I do not own Smallville or any of its amazing characters.
Summary: Kal fell in a crash of booming thunder and hisses of lightning but he was not the only being to fall from the heavens on that night. This takes place at around and about the beginning of Season Four.
Chapter Four
Lois opened her eyes and sat up in Clark’s bed to squint in the early morning light. It had been kind of the Kent’s to just take her in like this, but then again she did find their crazy son. She kept thinking about what all Clark had said yesterday and decided to do something crazy as if that was anything new.
She quickly got up out of the bed and got dressed. She very quietly made her way downstairs seeing as how none of the Kent’s were awake yet and saw Clark curled up on the couch half naked. His covers were pulled up over his waistline and he had a sculpted arm thrown over his eyes. He seemed to be sleeping like a baby until she heard him whimper from either fear or sadness.
She froze when he suddenly turned over on his back which sent the covers to the floor. She very carefully made her way over and placed the covers back on him before making her way out the front door.
The sun was turning the sky a bright pink as she walked across the gravel to the barn. She stepped inside and smiled happily. There was a shovel leaning up against the wall just begging to be borrowed.

Lionel was standing in the shower enjoying how the hot water was soothing his cold bones and stiff muscles. All of his plans were working out just perfectly. He was then properly shanked and fell flat on his back in agony. He simply loved it when everything went according to plan. Now if that boy would just kill that insufferable Chloe Sullivan like a good little meteor freak.

The room was dark and one by one, candles were lightning all on their own around the chamber. A beautiful canopy bed came into view and green eyes widened at how lovely it was.
Flowing black silk fanned and billowed from the canopy in a gentle breeze that was coming from nowhere. The closer he got the more the silk would blow to the side to reveal a form lying upon the silken sheets.
Clark looked up to see that the room was now circular with spiraling pillars floating in the darkness of space. A bright silver moon was glowing down from overhead as stars burned all around the floating room.
The black silk turned out to be a shimmering violet color as it was gently swept away by the warm night air. His breath caught in his throat at seeing the beautiful creature lying upon the bed in slumber.
His face was beautifully sculpted and perfectly proportioned. His skin was like polished alabaster and his hair was like the sparkling onyx in the moonlight. Those plump full lips were red as blood and looked so moist and sweeter than a rose.
The beautiful young man stirred in his sleep and his long dark lashes were lovely. Gently he opened his eyes and intense violet met electric green.
Clark was looking down into those violet depths and the man’s voice was so warm and bright that it made his heart sing out in joy. A luminous white hand reached up and cupped a golden cheek tenderly, “Kal.”

Clark quickly sat up on the couch with green eyes wet with tears. He felt so warm and happy in his dreams and now he was feeling cold and alone once more. He could not even remember what or who he was dreaming of but it brought him such comfort.
He lay back down and curled up with the covers pulled under his chin. If only he could feel as warm as he did in that dream. There had been a color but he could not remember what.
88888888888888888888888888888888888
Glowing violet eyes gently opened and looked down at a luminous white hand. Rose red lips formed a perfect smile that at one time could have sat stars ablaze with fiery glory. Loth rolled over on his bed hiding the tears of joy. His Kal was so close he could feel him.

If she had known it was going to take this long and be this backbreaking she would have brought help. Who knew that digging up a grave was hard work? The movies made it look so damn easy. She felt as though her arms were going to fall off. This was so not fair.
Just when she was about to call it quits her shovel made a clanking noise and she threw the shovel to the side smiling. She closed her eyes for a moment and then made up her mind. She was going to do this.
“I hope Green Eyes is right,” she said in an almost prayer like fashion, “Otherwise this is going to be really gross Chloe.”
She closed her eyes and counted to three. When she reached three she pulled open the lid and looked down to let out a scream.
“Oh my god,” she cried, “He was fucking right!”
She started laughing and wiped the tears of relief from her eyes. She stood up smiling only to cringe when she heard some one yell, “Hey!”
