Chapter 5

Recovery and a wedding

"Vincent" said catherine
"Yes, my love" He answered sleepily

"I've been thinking about things especially us, I love waking up with you, being with you, making love to you. I know that it's probably too soon to be thinking about this"

"About what catherine?" he asked curiously

"I don't want waste another moment" Vincent's heart stopped for a moment "I want to marry you" Vincent let out the breath he had been holding "catherine" he said lovingly

"No, vincent, if we have learnt anything by this, then I know right now more than ever this is the only path I have ever been given." catherine said gazing at him

He put a finger to her lips and then wrapped his arms around her, "Catherine, I am so in love with you, before you I was a lonely and afraid, afraid I would never find Love with a woman as exceptional as you. You are my life, my soul, my heart. If you die I die." he whispered as tears came down his cheeks

"I want to be your husband as well" he paused "I want to marry you"

Catherine embraced him and kissed him passionately, little did they know there was a nurse watching them who had heard their conversation from the desk in the hall.

She left them alone and as she walked back to the station desk she sat down crying, never had she seen such devotion or love.

When Vincent left her, he left her with hopes and promises that they would be joined in a ceremony by father.

As he walked to his bed chamber, father caught up with him, "Vincent, how is catherine?" questioned Jacob

Vincent hugged father in tears and Jacob assumed the worst.

"Vincent, no please no, don't tell me she's died" vincent looked at jacob who started crying into his shirt. He was amazed

"Father, father" Jacob looked at him and saw the grin on his face "Catherine is as peter said....recovering" Jacob got control of his emotions and let go of vincent

"In fact we are not going to waste any more time, we have decided to be joined in a wedding ceremony if you would care to officiate that for us." said vincent

"Oh....well....yes, I would be honoured, my son" he blushed with shame for thinking the worst.

they hugged again and vincent returned to his bed for some rest before the organization of his wedding begun.

The next day Catherine got a surprise visit from mary, the matriarch of the tunnel community.

"Catherine, my dear, how are you?" asked mary

"In a complete fluster, to be honest, how are vincent and I supposed to organise a wedding in a week" said catherine nervously

"Oh my dear girl, you will have nothing to worry about. William has already started making you a beautiful wedding cake. You have the whole of the community behind you, remember when you were in a depression about the anniversary of your mother's death." Catherine nodded

"We all prayed for you to come out of it and you did, it made you a stronger person, a shining light to fill our souls with warmth."

"I want you to start thinking about a wedding dress because Jamie and I are going to make you the wedding dress of your dreams" catherine threw her arms around mary in tears and thanked her.

"You are checking out today aren't you" asked mary chuckling

"Yes, I need some rest before I walk around new york looking for material, I thought I might recover better if I converlesed below." said catherine

"Miss chandler" said the doctor as he walked into her room
"Doctor, May I discharge myself, I would like to recover at home?"

"I'm not making any promises but we will see, let's take a look at your wound shall we?" he pulled of the bandage slowly and was shocked to see how well it had healed."

"Miss chandler, your wound is healing quicker than we thought." Even mary was amazed

"It must be the healing love brings doctor" she flushed

"Nurse, make miss chandler's visitor a cup of tea while we dig out a self-discharge form for this lady to sign" and the doctor wished catherine well with her life.
"Thank you, doctor" said catherine

A while later the nurse came through with the form and a herbal tea for mary.

"I just want to say congratulations on your engagement miss chandler" mary and catherine both froze

"What are you talking about?" asked catherine

"Oh....oh, ddon't worry about me, I had a very long night."

The nurse ran out before catherine could question her further

"Come on, let's get you packed my dear, I shall call a cab for central park."

