Good Mornings
Colonel Carter was ranting in the briefing room about a mythical machine that could bring great fortune and help defeating the Ori. Doctor Daniel was backing up her technological babble with the knowledge of legends.
“We have a reason to believe that the immortal blacksmith Ilmarinen was an Ancient. A great inventor and scientist actually,” said Doctor Jackson and showed some slides on the screen to illustrate his hypothesis. “I dare say he was the one to built Stargates or at least designed them. Among other things he forged a device called Sampo that brought riches and good fortune to its holder. Although it is said in the Kalevala that Sampo was some kind of mill but no one actually knows what Sampo looks like. There are different interpretations of the essence of Sampo but the same old attributes – good fortune and riches – are still connected to it.”
“Really?” asked General Landry with little interest.
“Can you imagine what a great weapon it might be?!” asked Colonel Carter. “It’s like a wishing well.”
Doctor Jackson went on about telling Sampo when Major Mirkwood stepped up from stairs and entered the briefing room. She cast one look on the screen and then turned to look at General.
“Did Jackson tell you about Louhi?” she asked calmly. General Landry looked at the archeologist who started to fidget.
“Yes, about that…” he started.
“And that Sampo was smashed and lost at sea?”
“Um, I was about to get to there…”
“Make sure to tell about it to General,” ordered Major Mirkwood and left.

Sheppard woke up slowly and felt some weight on him. In the morning light he opened his eyes and saw Mirkwood curled around him. She was still asleep. Her skin was warm against his and Sheppard smiled.
She looked so calm and relaxed like she belonged there, next to him, draped over him… with him. Tenderly he stroked his fingers through her long hair that tickled his chest. She only used him as a pillow but he didn’t care. He only wanted to be near her.
Few moments later Mirkwood woke up and before opening her incredibly blue eyes, she stretched herself out all the way. Her hands brushed past Sheppard’s head while her chest rubbed deliciously against him. He swallowed a grown.
Mirkwood opened her eyes and looked directly at Sheppard. No emotions ran over her face as she sat up and crawled out of bed. Sheppard watched her walk into bathroom and then closed his eyes. The scent of her still lingered in the air and drove him out of bed.

Major Mirkwood sat on the lakeshore next to General O’Neill and watched him fishing. He really never caught any fish but it was the thought that counted.
“Did you know that Jackson is planning to go after Sampo?” asked Mirkwood.
“No, not really but I have always figured he’d go hunting for some piece of crap that myths are full of,” said O’Neill and took a sip from the bottle of beer.
“Just like that Merlin’s little toy?” asked Mirkwood and stretched herself out on the grass. O’Neill kept his eyes on the lake in case if he got something on the hook but mainly for not to stare at her figure.
“Yeah, just like that,” he drawled.
“You know that when I met my father for the last time, he told me about Sampo,” said Mirkwood and looked up into the sky.
“I figured that much. If I have learned anything from Jackson then it’s taking myths literally. I even read through the whole damn epic. Well, some of it. Only the best part,” informed O’Neill with a proud note.
“Why?” asked Mirkwood and turned to look at General.
“What do you mean?”
“Why did you had to find out about Ilmarinen?”
“Aa. That. Well, I…” O’Neill ripped his gaze off of the water and looked at Mirkwood. “I got bored and so I selected out one very beau… Um, er… Well, I sorta happened to stumble on some old archives and… No, not that old! Um… Oh for crying out loud! I just wanted to know who you were!”
Mirkwood just stared at him and then it hit her.
“Oh my god. I totally forgot that you are a natural ATA-gene carrier,” she said and shook her head in disbelief. “It’s just about genes. Didn’t Thor ever tell you about what this… this evolutional step in you could do? No? It seems to work like a damn magnet!”
“Ah, well, he left that part out,” said O’Neill and stared at Mirkwood.
“I gotta go,” she announced suddenly when she noticed the look in his eyes.

Sheppard stepped into the bathroom and stared the foggy glass. Behind it he heard the water splashing over the body he had just held against him. He wanted to open the door and join her but was afraid of her reaction. She was unpredictable. Always managing to be cold blooded, ruthless and distant.
And he knew why. She had found out that her blood heritance draw men with ATA-genes and for her it was a false lust made by chemicals reacting in a male brain. It was just a burden for her because she never knew if the love was for real or not.
“Get here before the hot water runs cold!” came an order that snapped Sheppard into reality. He quickly discarded his black boxers and stepped inside the shower stall. Inside the moist vapor and hot water he barely saw her figure. She was washing her long hair and the lightly pink foam covered partially her pale body.
Sheppard found she wasn’t modest at all, only her frozen heart allowed assuming that. She wasn’t ashamed, when she was naked under the shower next to a man who was ogling her like some crazy.
Mirkwood rinsed the shampoo out of her hair and started to apply conditioner. She was so focused on her hair that she even didn’t notice how hard Sheppard got when all her movements put her breasts into luxurious motion.
“God,” whispered Sheppard and clenched his jaws, “Do you have to do that?”
“What?” asked Mirkwood and looked up with an innocent look.
“This. This all is driving me mad,” he hissed and considered turning the water cold. Mirkwood was still looking at him and tried to understand his problem. Finally she rinsed her hair for the last time and told he can have the stall all for himself.
“See you at the Mess Hall!” called Sheppard as Mirkwood left the bathroom and started to jerk off.
