Note: Character thoughts are enclosed in *. This chapter also contains a challenge. The elements to use were:
1. Fly paper;
2. Grissom and Greg fight over new Harry Potter book;
3. Sara buys a new car and interesting things happen in it;
4. no less than 4 smut type scenes;
5. a hot dance scene;
6. A famous male celebrity flirts with Sara (Grissom jealousy scene);
7. Colored print powder (Grissom's invention);
8. Grissom chasing Sara with a water balloon;
9. Sara names Grissom's "member";
10. Begin or end line with "Someone needs a good spanking!". Although the last element was fudged a bit and the line was simply included.

The days passed quickly and with the flurry of cases, Grissom’s concerns about Michelle were pushed to the back of his mind. The latest impending disaster was the department banquet, which the entire night shift seemed determined to go to. He could understand their motives, as this banquet was the perfect opportunity for the political maneuvering that unfortunately was necessary if they had any aspirations of moving beyond fieldwork. Greg had even begged Sara to attend so he would have moral support for his first department function as a CSI. After a lot of thought and private discussion with Grissom, she decided to go just to support Greg. Unfortunately Sara’s agreeing to attend the banquet resulted in Catherine giving Grissom her “you need to be more politic” speech for the millionth time.

“Gil you have to go.”

“Catherine I am not going. I’m just not a costume party kind of person.”

“Who cares? It’s not because of the party you need to be there. It’s the politics.”

Grissom looked at her and saw Conrad Ecklie pause just outside his office listening to the conversation. “Catherine I know you mean well, but I’m just not a political person. Besides I have plans for tomorrow night.”

Catherine looked a bit puzzled. She knew the mysterious “BuggyGal” was Sara, and Sara had already agreed to attend the party. She was about to say something about Sara when she noticed Grissom glance behind her and gave a slight shake of his head. “I wish you’d change your mind, Gil. The whole team is going, or at least stopping in for a bit before shift.”

“I know they care Cath, and I’m not changing my mind. As I said, I have plans.”

Catherine turned and rolled her eyes as she left muttering something about politically tone deaf. She smiled at Conrad as she stepped around him and barely missed colliding with Jacqui and Greg who were barreling for Grissom’s office. He looked up when he heard the commotion.

Greg was out of breath from the dash to the office. “Griss, you have GOT to do something about that powder you made.”

Jacqui grinned. “Oh I don’t know. It seems just fine to me.” She looked at Grissom and explained. “He’s just mad because for once I got results faster than he did. That print powder of your is wicked, and I mean that in a good way. This stuff just pops the prints right up.”

Greg rolled his eyes. “But why in the world did you make it neon purple?”

Grissom shrugged. “Seemed like the thing to do at the time. Surface color doesn’t matter with it.”

Jacqui grinned as she reminded Greg he now had to dance at the party, with an actual woman and not just in the same area as a woman, and she was on her way. Greg tried to glare at Grissom, who seemed to be enjoying the show, when he spied Grissom’s recent purchase sitting on the corner of his desk. The young CSI casually slipped the book off the desk and took off down the hall with it. Unfortunately Grissom not only saw the move, but the old man was faster and caught him at the break room and put him in a headlock.

“Give it back Greg.”

“Aw come on Grissom. With all time you spend working, how would you even miss it? It’s not like you’ll actually read it.”

Catherine took the book from Greg and laughed when she saw the cover. “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince? Grissom you didn’t actually buy this did you?”

Grissom released Greg and took his book back from Catherine. “Yes I did. It goes along with the rest of them in the series I have.” Grissom looked around the break room at the blank stares on people’s faces. “What? Don’t you guys ever read anything just for fun?” Just then he saw someone from maintenance walking down the hall with a long strip in his hand and he took off after the man to stop him. Catherine saw the item Grissom confiscated from the confused man and giggled as she explained to the perplexed people in the break room. “Maintenance was hanging fly paper strips. Grissom seems to think they’re cruel and unusual punishment for insects.”