She spun around to see a shady character in the distance and quickly climbed up out of the grave to grab her pepper spray from her bag. She was not the kind of person who did not always come prepared in case of trouble and this guy looked like trouble.
“Can I help you,” she asked only for the guy to suddenly raise his arm up over his head. Her eyes widened in shock because this bitches arm grew into a fucking sword.
He swung down and she jumped to the side for his arm to slice an angel in two. She rolled over and let loose with the pepper spray. He cried out in pain only to be smacked across the back of the head with the shovel she had been using earlier. He took off running blindly to just disappear.
“Take that you pansy,” Lois shouted while getting to her feet smiling at the young woman who was helping her up.
“Thanks,” she said looking at where he had taken off.
“No problem,” the young lady said looking at Chloe’s grave in sadness and rage, “What kind of sick bastard digs up a grave?”
Lois cringed and turned back to look at her, “That would be me,” she said and held out her hand, “Lois Lane.”
The olive eyed girl narrowed her eyes slightly wondering why the name was ringing a very loud bell, “Lana Lang.”
88888888888888888888888888888888888888
Clark was still getting worried and upset looks from his parents while he was doing his chores. How was he supposed to know that shooting a helicopter out of the sky was bad? Those people were trying to hurt him and Lois. His parents never even would have found out if Lois hadn’t snuck in on him in the shower. She really does have a big mouth.
His parents were happy that Chloe might still be alive but he could have exposed himself. He told them that he was careful and that no one saw, but they were still worried.
He walked over to look at the tractor when a red vehicle pulled up into the drive and he saw Lois get out followed by a very pretty girl. Was this Lana? She looked so different.
“Lois,” Clark asked and then looked at her appearance with a frown, “Why are you muddy?”
“Digging,” she said with a grin, “And fought off Edward Scissorhands with Lana’s help.”
“Hi Clark,” Lana said with a smile. Lois had told her that he was suffering from amnesia so this was making talking to him easier.
“Hi,” he said smiling at her and then back at Lois, “Edward who?”
“Never mind,” Lois said throwing the shovel onto the wood pile, “I need a shower.”
“Okay,” he said watching her go inside and turned when Lana coughed.
“Sorry,” he said with an apologetic smile, “I don’t…”
“I know,” she said walking up to hug him, “I’m just glad that you’re okay.”
“What happened,” Clark asked while hugging the very tiny girl, “And why did you have to fight Edward?”
Lana couldn’t help it. She had to laugh. He looked so cute when he was lost and confused. Those green eyes narrowed in hurt and she sobered quickly.
“I’m sorry,” she said, “This is just new for me.”
“Apparently for me to,” he said really liking how pretty her hair looked, “What happened?”
“I went to go see Chloe’s grave,” she said looking up at him, “When I found Lois being attacked by some man who had a sword for an arm. We fought him off and that was when I saw that Chloe’s grave had been dug up and was empty.”
“You’re so tiny,” Clark said with green eyes looking over her intensely, “How did you?”
“I gave him a good smack with your shovel,” she said smiling at the concern in his voice. Here was her friend. He thought she was tiny, how cute.
“If Chloe’s alive,” Lana said looking up at him again, “I want to help.”
“It’ll be dangerous Lana,” Clark said thinking back to how those men attacked him and Lois yesterday at Chloe’s safe house, “I don’t want you to get hurt. Apparently we are already making somebody nervous.”
“Okay,” she said feeling a little left out but she did have something else to take care of, “I’ll see you later then.”
“Yeah,” he said and watched her get back in her car and drive off. He stood there and turned to walk back up to the house.
8888888888888888888888888888888888888888
Lana realized that she was crying and pulled off at the side of the road. She was not in the mood to run off the road and ruin another vehicle. Clark had been the reason she had left Smallville and now he did not even remember who she was or anything that had happened. It was not his fault. He didn’t know that she had caught him making out with Lex in the loft.
88888888888888888888888888888888888888888
Later that night Clark was in the loft doing research with Lois when a weird noise came from outside the window. The two got up to see that it was the helicopter again.
