(Jeffrey wakes up, rubs his eyes and looks down at Morgan, who's still asleep. he leans in and kisses her forehead and brushes the hair off her forehead.Jeffrey sits back down, takes her hand and squeezes it. Bogg and Olivia come back with donuts and orange juice)
Bogg: Thought you might be hungry and thirsty, so we brought back something for you.
Jeffrey: Thanks.
(Jeffrey took the donut and the orange juice and sat back down, he eats it quickly, wiping his hands and face on the napkin. Jeffrey drinks down the juice.)
Olivia: Any change?
Jeffrey: No, she's still sleeping.
(The doctor comes back to talk to them)
Doctor: Excuse me, but the police are here, they want to ask the young man some questions.
Jeffrey: Bogg.
Bogg: It's ok Jeffrey.
(Jeffrey leaves with the doctor. Olivia and Bogg sit down to talk. The nurse comes in and checks on Morgan, she then turns to Olivia)
Nurse: Are you her mother?
Olivia: Yes.
(Olivia lied)
Nurse: I need you to fill out this information as soon as possible
(Olivia looks at the papers)
Bogg: Couldn't she do it later?
Nurse: Well we need the information for our records.
Olivia: Ok.
(Olivia takes the papers and then watches as the nurse leaves, she turns to Bogg)
Olivia: As soon as Morgan is well enough to travel, I think we need to get out of here.
Bogg: In the meantime, don't fill out the information, I'll be right back.
(Bogg leaves and Olivia sets the papers down and leans over, she carefully takes Morgan's hand and gently squeezes it.)
Olivia: It's me Olivia, I just wanted to say that I love you and I want you to get better as soon as you can, we have so much work to do and I need your help with it. You're the best thing that ever happened to me Morgan. Please don't leave me, Olivia wipes a tear from her cheek and then looks down when her hand is gently squeezed.)
Olivia: I knew you could hear me kid.
Morgan: Don't call me kid.
(Morgan whispered and opened her eyes, turning her head she looked at Olivia.)
Olivia: Old habits..
Morgan: Die hard, I know.
(Olivia gently reaches over and hugs Morgan)
Morgan: Ow, ow ow.
Olivia: Sorry.
Morgan: It's ok.
Olivia: How ya feeling?
Morgan: Like I got hit by a truck?
Olivia: They operated on you, they took out the bullet in your shoulder, you were very lucky.
Morgan: Drake, did you find him yet?
Olivia: No, but he isn't going anywhere without his omni, that was smart of you to grab it.
Morgan: Jeffrey told me about the trial and how Drake escaped and I didn't want him to escape so easily like before.
(Bogg comes back with Jeffrey, Jeffrey rushes to the other side of the bed and sits down in a chair.)
Morgan: Hi Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: Thank heavens, you're ok.
(Jeffrey leans in and gently hugs Morgan)
Morgan: Ow, ow ow.
Jeffrey: Sorry.
Morgan: It's ok.
Bogg: I'm glad you're ok Morgan.
Morgan: Thanks Bogg.
Bogg: So what did you tell the police Jeffrey?
Jeffrey: Just that a guy tried to rob us and that we tried to stop him and that he was on the loose.
Morgan: Good, the less they know the better.
Olivia: I have a feeling Drake is going to try to get information about where you are, so I took the liberty of informing the police that the robber might come back, so they have a guard by the door outside.
(Morgan grabs the remote for the bed and pushes the button, the bed moves so she's in a semi sitting position. A pain look is on her face.)
Olivia: Are you ok?
Morgan: Yeah, it just hurts a little when I move.
Jeffrey: It will for awhile.
(The doctor comes in)
Doctor: How are you feeling Morgan?
Morgan: Ok, just hurts when I move.
Doctor: Everything is looking good.
Morgan: I hate hospitals.
Doctor: Tomorrow if you want, you can go outside for awhile in a wheelchair.
Morgan: Thanks.
Doctor: I just need to talk to your mother for a minute.
(Olivia and the doctor step outside, the doctor takes her to his office.)
Doctor: I just wanted to let you know that the police are looking for the person who did this.
Olivia: Good.
Doctor: She was a very lucky young lady, it could of been worse.
Olivia: How long will she have to stay in the hospital?
Doctor: For at least 2 more weeks if everything goes well with her progress and to be sure the wound is healing like it's suppose to.
Olivia: Not anytime sooner?
Doctor: Are you in a hurry to leave?