Sara heard laughter coming from the break room and had to investigate. Shift was over and everyone should have been starting for home, but from the sounds of it that hadn’t happened yet. She saw everyone packing up to head out and continued on her way to the parking lot. Grissom was on the phone in his office as she passed and she gave him a little wave on her way by. Just as she reached the lab’s outer doors she heard her name being called from inside and turned to see Grissom hurrying down the hall after her.

“Sara can you do something for me?”

“As long as it doesn’t require signing back in, sure.”

Greg laughed as he passed. “Careful Sara. He might infect your feet with mildew or something.”

Grissom chuckled and shook his head. “No Greg that was special just for you. I was just wondering if you could give me a ride home. I’m off the next two days and the Denali is in for maintenance. Brass usually does when this happens, but he’s tied up with a witness.”

“Sure I can do that. Do you need me to wait for a while or are you about ready?”

Sara waited for him to grab his briefcase while Greg and Nick were checking out her new car. When Grissom emerged from the building he almost didn’t see her since he was looking for her little blue Jetta. Instead she was leaning on a new bright red Dodge Charger. In his mind he was thinking how well the car suited Sara. It was sleek, powerful, and could be oh so dangerous. Nick and Greg wandered off to their own cars when they saw Grissom approaching. That left the older man to openly appreciate the beauty before him, and he noticed the car too.

“So when did this happen?”

Sara smiled. “I picked it up yesterday before shift. What do you think of it?”

Grissom looked over the car’s sleek lines and smirked. “It’s definitely you, Sara. What made you buy one like this?”

Sara smiled and started to blush. “Long story, but let’s just say it’s my fantasy car.” She dangled the keys in front of him. “Want to take it for a spin?”

Grissom grinned and took the keys from her. She started around the car to the passenger door when Greg pulled up behind them and stopped. “Hey Sara. When do I get to drive it?”

She grinned. “You don’t.” Greg looked surprised. “But you’re letting Grissom drive.” Sara laughed. “Yeah and it’s called kissing up to the boss. Now get out of here and let me go home.”

In a few minutes they were on the road heading toward Grissom’s townhouse. “Kissing up to the boss huh?” Sara laughed. “Yep. Now if I really wanted to kiss up to the boss, I’d tell you to take a ride out to Lake Mead before we go home.”

Grissom eyed her curiously and then turned the car out onto the freeway and started for the lake. Once they were clear of city traffic Sara slid a little closer to him and gently laid her hand on his knee. “Now you just keep your eyes on the road, and I’ll tell you why this is my fantasy car.” She knew she had his interest when she saw his tighten his grip on the wheel and force himself not to look at her. She started to gently stroke up the inside of his thigh as she spoke. “You see there was this guy at Berkley that had a very hot, black Charger. I fell in love with that car. Unfortunately, the guy was a complete jerk, but at least his car looked good. The car then became a key part in some of my daydreams, especially once I saw this guest lecturer with these amazing blue eyes.”

It was getting more difficult for Grissom to concentrate as Sara’s hand moved higher and began to rub his half-hard member through his slacks. She watched the intense look of concentration on his face and continued. “See this guy had these eyes that I just couldn’t get out of my head, this voice that could make hello sound sexy, and curls that I just wanted to run my fingers through. In reality he was a perfect gentleman and professional. But in my daydreams that calm exterior fell away and he was a very intense lover. My favorite daydream had the two of us in the Charger. See he’d be driving on a highway, just like this. While he’s driving I just couldn’t keep my hands off of him. He’d keep driving and then…”

Her voice trailed off as she reached up and popped the button on his slacks and opened his fly. Grissom groaned when he felt her reach in and pull his now hard cock out, stroking it and spreading the moisture from the tip around. Sara giggled when Grissom had to jerk the wheel to avoid running off the road when she leaned over and licked his cock like a lollipop. When Sara slid lower into the seat, he quickly found an off-ramp and got off the freeway. Fortunately he also found a small road heading into the woods and he pulled into it, finding a wide spot to pull off and put the car in park just as Sara sucked his cock down to the root. She knew he wouldn’t last long but she continued to suck, stroke and fondle him until she felt his release filling her mouth. She swallowed all he had to offer and looked up into those deep blue eyes she loved so much. She sat up and he reached for her, pulling her into a breathtaking kiss. When they parted his eyes sparkled with amusement.