“Damn,” Lois hissed and grabbed Clark’s arm, “Let’s go!”
The two of them ran over to the steps to stop when they saw a man walking up them with a very pissed off expression on his face.
“Shit,” Lois said under her breath and Clark didn’t know what to do when she said, “Hello daddy.”
888888888888888888888888888888888888888888
Clark was sitting at the table waving his hand in front of his face because of the nasty cigar smoke. The general was just as loud as Lois and she was very red in the face. He really liked hearing the stories of her childhood. It was giving him some ammo to use later if she picked on him.
“Dinner was wonderful Mrs. Kent,” General Lane said with a big smile.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it,” she said while cleaning up the plates, “Would you care for some more coffee?”
“No,” he said pleasantly, “No thank you Mrs. Kent. Lois and I really need to be going.”
“Excuse me,” Lois said with her hands on her hips looking at him with narrowed eyes, “I’m not going anywhere until I find Chloe.”
“Lois,” General Lane said calmly, “Enough is enough. You’re in some serious trouble young lady.”
Lois rolled her eyes. She knew how to get her way.
“But daddy,” she whined.
“Lois,” he snapped with some more bite, “Time to go home.”
“Damn,” she hissed and made her way over to hug Clark but not without whispering, “This is about Chloe. Go talk to Lex Luthor.”
Clark pretended to hug her back and watched the two of them leave while waving with his folks. Would he even be able to talk to Lex Luthor. He seemed like a very important man. Why would he have the time to talk to a farmboy like him?
“Mom,” Clark asked.
“Yes,” she said while Jonathan closed the door, “What is it sweetheart?”
“Who is Lex?”
Jonathan’s face got really red. There was one name he wished his son would forget.
8888888888888888888888888888888888888888
“Shit,” Lois hissed furiously because she forgot that Clark had no idea who the hell Lex Luthor was anymore.
“Watch your mouth young lady,” General Lane said while driving the hummer.
“Sorry,” she said and then mentally screamed with a volcano exploding in the background, “SHIT!”
88888888888888888888888888888888888888888
The next morning in a cloud of dust and a small whirlwind of leaves Clark stood outside the gates to the Luthor mansion. His eyes were wide as he took in how big the place was. Did he really know the person who lived here?
His mom told him lots of good things about Lex and his dad told him all the bad. He just stood there looking at the mansion through the gates when a voice asked, “Yes?”
He looked around with a little panic and the voice said, “Push the green button to talk please.”
He looked at the keypad and pushed the little green button, “I need to see Lex Luthor please.”
“And what is your name,” the voice asked.
“Clark Kent,” he said nervously.
“Just one moment Mr. Kent,” the voice said and Clark actually jumped back when the gates began to open.
“Please come on in,” the voice said.
Clark pushed the button, “Thank you.”
He walked through the gates and up the driveway to the first door that he saw. He was about to knock when it suddenly swung open to reveal a handsome bald young man with icy blue eyes.
Clark gulped from the intense gaze he was receiving, “I’m here to see Lex.”
Icy blue orbs narrowed and a delicate eyebrow was raised, “Clark?”
“Yes,” he said feeling very awkward under that gaze. Did he have something on his face? Maybe this was a bad idea.
“Cute,” Lex said with a frown and then asked, “What do you want?”
“I told you,” Clark said starting to wonder if the man had a hearing problem, “I’m here to see Lex.”
“What are you doing Clark,” Lex asked starting to get pissed, “Do you think this is funny?”
“I’m sorry,” Clark said wondering why this guy was holding him up, “The voice at the gate said I could see Lex.”
“And you’re looking at him,” Lex said in anger, “Did I change so much these past few months? Did I grow a hair or something?”
“Do you really hate me that much,” Lex snarled stepping out onto a step to face him, “What do you want?”
“I’m sorry,” Clark said shuffling his feet nervously and a little embarrassed for not asking what Lex looked like, “I don’t remember.”
“Remember,” Lex asked, “Remember what?”
