.Mad Scientist 5: NCIS
.Dolly Directorate
The president stared at the tiny woman on his desk. "Well, uh, well, yes," he stammered. "That's quite a story, Director Shepard."
"Thank you, sir." Jennifer stood at something between Attention and Parade Rest on the blotter pad.
"And, uh, quite a suggestion."
"We thought so, sir." She glanced to her side, where the other three shrinkees stood in a line. They'd all been reduced to her size for the duration of the interview.
"So, we now have the capability to shrink spies, law enforcement officials, protected witnesses, well, uh, anyone we want to, huh?"
"Yes, sir."
"And you think we should have a, an agency, dedicated to special scale operations like this? Wouldn't other people be trapped at your size?"
"The main problem I have, sir, is that the woman who did this to us worked alone, and didn't have a backup power supply. That's been corrected, so my associates," she gestured towards DiNozzo, David and Lee, "can be restored to what is now their 'normal' size whenever we want.
"Any new agents will also be protected against permanent shrinking. And we're looking into ways to store the mass, so that power is less of an issue. And maybe people can be shrunk in one spot, restored in another."
"Fascinating," he murmured. "And is there a cure for your condition?"
"Anything's possible, sir," she replied. "Research into that proceeds as rapidly as possible."
"Well. Well, well, well," the President replied, thoughtlessly drumming his desk with a finger. "I suppose we'll look into this. I'm of a mind to approve it. Oh!" he stopped. "And what about the woman who caused all of this? Where is she?"
Behind the former NCIS Director, Tony patted his shirt pocket. "I have a special place for her, sir, close to my heart."
A terribly tiny person poked up into view under DiNozzo's hand. It looked like it was waving up at the president.
"Hey, Big Guy!" she shouted.