“So that’s your fantasy huh?”

Sara grinned and kissed his nose. “One of them. If you’re good I’ll show you and Moby a few of the others.”

Grissom smirked at her. “Moby?”

She reached down and gently tucked him back into his slacks. “Yeah Moby. Because with him I have a whale of a good time.” She sat back in her seat and smiled. “Drive bug man. I have a lot to do before that party tomorrow night.”
*********************************************************************************************

The next day Sara found herself hiding from Grissom in her bathroom closet. The kids in the complex had pulled her into a water balloon battle with them and she accidentally caught Grissom in the crossfire. Now he had a water balloon and was bent on revenge. Suddenly the closet door was flung open and Grissom launched the balloon straight into her chest, soaking her shirt. Sara looked down and did her best to look angry. “Oooo Someone needs a good spanking.”

Grissom smirked at her, “Now don’t go making promises you can’t keep. Don’t you have a party to get ready for?”

Sara stepped out of the closet and smacked his butt on her way past. “Yes and you’re lucky I didn’t already start when you threw that.”

She hung the bag with her costume on the bathroom door and turned as Grissom pulled her into a spine-melting kiss. His hands were caressing her back and pulled her ass closer to him. She tangled her fingers in his hair and clung to him as she felt her arousal course through her. Just when her lungs began to scream for air, he broke the kiss and pulled away from her. “That’s just a reminder of what’s waiting for you later.”

Sara grinned at him and hugged him tight. “I already know what’s waiting for me later. It’s not everyday a girl has all of her daydreams come true.”

Sara knew she would see him later, but she couldn’t help but feel a little sad when she watched him walk out her door. This was going to be a long night.
******************************************************************************************************
The ballroom at the Venetian was a spectacular backdrop for the department costume ball. Everyone was in costume and masked, but for many it wasn’t difficult to guess their identities. The night shift crew had gathered in one corner with Brass when they heard a commotion from the entrance. People were stopping to openly stare at the sight entering the ballroom. A tall woman with dark hair curling down her back was wearing a black corset with white lace over her shoulders, the short black skirt was overlaid with a sheer metallic gold wrap skirt and the sandals she wore made her look almost barefoot. The small black mask covering her eyes did nothing to hide her identity. Regardless of how she tried to hide it, the men of the crime lab knew Sara Sidle on sight. But what drew the most attention was her companion.

The man on her arm was about her height with dark hair slicked back away from his face. The black pants he wore fit him like a glove and hugged every inch of his long legs, highlighting his firm ass and obvious package. The ruffled collar on his white shirt was open to halfway down his well-defined chest and the black bolero jacket accented his broad shoulders. The outfit was completed with black gloves and boots, and a black cape was slung over one shoulder. A black mask extending from eyebrow to jaw line completely hid his face except for the area around his mouth, which showed his well-trimmed goatee and gave him the look of dangerous pirate. No one was sure who he was, but every woman in the room wanted to find out.

Catherine’s jaw dropped when she saw the man with Sara. She knew that Sara and Grissom were together, and now here Sara was at the party with some buff guy. Her anger rose as she watched the man touch Sara’s back and guide her through the crowd. Grissom was one of her best friends and there was no way she could stand by and watch him get hurt by the woman he loves. She glanced at Brass and saw the anger in his eyes also. Sara and her companion arrived at the group and before Catherine could say anything, Warrick leaned down and quietly reminded her that they had promised Grissom and Sara that they would not reveal their relationship. “Watch it Cath. No one knows about them, so if you say anything it could out them.”