“Anything,” Clark said honestly, “I have amnesia.”
Lex was floored. What the fuck? Here his farmboy was to see him and he had no clue he was.
“You don’t remember anything,” Lex asked wondering if this was some cruel trick being played for revenge. No! He knew better. Clark was not like that at all. For shame Lex!
“I’m sorry,” Clark said again and turned to leave, “Maybe this was a bad idea.”
“Wait Clark,” Lex said feeling really bad, “Please come in.”
Clark looked back at him and gave him a timid smile that made Lex melt. Maybe he could somehow fix his mistake.
“Are you thirsty,” Lex asked while leading him through the mansion, “Hungry?”
“No,” Clark said taking everything in, “It’s so big.”
Lex heard the awe in his voice and hid his smile as he led Clark into the study. He watched Clark look at everything with intense green eyes and chuckled softly. This was extraordinary.
“You were found in a field,” Lex asked in shock, “And you were struck by lightning?”
“Yes,’ Clark said while rolling the balls around on the weird green table.
“And your memory,” Lex asked, “Will it come back?”
Clark shrugged, “I don’t know, maybe.”
“Clark,” Lex asked wondering what in the hell he was doing.
“Yes,” he asked looking up from the balls.
“What are you doing?”
Clark blushed, “Trying to figure out what this is.”
Lex just stood there frozen solid like a statue. What the hell?
“All these balls are colored and numbered except for the solid white one,” he said rolling them around, “And I guess if I used that stick I would hit the white one in order to knock all the other balls into one of these four holes.”
“What’s the triangle for,” Lex asked curiously.
“Oh,” Clark said picking it up and put it on his head, “The winner gets to wear it.”
Lex just looked at him for a minute. His left eye twitched and then he snorted. He actually snorted and now he was laughing out loud. This was too adorable. Where was that camera? Oh yes, he would definitely play this back and watch it later.
He took the triangle off Clark’s head and then showed him how it was used. Clark was smiling because he had gotten most of it correct. Lex even showed him how to play and as he got into it, the more natural it became. It just felt natural to be playing this game with Lex.
“Pool,” Lex said as he won again, “This game is called pool.”
Clark nodded, “Can I ask you something Lex?”
“Okay,” Lex said handing him a blue bottle of water that he took with thanks.
“Chloe’s grave,” Clark said and saw Lex stiffen, “It’s empty and records are not available either.”
“You know about records,” Lex asked, “But not about pool?”
“I didn’t,” Clark said honestly, “But I learn fast.”
“Obviously,” Lex said and then looked at him with those icy eyes, “How do you know her grave is empty?”
“Her cousin dug it up,” Clark said opening the water, “Lois is very loud.”
“Lois,” Lex asked, “Lois who Clark?”
“Lois Lane,” he said and then asked, “Why is it empty? Where is Chloe Lex?”
“Clark,” Lex tried.
“You took care of the funeral to,” Clark said, “Your name was on all the papers.”
“Clark,” Lex said again, “There is no body.”
Clark’s eyes lit up as he took a drink of the water, “Then she’s alive.”
“There is no body Clark,” Lex said and watched the light falter in those eyes, “Because there was nothing left.”
“What,” Clark asked feeling really confused and kind of sick, “What do you mean there was nothing left?”
Lex moved over to him and put his arms on his shoulders in a comforting gesture, “There was nothing left to burry Clark.”
There that feeling was again and Clark didn’t like it. It hurt and he didn’t like it. He felt as though something was breaking and he didn’t know what.
“I’m sorry Clark,” Lex said and then froze when he saw the tears spilling from those heartbreaking green eyes. Clark dropped the bottle and it shattered on the floor and before Lex thought he took Clark in his arms, “I’m so sorry Clark.”
Memories flashed through his mind of him and Clark doing this so many times before. The two of them would do this and then move on to something even more intimate. How he had missed holding Clark in his arms. He shook his head. He had hurt and betrayed Clark and now he had no memory of it. He was never going to abuse or hurt Clark again.
