Chapter 5: The Doctor Arrives At Torchwood
The Doctor’s mind hadn’t quite caught up with what was happening… no, he was still trying to process the fact that he’d lost Rose. Sure, she was fine, safe and secure in the alternate dimension where her father was still alive, but Rose had been the last connection he had to Jack, the only thing left over from the violent shift that occurred just before he had regenerated into his fifth form..
The Doctor had been there, in the remains of Torchwood One, staring at the wall where the portal had opened into the void, staring at the space he’d last seen Rose… and then he was surrounded by Soldiers. He’d expected to be shot or at least tossed around a bit, but instead the Soldiers were surprisingly polite, gently leading him into a plain black car with a Soldier driving and one riding shotgun as the Doctor silently sat in the back…
The Soldiers drove out of the center of London, towards a richer section of the city, with large homes and elegant gardens. The only information the Doctor could get out of the two soldiers in the car was that they were going to the house of a man named Harold Saxon, who was the Head of Torchwood.
Half of the Doctor’s mind expected to find a secret lab, where vile experiments were being conducted on aliens… but instead he was shown into an elegant home, decorated by someone with superior taste. The Soldiers left the Doctor alone in the living room… so the Doctor had sat down on one of the couches and fiddled with his sonic screwdriver to pass the time as he waited for something to happen.
Just as the Doctor was about to get up and start exploring the house, a door, different from the one which he’d entered through, opened and a little girl ran into the room. She had dark brown hair that had been pulled back into two adorable pigtails and was wearing a plain white t-shirt and dark blue jeans over bare feet.
The little girl closed the door behind her and looked around the room, before dashing towards the Doctor and hiding on the other side of a couch, so that the Doctor could see her but someone looking into the room couldn’t. The Doctor blinked in confusion and looked down at the little girl, who seemed to be struggling not to giggle. Before he could say anything, the door opened once more, and the Doctor turned to see a young man with short black hair enter the room. He seemed normal enough, or at least he seemed human, wearing light blue jeans and a white t-shirt that said ‘I reject your reality and substitute my own!’ on in in black letters.
The man winked at the Doctor and walked to the middle of the room, where he crossed his arms and tilted his head. “Now where did she go?” the man asked, which brought a giggle out of the little girl. “I know I saw her go in here…”
The Doctor smiled and fought the urge to laugh as the man pretended to look around the room for the girl… the Doctor guessed that the little girl was Harold Saxon’s daughter, and the man must be her nanny --- he’d heard of mothers getting male nannies because they wanted to be the only female figure in their child’s life. The Doctor fought back a laugh at the thought that maybe the real reason for a male nanny was because the wife wanted to sleep with the nanny instead of letting the husband have all the fun…
“Hi!” The Doctor was drawn out of his musing as he looked over and saw that the girl had stood up and was peering over the shoulder of the couch at him.
“Hello.” The Doctor smiled back at the girl. “I’m the Doctor, what’s your name?”
The little girl looked over at her nanny for a second before she climbed over the couch and scooted over towards the Doctor. She stared at him, her head tilted to one side like a confused puppy. “I’m Rachel,” she said as she looked down at the Doctor’s clothing, running a hand down the trench coat. “You’re really the Doctor?“
The Doctor blinked, surprised that the little girl would know of him, before nodding. Rachel gasped slightly, as if in joyful shock, and launched herself into the Doctor’s lap, hugging the man’s chest as she talked a mile a minute. The Doctor wouldn’t have thought much about the little girl’s actions… but Rachel was talking in Gallifreyan… and she was calling him ‘Daddy’.
The Doctor looked down at the little girl with wide eyes, before he looked over at the nanny in confusion as he struggled to form words. “Who is she? How…how does she know Gallifreyan?”
“My name is Ianto Jones,” the man sighed, running a hand through his hair. The Doctor blinked again as Rachel, who was still in his lap and still smiling, kissed his cheek. “I’m sort of an honorary uncle and babysitter… her name is Rachel Harkness.”