Catherine looked up at Warrick stunned “You expect me to stand by and watch her break his heart?” Warrick rolled his eyes. “You don’t know that’s what she’s doing, and he’s not here. Just give her the benefit of the doubt. Innocent until proven guilty, remember?”

Warrick watched as Catherine and Brass struggled with themselves and tried not to say anything to Sara, but it was difficult as they watched this man interact with her. He never spoke other than whispering in her ear, but he openly flirted with her and touched her constantly. These were not innocent, friendly touches, but were the kind of touches only people who were intimate with each other shared.

Conrad Ecklie and the new A.D. Michelle made their rounds through the room and were soon over by the tables occupied by the nightshift. Michelle noticed the man with Sara and got her uncle’s attention. “It looks like your suspicions were wrong. That definitely does not look like Grissom with CSI Sidle.”

Conrad glared at the man with Sara. “I hate to admit it, but I think you’re right. Why a young woman like Sidle would be interested in someone like Grissom didn’t make any sense anyway.”

Michelle found Nick, Greg and Archie at the one table with sheets of paper spread out in front of them. They were listing all the things they knew and had found out about Sara’s companion and were trying to come up with a list of possible suspects. She slid a chair up beside Nick and joined in on their fun.

“Ok first of all we know Sara is dating someone, so logically this guy is her new boyfriend.”

Nick shook his head. “Well that’s pretty much a given, but exactly who is the guy? I mean I don’t think I’ve ever seen him before, but there is something about the way he looks at her that’s familiar.”

Michelle looked at the man as he walked Sara to the dance floor. “I know what you mean. There is something about him that seems like I know him, but believe me if I’d have seen someone who looked like that in the lab, I’d remember.”

The music played and they watched the couple dance. It was soon obvious that not only was this man with Sara incredibly attractive, but the man could dance as well. Catherine watched the two of them dance and got even more angry as the dance became seductive. He was pulling her back to him and caressing her as if they were alone in the room. By the time the song ended they were both panting and becoming aroused. He pulled her off the dance floor and off to the side. He leaned in close to her ear before he spoke. “Let’s find somewhere a little more private.” Sara looked at him and saw the desire in his eyes. “I don’t know if that’s a good idea.” He took her hand in his and began kissing her fingers while he watched her eyes before speaking. “I think it’s a very good idea.” He gently pulled her until she followed him and he stopped outside the cloakroom. He glanced back to make sure no one was watching before he ducked inside pulling a stunned Sara with him. Before she could speak his lips were on her neck, nipping and sucking just below her ear. Sara gasped as she felt her body react so quickly and she wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders.

“I still…oh that feels good…this isn’t a good idea. Mmmm oh God. What if someone walks in?”

He pulled back and looked at her, his eyes full of mischief. “That’s part of the thrill. Someone could walk in.” His hands began pulling her skirt up as his lips returned to hers. One hand dipped between her thighs and rubbed her through her already soaked panties.

Sara couldn’t believe how quickly he had her aroused in public, and at the moment she forgot to care how he did it. She reached for him and began caressing him through his tight pants, bringing his manhood to full hardness. When she began to nip at his earlobe he couldn’t take anymore. He lifted her up and sat her on the edge of the small table that was against the wall and pushed her skirt up past her thighs. She felt him push the edge of her panties aside and leaned back giving him full access to her body, then gasped and bucked against him when he slid two fingers into her moist depths. He had never seen a woman who could be so responsive to quickly and his desire to have her overwhelmed him. He felt her reach for his fly and slid his fingers from her so she could sit up. She had his hard length free in a moment and he reached up to remove his mask.