Olivia: No, it's just that we're on a schedule, since we're on vacation and we have other places we wanted to see before we head back home.
(Olivia lied to the doctor)
Doctor: Well I'm sure you'll be able to do it after Morgan gets better, right now she needs to rest and take it easy, she had a close call.
Olivia: I'm just glad she's ok.
Doctor: Usually I don't like having the police in my hospital, but in this case, I'm going to allow it.
Olivia: Thank you doctor, it's just for her protection.
Doctor: I understand.
(The doctor stands up)
Doctor: I'll let you get back to your daughter now.
Olivia: Thanks for everything.
Doctor: Just doing my job.
(Olivia leaves and heads back to Morgan's room, she doesn't notice the figure hiding behind something. Olivia comes back)
Morgan: So what did the doctor want?
Olivia: He just told me that you will have to stay here for 2 more weeks.
Morgan: Ugh.
Olivia: Just until it's completely healed, he said you were really lucky this time.
Morgan: I hate this place, I want to go.
Olivia: Not until the doctor says it's ok, I don't want to take a chance of you injuring yourself on a landing.
Jeffrey: Olivia's right Morgan.
Morgan: Who asked you?
(Morgan playfully hits Jeffrey in the arm)
Bogg: What is that thing?
(Bogg points to the tv)
Jeffrey: It's called a television, you watch it.
Bogg: Oh.
(Jeffrey gets up and turns on the tv.Jeffrey touches Morgan's arm when the news comes on about the shooting at the hotel)
Announcer: An unidentified man open fire on two teenagers staying at nearby hotel by The Cavern in Liverpool, England. One teenager was wounded and taken to the hospital, listed in fair condition, the other teenager was unharmed. Details of the shooting are still sketchy and robbery is to be believed to be the motive.
(Jeffrey gets back up and turns off the tv, he sits back down next to Morgan)
Olivia: This is not good.
Morgan: At least they didn't release our names.
Jeffrey: It's all Drake's fault, that creep.
Bogg: He's gonna be back for his omni, that's why I'm holding onto it.
Morgan: Yeah, but he doesn't know you have it.
Bogg: That's why we have the guard outside of your room.
Jeffrey: Bogg is it ok if I stay here the night?
Olivia: I'm sure we can get a cot in here for you, Bogg and I have to talk.
Morgan: Ok.
(Bogg and Olivia leave. Drake follows Olivia and Bogg)
Morgan: I really hate hospitals Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: So do I.
Morgan: I'm glad you're here.
Jeffrey: I can't believe Drake is here, I mean if he's here, that means he's probably gonna mess up history, something he enjoys doing.
Morgan: But what?
Jeffrey: I don't know, but whatever it is, we're gonna have to find out.
Morgan: How, I'm stuck in here.
Jeffrey: But I'm not.
Morgan: That's what I'm afraid of.
Jeffrey: Don't worry, I'll think of something, besides the doctor said you can go outside tomorrow.
Morgan: Yeah, in a wheelchair.
(Morgan winced in pain when she moved the bed alittle bit higher so she was in a sitting position.)
Jeffrey: You ok?
Morgan: Yeah.
(The nurse comes in)
Nurse: Time for your pain medication.
Morgan: I don't want it, it makes me sleep.
Nurse: Doctor's orders.
(The nurse holds out the cup with the two blue pills in it and a glass of water. Morgan takes the cup and water, she puts the pills in her mouth and then drinks the water, she hands the nurse the cup and glass.)
Jeffrey: Could we get a cot in here?
Nurse: Sure.
(The nurse leaves, Morgan watches as the nurse leaves.)
Morgan: Please don't leave me.
(Morgan reaches and grabs Jeffrey's wrist tightly)
Jeffrey: I'm not going to leave you, I promise.
(It doesn't take long for the pills to start working)
Morgan: Jeffrey?
Jeffrey: Yes.
Morgan: I love you.
(Jeffrey carefully takes Morgan's hand and puts it back by her side)
Jeffrey: I love you too.
(The nurse comes in with a cot, Jeffrey pulls the chair from the bed and helps the nurse set it up, so it's right next to Morgan's hospital bed, the nurse hands Jeffrey a pillow and blanket)
Jeffrey: Thanks.
(The nurse leaves and Jeffrey lays down on the cot, he lays on his side, so he can take Morgan's hand, he squeezes it gently and then listens to her steady breathing.)