Catherine dressed and mary packed her small bag

They were waiting outside with the nurse who had embarassed catherine earlier

"Ok, missy, where to?" asked the cabbie

"Central park, please" said mary

They arrived at central park and were met by vincent in the tunnels

Catherine rushed into his arms like she hadn't seen him in a million years

He feverishly kissed her neck and mouth at which mary blushed

"I'll walk on ahead and find father" she said quickly

Vincent scooped catherine in his arms and carried her to father's library. Jacob hobbled up to her and hugged her tightly with tears in his eyes

"Father, why are you crying, I am here and alive. And I so happy you are supportive of us, it means the world to vincent and I" Jacob got control of his emotions
and finally spoke "I was afraid that you would die, I was so afraid for vincent as well, I don't think he could stand it if the worst had happened. Let's just say I am happy that he found love with a generous, giving, loving person such as you. You gave him everything selflessly and if it weren't for you, I was worried a few years ago that he was doomed to spend an eternity alone." said Jacob with admiration for her strength and Love

"I love you and vincent both, it would be a great honour to receive you as a daughter" catherine smiled at the changes vincent's and her love had bought to father.

"Anyway Im famished and I miss the children so" said catherine

Vincent aquiesced with a loving smile as he put his arms around her and led her to see the children that adored her

"Catherine!" cried little cathy and maria "Oh, we prayed last night that you would be ok" as they ran into her arms

"Children, children." said vincent loudly "Since you were not able to perform your poetry evening, last night, Catherine has come to hear your poems tonight at 8pm"

"Yeeeeeeeah" all the the children cried together

Catherine laughed with tears running down her cheeks and Vincent could tell she was very happy.

"Goodbye, children see you tonight" said catherine as the children went back to playing.

Vincent and catherine walked back to his bed chamber and lay on his bed after vincent dropped the tapestry

"Oh, my sweet catherine, I felt so empty without you this morning" said vincent sighing with contentment

"Vincent, I have thought about nothing else but you since you left this morning and it made me come to decision"

"catherine" but she put a finger to his lips to stop him

"I can think of no other solution than to move below, that would be my wish come true, It's what you said that made me think, about feeling empty in here without me" and she placed her hand joined with his over her heart.

"Catherine" he choked up "How can you be so selfless?" she replied

"It's easy, I love with you all my heart and soul" she looked him straight in the eye. "You are my life, there is no other choice for me" she finished

Vincent pulled her on top so she was straddling him and hugged her fiercely

She was delighted with the response of his body and started to undo the laces of his tunic as he held his breath. He took her off his responding hardness and relieved himself of the obstacles that were in the way of skin caressing skin. He gazed lovingly at her as she blushed with overwhelming desire. Vincent shoved off her shirt and she
undid her bra. They both knew their call for desire and love needed to sated. As Catherine stepped out of her skirt, Vincent let out the breath he had been holding.
To him, she was a heavenly angel whom had been sent down to love him. To save him from an eternity of loneliness.

Vincent let out a low growl as catherine began touching his chest and moved closer to nuzzle his neck and ears. He put his hands on her behind and slowly tickled her with his claws as he became more aroused by the second. He caught her lips in a searing kiss and his tongue demanded entrance to her mouth as he pulled her tightly to him. Catherine gasped as his small movements provoked the spark in her belly to begin building to that higher crescendo. He entered one claw into her wet warm tight center and gently kissed her breasts.

"Ooooh my......Oh my gods, Vincent" He smiled as she released her hot juices onto his very talented but careful clawed hands. As she came down from her bliss, he pulled her onto his ever hardening, demanding length. they both gasped as he filled her to the brink. He stared at her lovingly never breaking eye contact as he lifted her and bought her down again and again. Harder and faster they moved together until there was a single moment their hearts matched each others rhythm.
They both reached to dizzy heights of pleasure and ecstasy until vincent moaned and buried his face into her neck. Feeling each other's love they came together
Catherine groaned out her release as she felt that familiar tightening, a pulse that brought her over the edge of the precipice with vincent.

They were both panting as vincent layed on his bed to recover. He pulled her to him and kissed her forehead and then they both broke out in laughter.

Just when his timing could not get any worse, Jacob pulled back the tapestry and put it back again quickly after he oggled the sight blushing "Oh, Im so sorry" he gulped

"Father!" said catherine and vincent together.

"No... no, I'll come back later when you two are decent" said jacob walking very quickly.

They both laughed again at the look on jacobs face. It was a true picture