“No.” One word was all it took for him to stop. Sara took his hands and guided them back to her body. “Leave it on.” He smiled and did as she asked before pushing her panties aside once more and sinking into her. Her legs wrapped around his hips as he set a fast pounding rhythm. This was not the time for finesse or to take things slowly. Someone really could discover them. He pulled her closer and kept his mouth close to hers to swallow her cries as he pounded into her. Her finger gripped his shoulders tightly and they were both so close to their climax, when suddenly the room was flooded with light. Sara looked over toward the door and saw a very shocked and pissed off Jim Brass. He closed his eyes and backed out of the room closing the door as he left.

Brass returned to the party and headed straight for the bar. Catherine and Warrick saw his return and joined him as soon as he took a seat. He had specifically gone to look for Sara, and by the look in his face he had found her. Sara returned to the party alone looking for Brass and she was met by three cold stares. She knew then Brass had told Catherine and Warrick what he had walked in on, and none of them were very pleased with her.

“Brass I think we need to talk.”

Brass gave her an icy stare and picked up his drink. “I don’t think there is anything to talk about.” He moved closer and lowered his voice to avoid being overheard. “You’ve been pining away from Grissom for years. You finally get him and I find you screwing around on him. At a department party no less? You are some piece of work. I can just be thankful that it wasn’t someone else who walked in on you, and that no one else in the department knows about the two of you. This will be bad enough on Gil, but he doesn’t need the public humiliation to go with it.” The desire to hurt her grew within him as he thought about his friend and what this news would do to him, but he walked away.

Sara looked at Catherine and Warrick with tears in her eyes. “I can explain.” Warrick cut her off. “No Sar I don’t think you can. There is no excuse for what you did.” He reached out and grabbed her arm pulling her close. “Grissom loves you, more than I’ve seen him love anything. What is this? Getting back at him for all the times he hurt you?”

Catherine took the opportunity to voice her thoughts as well. “I thought you two were good together. Hell I was pulling for the two of you long before Gil got his head out of his ass. You finally have him and you hurt him like this? Do you know why it took him so long to come around? He’s afraid you’ll get bored and leave him. Apparently he was right. This is going to kill him when he finds out, and don’t think he wont. I wish someone had told me when Eddie was cheating on me and I’m not about to stand by and let that happen to Gil.”

Sara pulled away and ran from the room. Her companion saw her leaning against the wall in the hallway and went to her. As he drew closer he could see she was crying. He glanced into the ballroom and saw Brass, Catherine, and Warrick fuming near the door and shooting death glares his direction. With a sigh he caressed Sara’s face and brushed her tears aside. “Everything will be alright.” She looked at him and shook her head.

“No it won’t. I screwed up too badly for anything to be alright again.” She pushed away from the wall and walked down into the casino bar. She couldn’t go home just yet and the bar was a better option than staying at the party.

Her companion stalked back into the party and made a beeline for Brass. Before he could speak Warrick had him pinned against the wall and had an arm across his throat. “Why couldn’t you just leave her alone? They could have been happy.” Catherine pulled Warrick away from the man. “Rick the one to blame here is Sara. She knew she was involved. She knew how he felt about her, and she’s the one who should have stopped it. Not that lover boy here is innocent, but we know the big culprit here is Sara.”

Michelle Ecklie saw Warrick attack the man and went over. “Is everything alright?” No one spoke, but the masked man nodded. She went closer to him and put her hands on his chest. “So what is a guy like you doing with all these science geeks? I mean you don’t look the type. Tonight everyone is wondering who you are and wants to get to know you better.”

The man opened his mouth, and then closed it abruptly. He reached down and took Michelle’s wrists, pulling her hands away from his body. Stepping back away from her he looked over at Warrick and shook his head. “You really should have a little more faith in your friends.” And with that comment he reached up and pulled the mask up over his head.

Everyone within sight of the unmasking gasped and fell silent. You could have heard a pin drop in the room when he dropped the mask onto the table. Nick and Greg heard the disturbance and arrived in time to see Sara’s companion drop the mask on the table and stepped in front of Brass.