“Ha…Harkness?!?” The Doctor gasped in surprise and instantly he wrapped his arms around the little girl, holding her as close as he could. Rachel hugged him back as Ianto silently watched the two speak to each other in Gallifreyan, oblivious to Ianto’s presence.
Rachel rested her head on the Doctor’s shoulder, her eyes closing as the Doctor turned to Ianto, intent on finding out what Jack’s daughter was doing living in the home of the man who was in charge of Torchwood… but before the Doctor could say anything, the door opened once again and Rachel practically flew off his lap, racing towards the door as she started talking a mile a minute once again.
Two men had entered the room. One of them stepped forward to sweep Rachel up into his arms… and the Doctor found himself staring at Jack Harkness, who gently kissed his daughter’s cheek before turning to look at the Doctor, a smile filling his face.
“Jack.” the Doctor whispered, on his feet and moving to his mate’s side. “I felt you die… I felt the Daleks kill you!” Jack gently hugged the Doctor with his free arm, pulling Rachel into the hug.
“When Rose Tyler absorbed the Time Vortex, she brought him back to life… but she realized the reason why his death had affected you so badly and that’s why she made sure that you didn’t know he was still alive.”
The Doctor turned to look at the man in confusion, wanting to know how a stranger could know so much about him and his companions. He didn’t recognize the man, and instead looked back at Jack, who had set Rachel down to play with some toys that Ianto had apparently brought with him.
“But how did you end up here?” the Doctor asked. “And why are you living in the head of Torchwood’s house?”
“I had my wristband from when I was a Time Agent,” Jack replied, showing the Doctor the broken piece of technology. “It managed to get me to Torchwood One before it died… and I thought that wherever aliens are the Doctor is sure to follow.” The Doctor laughed at that, covering his mouth with one hand as Ianto and the strange man smiled at what appeared to be an often repeated joke. “Besides… we’re not really Torchwood…”
Before the Doctor could ask Jack what he meant he followed his mate’s gesture, which led his eyes to the man he didn’t know, the one he thought was Harold Saxon. The Doctor frowned in confusion as he looked at the man… it was as if he recognized him from somewhere. “Who… who are you?” the Doctor asked, taking a step closer to the “stranger”.
Slowly, as if afraid that the Doctor would vanish, the man reached out and gently cupped the Doctor’s cheek, a strange heat running through the Doctor’s body at the contact. “Doctor,” the man whispered, sending a shiver through the Doctor’s entire body. “Theta...
“No…” the Doctor whispered, his mouth falling open. “That’s impossible,” The Doctor's body shook as tears started to fall from his eyes. “Mas…Koschei?”
“Yes,” the Master replied, pulling his mate into his arms as the Doctor sobbed, Jack sitting down on the ground next to his daughter and softly explaining why her father was crying.
“You died!” the Doctor practically screamed, his tears wetting the Master’s shoulder. “You were dead, they wouldn’t give you a new cycle and… and then everyone died. I felt them burn! I felt them be torn through regeneration after regeneration until nothing was left but dust and echoes…”
“They brought me back to fight in the Time War,” the Master replied. “I heard their plan for how to end the war, and I tried to reach you… tried to take you with me, but it was too late. Until I met Jack I thought you were dead…I thought I was the only Time Lord left!”
“You’re Harold Saxon,” the Doctor realized, pulling back to look over at Jack, Ianto and Rachel. “You’ve been protecting Jack… and trying to find me.”
“Ever since I figured out that Jack was our mate,” the Master replied. “I delivered Rachel during the Christmas Invasion… otherwise we would have been chasing after you.”
Jack shivered slightly at the memory, causing the Doctor to look over at him. “Oh, yes, that’s the way to spend Christmas… screaming in pain and painting my bed sheets red with blood.” Seeing the horrified look on the Doctor’s face, Jack stood up and picked up Rachel, who wrapped her arms around Jack’s neck. “But the end result was Rachel, so it was worth it.”

In less than an hour, the Doctor found the TARDIS filled with his new family… the Master was in the control room inspecting the ship and suggesting how parts could be repaired, while Jack flirted with the ship to get a laugh out of the Doctor, as Ianto chased Rachel down the halls of the strange little ship.
