Chapter 5

Disclaimer: I don't Own Stargate!

It took every once of self-control he had not to kiss her into oblivion. “I think this might just get us a couple of seats on Prometheus,” Daniel grabbed his radio, “Sam, Teal’c, we hit pay dirt in here!”

They heard the heavy metal footfalls on the steps before they got Sam’s reply, “Guys you’ve got incoming!”

Daniel was reaching for his zat when Becca saw the Jaffa, his staff weapon level with her chest. She dove just in time but didn’t see the second set of steps, and then she was falling, tumbling, landing at the bottom with a sickening crunch. Lights exploded in front of her eyes as the pain started to sink in.

“Becca!” Daniel screamed getting off two short bursts, which took the Jaffa down. He took the steps in record time, his stomach turning when he saw Becca. There were numerous cuts and bruises already starting to show but the bad part was her leg, it stuck out at a very unnatural angle. She was bleeding profusely from the compound fracture. She was shivering, already going into shock.

“Guys, I need you down here NOW! Becca’s down we have to get her back to the SGC!”

“How bad?” Sam answered.

“Really F-in bad!” he choked out.
It seemed like forever before he heard them.
“Daniel Jackson” came Teal’ks booming voice.

“We’re down here,” Daniel shouted.

Sam was on her knees beside them seconds later going through her med kit. “Becca, honey, I’m going to give you some morphine to take the edge off. Okay?” Sam said smoothing the hair back from Becca’s forehead.

She could not form a reply through her chattering teeth. They put together the collapsible stretcher and managed to get Becca secured to it.

‘Don’t scream, don’t scream,’ was the mantra going through her head. ‘Go somewhere else, you can do this,’ she thought tears streaming down her face, and squeezing the heck out of Sam’s hand.

Staff blasts were all around them as they walked out of the temple and they had to lower Becca to the ground and surrounded her.

“Where the hell is the other team!” shouted Daniel over the din.

“They’re covering the Gate!” Sam shouted back.

They managed to make a dent, scooped up the stretcher and made a break for the gate. “Dial it up!” Sam shouted into her radio.
