Luke Duke comes home from the military with a secret that threatens to destroy his relationship with Bo. What will happen when he finally tells his cousin what it is?

SECRETS CHAPTER 5


Bo waited almost an hour before returning to the house only to discover that Luke had left. Daisy told him that Luke said he was going into town for awhile but would be back for supper. Bo nodded and went upstairs to take a shower. He had just finished and gotten dressed when he heard the sound of the General Lee’s powerful engine pulling into the barnyard. A few minutes later, he heard Luke’s footsteps on the stairs and then the door to their bedroom opening and closing. Bo left the bathroom and went into their room.
Luke was standing beside his dresser, changing shirts. He glanced at Bo but didn’t speak as Bo came into the room. Bo sat down on the edge of his bed and said softly,
“You ain’t mad at me are you?”
For several minutes Luke didn’t answer and then he shook his head and said softly “No, I’m not mad. I just….I guess I thought I could keep it secret from you and everybody else that I was attracted to men too….” He smiled thinly “I guess I should of known that I could never keep it a secret from you.” He sighed softly and chose his next words with care “I think I was more embarrassed than anything else when you said you heard me talking in my sleep last night….you were never supposed to find out about that.”
“Hey, I told you it’s okay. I really don’t mind….it just seemed kinda strange knowing you were having that kind of dream about me….” It was Bo’s turn to look embarrassed “And to be honest with ya…..I kinda jacked off while I was listening to ya….”
“Are you serious?” Luke said with a soft chuckle
“Yeah.” Bo admitted sheepishly “It turned me on knowing you were having a wet dream.”
“We better get downstairs.” Luke said before Bo could say anything else that might embarrass one or both of them. He tended to do that sometimes without even meaning to. He didn’t always stop to think before he said whatever was on his mind. “Daisy said supper was almost ready.”
The boys didn’t get a chance to talk privately again until they went to bed that night. As they were undressing, Bo looked at Luke and said,
“Luke, can I ask you something?”
“What?” Luke asked a little cautiously. He wasn’t sure he was up to answering any more of Bo’s questions today.
“What’s it feel like to be another man? I mean….is it better than being with a woman?”
Luke frowned as he tried to decide how to answer Bo’s question honestly. Finally, he said “In some ways it is….it’s hard to explain….it’s different obviously. And it depends if you’re on the giving or the receiving end of things…..”
“Which side have you been on?”
“Both.” Luke said and let it go at that. But Bo wasn’t ready to let it go at that.
“Which one did you like better?”
“It’s not a matter of which one I liked better…” Luke said struggling to try and explain “With two guys…there’s a certain amount of giving and receiving on both sides…but one partner is usually more dominant than the other one and I guess that’s the role I usually prefer….”
Bo was quiet for several minutes apparently deep in thought. Luke hoped that he was finished with the questions at least for tonight but he wasn’t. He had one more.
“”Luke……would you show me what it feels like?”
Luke stared at Bo for several minutes then shook his head slowly and whispered in a ragged voice “No…..I can’t…..”
“Why?”
“Don’t ask me that, Bo…..I just can’t that’s all…..” Luke said in a ragged voice. He climbed into bed and turned out the light, rolling over onto his side with his back to Bo. Bo sighed and stared into the darkness, trying to sort through his own feelings and his confusion. He had never been with a man or even thought that much about it until now. But Luke’s confession had stirred up feelings deep inside of Bo that he didn’t even know he had. He wanted to know what it felt like to make love to a man and not just any man….he wanted to know what it would feel like to be with Luke.
In his own bed, Luke was lost in his own turmoil of emotions. Bo’s request had caught him completely by surprise. He had never expected Bo to ask him something like that. Even though he was attracted to Bo, even more than he cared to admit even to himself, he couldn’t in good conscience bring himself to do something with Bo that Bo could end up regretting and so could he. It could destroy their relationship and he wasn’t going to allow that to happen. Even if that meant taking a lot of cold showers and doing a lot of jacking off.