“Warm,” Clark whispered and rested his head on Lex’s shoulder.
Lex smiled softly, “Its okay Clark. I’m here for you.”
“Excuse me sir,” a voice said from behind him and Lex slowly turned around to look at him with eyes that were colder than a winter’s storm.
“What,” he asked and the voice made Clark shiver on the inside. Lex was so warm and comforting to him and so cold to everyone else. Why?
“Urgent call sir,” the suit said, “Very urgent.”
“Fine,” Lex said and turned those cold eyes which suddenly became warm again for Clark, “I’ll be right back.”
“Okay,” Clark said and watched Lex leave the room with the man.
He looked out the window and whispered, “Chloe,” and then his ears picked up something that shocked him.
888888888888888888888888888888888888888
“Yes,” Lex said into the secure line.
“I think we have been discovered,” a man said into the phone, “The same kid keeps walking by.”
“What do you mean,” Lex said, “Is Miss Sullivan safe?”
“For the moment sir,” the man said and then Lex heard a noise and then Chloe scream.
“Shit,” the man cried and then bullet fire was heard.
“Hey,” Lex snapped only for the phone to go dead.
“Fuck,” he yelled and slung the phone across the room which shattered against the wall next to Clark’s head.
Lex paled if that were possible, “Clark?”
“Where is she,” he asked and Lex almost cried. Clark was giving him the same look he did on the day he discovered the room.
“It was for her protection Clark,” Lex said quickly and grabbed his keys, “And yours.”
“Where is she,” Clark asked following him, “Where are you going?”
“To find her,” he said.
“I’m coming with you,” Clark told him.
“No,” Lex said, “You’re not.”
Those green eyes turned electric, “Stop me then.”
Lex just looked at him and then took off running, “Come on.”
88888888888888888888888888888888888888
The apartment was totally destroyed. There were bullet holes everywhere and two bodies slashed to pieces on the floor. Clark felt sick and Lex could not blame him.
Clark was looking at the wall that had strange papers all over it. It looked really neat and then Lex’s cell began to ring.
“Where are you,” Lex hissed and Clark was listening in.
“The welding warehouse,” the man said, “He’s taking her…”
The suddenly cried out and the phone went dead again.
“Damn,” Lex hissed and turned, “Clark.”
He was no where to be found, “Clark?”
88888888888888888888888888888888888888888
Chloe was definitely not a happy golden haired damsel in distress. Hell, no golden haired damsel was ever happy unless they were role playing and this sure as hell was not role playing. Where the hell was her knight in shining armor anyway? She really did not want to be melted and that was going to happen unless she could hit that damn button.
Why in the hell did he have to tie her bonds so damn tight? That’s it! She is definitely going to start working out if she gets out of this one.
“Come on,” she screamed as she kicked at the button, “Turn off damn you!”
Why was she always left hanging? She was either being buried alive or getting herself blown to bits. She was definitely going to start working out and keep her nose out from where it doesn’t belong…maybe.
She kicked out once more and kicked the hell out of that damn button. The lift stopped and she quickly unhooked herself while praising Kali, Jesus, Brigit, Isis, Hera, and all the other gods.
She then began to sneak around like a Charlie’s Angel only for a sword to suddenly come out of nowhere. She fell back and looked up to see the metal bastard standing over her smiling. She looked behind her to see a pool of molten metal and cringed. Now wasn’t this just perfect?
“Time to say hi to Jesus Chloe,” the metal bastard said only to be thrown across the room by something really fast.
Chloe turned back around to see Clark and smiled, “Hello Jesus.”
“Huh,” Clark asked and then began to feel really sick. He fell to his knees to see some meteor rock over in the corner and he cringed as the young man came out of no where and knocked Chloe back where she fell and hit her head.
“I’m going to fuck you up,” the metal man said raising his metal arms to slice Clark in two only to cry out.
Clark looked up and saw Lois stunning him with one of those high power guns, and he quickly used his heat vision. The man cried out and exploded into molten metal goo that quickly cooled.
