On The Way To Heaven

*Earlier- In the kitchen*

Marco- So you like her but asked Ashley out?
Dylan- Bad call
Jimmy- Very bad
Craig- Uh DUH! You think?
Jimmy- I mean Ash is great and all but... Yvette seems nice too...
Marco- But why Yvette? You just met her...
Craig- Yeah but... she's different... and... I don't really have feelings for Ash...
Dylan- Then you should have never asked her out... But doesn't Spinner like Yvette?
Craig- Yeah... He does...

Craig- And this is my room...
Yvette- Sorta like mine only more boyish...
Craig- yeah I noticed...

They walked after a while of just talking in his room. They talked about everything... Or atleast almost everything.

She slipped her sweater on as everyone else did the same with their coats and jackets.

They all walked out of the house and waved goodbye to each other. Everyone seemed to like Yvette and she seemed to like them all too...

Craig and Yvette got back in his car and he drove her home. They slipped up the tree and into her room.

Yvette took off her shoes and pulled off her sweater.

Craig- Um... I guess i should get going...

She looked up at him quietly

Yvette- Yeah...

He walked to the window and turned to her quietly.

Craig- I... Im glad you came...
Yvette- Ok well... Bye...
Craig- ... bye...

He left and she closed the window after her. She slipped into bed, no longer restless...

Craig, steped into the house and threw himself on the sofa.

Craig- Yvette...

He fell asleep too... There was no longer spinning... only bliss.

The next day Craig stood in the hall at Degrassi, Ashley to his side. He hadn't seen Yvette yet but hoped to soon.

Yvette walked up the steps to Degrassi when suddenly she felt someone pull her near

Spinner- Hello beautiful.
Yvette- Hey, not so bad yourself.
Spinner- Going to your locker?
Yvette- Yep. Walking with me?
Spinner- Yes ma'am.

They walked to her locker and suddenly she was surprised to see flowers on her locker and a note. she looked at Spinner and he smiled rather goofy

Yvette- Gavin...
Spinner- Read the note...

She pulled it off the locker and read:

Yvette,

Thanks for the date yesterday... I know this might be sudden but...

Will you go out with me?

Spinner

Yvette smiled at him sweetly... She wasn't sure if she should say yes or not until...

Craig rounded the corner and saw Yvette standing next to her locker. It was covered in plastic flowers and Spinner was next to her. She was smiling at him and seeing her smile at him sent a surge of jealousy over him.

She looked at him and her eyes said it all. Seeing him with Ashley made her eyes go cold towards him. Suddenly her mouth opened and she looked at Spinner.

Yvette- Of course Gav!

She gave him a huge hug. Craig turned to Ashley qickly

Craig- Lets go to class...

He pulled her with him into Ms. Kwans

Craig and Yvette avoided each other that day. Craig tried very hard to hide his anger from Ashley but it was hard. He had lost... He had found someone so perfect and sweet and like him and it slipped out of his hands...

During lunch Yvette sat next to Marco while Spinner went to go get her a soda.

Marco- So Spinner huh? What about Craig?
Yvette- What?!
Marco- Oh stop... I saw the way you and Craig looked at each other last night and.... He likes you alot you know...
Yvette- He.... No hes dating Ashley...
Marco- Hmm... Yeah he is isnt he... it doesnt make it a right move on his part... Look just...
Spinner- Back!
Yvette- Hey...

Suddenly Paige sat down at thier table followed by Ashley who was followed by Craig

Paige- Hello Gavin
Spinner- Its Spin Paige... Hi
Paige- I don't think i've met your new arm candy...
spinner- Paige...
Paige- Im Paige... you are Yvette right?
Yvette- Yeah...
Ashley- Hi...
Yvette- Hey...

Craig looked at her quietly. He raised his hand and she gently smiled at him. Both knew that now was not the time to be nice to each other...

They all ate in silence. Soon Hazel Jimmy Ellie Dylan joined them

They all started talking except Craig and Yvette. Paige threw her a couple cold glances every now and then.

Ash- So Yvette, Im having a party... You and Spinner are invited... Its tonight...

Yvette loked at Craig as though to see if he wanted her there but he didn't look up.

Yvette- sure...
Spin- We're so there...

The bell rang and they all got up. Craig and Yvette lagged behind...

Craig- Spinner?
Yvette- Ashley...
Craig- I...
Yvette- Don't Craig. Theres nothing to say... Don't feel bad... Its not like you like me so what is there to explain?
Craig- Yvette...
Yvette- i'll see you tonight...
Craig- Why him? I mean he's not really your type...
Yvette- Well people seem to date people who arent their types around here...
Craig- I...
Yvette- We're just friends right?
Craig- Yea...
Yvette- Then don't fret... Ill see you tonight...
