A Cousin's Heart To Heart

Chapter 4: A Cousin's Heart To Heart

*Oh God, Kill Me. Punish me for this sin!* Jacen thought as he watched Lois get comforted by Jimmy's friends, including the one who had been Jimmy's first girlfriend, Chloe Anne Sullivan, who, if Jacen had heard correctly from Lois, was now having those hot and heavy nights with Clark Kent. It didn't take him long to figure out that was Kara's cousin. Before anyone could speak, another doctor entered the room... if the others had interest for this doctor, they would think he was a shady one...

"I'm afraid there has been a mishap. Sir Solo wasn't supposed to be assigned this room." The doctor spoke up, but the others weren't listening; they were too concerned about Lois... so they didn't watch Jacen Solo's hospital bed be rolled away from the room and brought down the hall into another room. There the doctor smiled up at Jacen and gave him a note. On that note was written 'Meet me at the Daily Planet roof. Lex' Jacen looked up at the doctor. "I can just go?" He queried to which he received a nod. So Jacen pulled away the sheets and stepped out. "Well, will do that immediately." Jacen said and left the hospital.

"Clark? There's something I wanted to ask you..." Kara said, eyeing everyone in the room, and also Lois. Her eyes rested a little bit longer on Lois than had been intended...

before they returned to Clark again. "Would you like me to get you some coffee, Lois?" Chloe asked. A groan. "PLEASE, anything BUT coffee! He had spiked my coffee! A coke or anything else is fine!" Lois said, as she rested her head against the pillows.

So all three left Lois's hospital room, Chloe to get a drink for her cousin from the vending machine and the Kryptonian cousins to sit down in the waiting room, which was miraculously empty.

"Kara, what did you want to talk about?" Clark asked gently, placing an arm around her shoulder. For a long time Kara didn't speak up. After a little while, did Kara Zor-El's eyes meet her cousin's. "I still can't believe I hurt Lois so much back when I was still searching for you... I didn't even visit her in the hospital.." Kara started, but was interrupted by her cousin. "You're here now, Kara." Kara got tears in her eyes. "And what happened then? She and Lex tracked me down in Detroit and that resulted in Lois ending up in that cage with me!" Kara said wrapping her arms around her cousin. "Clark... there's something that I have been wanting to ask you for so long, but I couldn't."

Meanwhile Lois had gotten her coke from dear ole cousin Chloe. Chloe had seen her lover with his cousin but had decided not to butt in, even though she had a reporter's nose she figured she wasn't going to pry.

"And what is that, Kara?" Clark asked again gently. Kara dried her tears with the tips of her fingers and looked at Clark. "I am in love with Lois. I've been fantasizing about her. She had caught me last night in my bed... I thought she wasn't there, but I was wrong." Kara confessed. One huge stare from her cousin later, almost sure his eyes were going to fall out, did Clark speak again. At least she's not fantasizing about you, Clark. Clark thought, not a grin on his face or even a hint of sadness. Having feelings for cousins wasn't a thing that was allowed on Earth, and Clark was okay with that.

"Well... it's better than being in love with your cousin." Clark chuckled, then recomposed himself. "Not that I am in love with you, although you're really beautiful, Kara, don't get me wrong." Kara grinned and gave Clark a hug. "Chloe's beautiful too, she's a great match for you, considering she pleaded with Jor-El to give me my memory back and told him about how much she loves you. But you never really answered my question." Kara said.

"Well, a girl-girl relationship is allowed here, so if you really love her, I'd say go for it. Just don't let a cruel person such as Lex find out that you love her. Who knows what he will do when he finds out?" Clark asked. Kara smiled and hugged her cousin again. "Thanks, cousin. The only thing is... that Lois doesn't know it yet. And I am afraid of her reaction." Kara confessed.

That earned Kara another hug from her cousin. "It's alright, Kara, give her some time before you tell her. She's just been through a horrific ordeal." Kara was told by her cousin. She got up from the seat she had been sitting in and walked back with Clark to the hospital room...

"Mr Luthor! I came as soon as I got your message! May I let you know how sorry I am for..." WHAM! A slap in the face! Jacen Solo had driven all the way toward Metropolis to meet up with his boss at the roof of the Daily Planet and the first thing he got was a slap in his face! "Idiot! I know you like Lois Lane... but did you really have to go that far?" Lex asked as he watched Jacen fall to the ground. He didn't offer a hand instead he stepped back a few steps.

"Sir, please let me explain!" Jacen said as he tried to get up, but then Lex had pulled a gun on him, which gave Jacen the idea it was better to lay down unmoving on the floor. "Raping Miss Lane wasn't the assignment, Mr. Jacen Solo, so I am sorry to say that you're fired...." A cruel smile lit Lex Luthor's lips. The gun went off several times more than once.

Lex's assistent, Gina, was there to pick up the pieces.... or say, wrap the bloody body into a body bag and discreetly dispose of the body...