Lois huffed, “What would you do without me Green Eyes?”
“How did you get here,” he asked in surprise hiding the pain he was in quite well.
“A girl has her ways,” she said with a smirk and then heard Chloe moan about her head.
“Chloe,” Lois cried and ran over to her side to help her up, “Oh thank goodness.”
“Lois,” Chloe asked, “What’re you doing here?”
“Saving your ass,” she said, “No thanks to Green Eyes here.”
“Clark,” Chloe said with tears in her eyes. Her knight in shining armor did show up.
“Hi,” he said with a big smile, “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” she said laughing while she got to her feet with their help, “I missed you.”
“Me to,” Clark said and he meant it both ways. Lois explained while they got the hell out of there.
“You’re still my Clark,” Chloe said pinching him on the arm, “No matter what.”
Clark smiled and rubbed the spot like it hurt, “No matter what.”
“I’m gonna puke,” Lois said and then made a gagging noise.
Chloe rolled her eyes and then snorted when Clark said, “You’re loud.”
888888888888888888888888888888888888
Later that night after getting a wonderful talking to about how wreak less and how proud his parents were of him he went to his loft to dig up some more memories. He found some pictures of him in the Kawatche caves with strange drawings on the walls. He even found some sketches that he had made. He was quite the artist really. Maybe he would go and check this place out when he got directions.
Chloe had told him that she would come and visit with him when she got to feeling better now that Lionel was in prison for good. He smiled and told her that she could come by anytime. He liked Chloe and wanted to know her better even though he already knew her…if that makes sense.
He dug around in his drawers some more and came across what looked to be a journal he had written in. He opened it up hoping to discover more of himself in this new treasure.
He read through some of the pages and realized that they were mostly about Lana and Lex. His eyes were taking it all in and he gasped when he got further in. He was apparently a very good and an even faster reader.
I don’t know what to think. I actually kissed Lex today and the scary part is…I think he kissed me back. I don’t want to hurt Lana but I’m IN love with Lex. I don’t know when this happened but it just happened. I’ve always been different from everyone I love and now I really feel like a freak. Did I pine after Lana just to protect myself? What will my parents think? What will Chloe think? I’ve hurt her so much already. I don’t think she’s ever really forgiven me about leaving her at the prom. I love Lex. I feel so selfish.
Green eyes were wide as he continued to read.
Lex came to see me today. I was so scared that he was going to tell me to never come see him again. He caught me a little off guard because I was sleeping on the sofa and not sleeping very well from what he told me.
He was so close that I could feel the warmth radiating from him. He told me that he was not mad and that everything was okay. He was just a little confused and worried when I just took off like a whirlwind. Note to self, must slow down. He said that he was just in shock that I had actually kissed him, and here I thought I was one the one who was going to die from a heart attack.
Then Lex shocked me. He told me that HE loved ME. He was in tears. I’ve never seen Lex cry before. It scared me. So I hugged him and had him sit down on the sofa with me. We sat just like that, in each others arms when I thought I heard something…only to find nothing.
“Clark,” a voice asked and green eyes looked up from the journal and quickly snapped it shut and put it back in the drawer.
“Lex,” Clark said in a tiny voice, “What’re you doing here?”
“I wanted to see how you were,” he said and then frowned even though he was ecstatic about his daddy being in prison forever and ever, “And to apologize for lying to you earlier.”
“You were so nice and comforting,” Clark said looking down at his bare feet and wished he could remember where all they had been, “It hurt to discover that you lied and caused me to feel pain.”
“I had to lie in order to keep Chloe safe,” Lex said wishing that Clark would just look at him, “And to protect you from my father.”
“I know,” Clark said and looked up at him, “But it hurt and it still hurts.”
“What do you want me to do,” Lex asked holding out his hands, “How can I make it right?”
“Don’t lie to me,” Clark said and then added with honesty, “Because it hurts when you lie to me.”
