days behind his camera and his nights out partying with super models or clubbing. Roman only knew this much thanks to some old friends who had retired to Colorado.

Roman felt ashamed about that, he couldn't somehow be closer to Eric. Somehow time had past them by, and anytime Roman tried to get out to see Eric. It never got off the ground, somehow the little things just kept him form it. Over the last few years, Roman had come to the conclusion that Eric didn't want anyone from Salem in his life.

The proof was pretty clear, he never dropped anyone a line of any kind. Not once in over five years had Eric even called his mother to ask how she was. Eric had put up a shield physical and mental between him and the rest of his family. Not even Sami knew a whole lot about what went on in his life.

Roman sighed he had lost Eric years ago, he should be over it by now. Somehow he hadn't fully let it sink in until now. Eric was lost to him, as sad as it sounded he did not want him in his life. Roman knew that in the end that perhaps Eric was better off in Colorado. Away form all the drama that never stopped, in the sleepy little town.

Roman reached his left hand up and rubbed the sleep form his eyes. He had been working for so long, he was starting to shut down. His body wasn't that of a young man anymore, he was much older. Far too old to be pulling 48 hours non-stop anymore.

Cursing under his breath, Roman saved what he'd done to zip and shut down his computer. Slowly he walked to his bed and collapsed upon it. As sleep was starting to over take Roman, he prayed that somehow time would not pass him by with Rex and Cassie. Tony had Carrie's love and heart, he held Roman's first born in his hands. Roman was not about to let Tony hold his twins as well.