The Doctor was almost as energetic as his daughter, especially when, upon seeing the ship for the first time, Ianto didn’t remark on how the ship was bigger on the inside. The Doctor laughed as he showed Ianto and his daughter around the ship, the Master and Jack following along in order to reacquaint themselves with the TARDIS.
The TARDIS was overjoyed to have Rachel and Ianto and made this clear to her newest ‘children’ by proudly showing off the rooms that she had constructed for the two… Rachel’s room, which was painted the same blue as the TARDIS’ outside, was small and cozy. The walls were covered in paintings for children from all over time and space, there was a huge selection of children’s books and the TARDIS had scattered toys all over the soft carpet, while hiding cameras so that the Doctor could check up on his daughter whenever he wanted to.
Ianto’s room was next to Rachel’s, across the hall from the Doctor’s. The entire room felt like it had been taken from a medieval castle, with walls of dark wood, a stone fireplace surrounded by book shelves and a bed fit for a king. Ianto had been struck speechless by the room, while Rachel laughed and jumped on the bed before begging Ianto to join her.
The TARDIS hadn’t even given the Master, Doctor and Jack a choice in the matter of their bedrooms. She’d taken the Doctor’s room and expanded on it, so that the room would be fit for the three mates. When the Doctor, the Master and Jack were looking at the room the TARDIS had locked the three in, leaving Ianto to laugh and put Rachel to bed in her new room.
The Doctor had blushed bright red when he realized that his ship had locked him and his mates in together. The Master, on the other hand simply glanced over at Jack for a second, before grabbing the Doctor by the back of his coat and kissing the Doctor deeply, stealing away the Time Lord’s breath.
Jack silently watched the two Time Lords kiss, smiling as the Master pushed the Doctor back towards the bed… soon the Doctor found himself lying on the bed, the Master on one side and Jack on the other. The Doctor whimpered in pleasure, his eyes closing as his hearts raced, unable to think due to the pleasure he was experiencing.
Jack silently slipped lower as the Master captured the Doctor’s lips again, drinking in the scream that the Doctor issued when Jack swallowed the Time Lord’s erection and sucked hard. The Doctor’s nails dug into the silk sheets as he vainly tried to thrust up into Jack’s talented mouth.
The Master smirked as he helped Jack hold their mate down, before he gently slipped into the Doctor’s mind, manipulating the other Time Lord so that the Doctor would feel every sensation, every touch form his mates twice as much as he normally would. The Doctor screamed as he was denied release by Jack’s talented fingers.
Quickly the Master grabbed the Doctor’s wrists and tied them to the bed frame before turning the Doctor on his side and lying behind him. “Please!” the Doctor whimpered, pleading with his lovers as Jack pulled back, letting out a small pop. The Doctor shivered as the Master slowly ran his fingers down the Doctor’s sweat soaked back, occasionally bending down to lick at his mate’s soft skin.
Just when the Doctor was ready to kill in order to get his mates to do something the Master’s fingers finally reached their destination.
“Best thing about Time Lords…” the Master whispered as he gently pushed down, drawing a whimper form the Doctor. “Multiple virginities.” Jack laughed as the Master stretched their lover, the Doctor’s eyes rolling back in his head, his entire body trying to push back on to those infernal fingers.
The Master drew back, catching Jack’s eyes over the Doctor’s shoulder as he thrust home, the Doctor sobbing in pleasure as the Master grabbed his hips so as to have better control of his thrusts. The Doctor’s eyes closed and his head fell back as one of the Master’s hands ran over his erection.
Suddenly the Doctor found Jack’s naked body pressed against his own, Jack’s lips kissing his as their erections were pressed together. The Doctor moaned and tugged at his bound arms, one leg wrapping over Jack’s waist so as to press them together. The Doctor sobbed in pleasure, sweat running down his body as the Master thrust into him and Jack thrust against him.
All the while the Master whispered in the Doctor’s ear and his mind, driving the Doctor higher and higher until it was all too much… as one, Jack and the Doctor screamed out their completion, followed shortly by the Master…
Almost as one the three passed out in each other’s arms, exhausted but completely satisfied.