“Those eyes,” Lex thought as he gazed into them, “How I would love to just drown in those emerald depths forever.”
“Okay,” Lex said with a small smile and then asked, “Anything else?”
“I want all your money,” Clark said with narrowed eyes causing Lex to take a step back in shock.
He just looked at him, “Clark?”
“I’m kidding,” Clark laughed and shuffled his feet from doing that, “I want you to tell me about me through your experience being around me.”
“Uh,” Lex said cocking his head to the side, “I can do that.”
Clark smiled and Lex basked in the radiance.
8888888888888888888888888888888888888888
He was sitting up in the bed with cool violet silk pooled around his waist. The room was open to the black depths of space where the pillared room floated in the dark silvery abyss.
He was leaning back into a warm embrace and looked down to see that two luminous arms glowing with white fire were caressing his chest. A warm breath was being blown into his ear and a feathery tongue licked the bottom of his earlobe which sent delightful chills down his spine.
Silver stars burned in the bright radiance all around the room and a gentle voice begged, “Please don’t forget me Kal.”
Those strong arms tightened around his waist and he felt a soft cheek rest on the back of his neck as that melodious airy voice begged, “Please?”
“I’m sorry,” Clark said in deep sadness, “I know you but I don’t.”
Hair softer than spun spider’s silk tickled his back and sides as the being behind him moved and was suddenly in front of him.
Clark reached out a golden hand to caress that beautiful face for violet eyes to gaze at him with such intense love that he wanted to burn in it. Soft hands moved on top of his and the young man smiled as he kissed his Kal’s opened palms.
Clark sighed happily, “Tell me your name?”
The beautiful entity smiled and rested his head against Clark’s strong chest kissing his heart, “If only I could tell you my Beloved.”
“I know you,” Clark whispered as he ran his fingers through that impossibly long onyx hair that flowed and fanned out like endless shadows that kept secrets in the dark, “I love you.”
“Yes,” the young man smiled so brilliantly that the stars paled in its extraordinary beauty, “And I love you.”
Clark moved to drink deeply from those perfect red lips only to wakeup finding he had very sticky boxers.
“Violet,” he whispered with a smile, “That’s the color.”
8888888888888888888888888888888888888888
Lana was standing in the caves looking at the symbol on the wall that matched the tattoo on the small of her back perfectly. She was so confused. How in the hell did she get a tattoo? Did someone spike her drink while she was not looking? This was so not cool.
She was happy that Chloe was alive and well but pissed that she had been left out of all the excitement. She was not some fragile little doll that could shatter at the slightest touch. It was time to show these people how strong Lana Lang really was.
“Shit Clark,” Lana screamed when he stepped out of the shadows, “Scare somebody half to death will ya?”
“Sorry,” he said sheepishly, “I didn’t mean to frighten you Lana.”
Now why did that suddenly sound so familiar to him?
“Its okay,” she said really thinking about just kicking his ass. Her heart was beating a thousand miles a minute, “Just walk louder.”
“Will do,” he said and then asked, “Why are you here?”
“Looking for answers,” she said and then let out an exhausted sigh, “But only found more questions.”
“Same here,” Clark said.
“Huh,” she asked raising a delicate brow that was so thin it looked painted on.
“Trying to remember who I was,” he said poking at his skull, “Hoping that I might have ran away to hide in here and might find myself or something.”
“Right,” Lana said looking at the crazy farmboy who she loved so much and just wanted to kick his ass for breaking her heart, “How goes that?”
“The same,” Clark said with a slight smile, “Nothing. I must be a really good hider.”
“Maybe you’re just not a very good seeker,” Lana said. There was really no point in asking Clark about the tattoo or the symbol on the wall. He had no memory whatsoever that would be able to help her out.
“We should be getting home,” Lana said smiling up at him really glad that Lex was letting her rent the loft at the Talon for nearly nothing, “We have school tomorrow.”
“School,” Clark asked.
“Oh dear,” Lana said and took him by the hand. This was going to be a very long night in Lanaverse.
