ch 48
CHAPTER 48
They landed in Orlando on Disney’s landing strip.
Sara walked out to see what was going on.
“Mr Allen, where are we?”
“Orlando. Your husband and I have a meeting.”
“You have a what?”
“I want for him to consult with Disney on an insectarium.”
“Why?”
“He is the best at what he does. As a bonus you will get free passed to everything Disney.”
“Before the meeting the Doc needs to check out Gil first, where is he?”
“He is taking a nap, he said to wake him when we landed.”
“I’ll get Doc and meet you back here.”
“Sounds good.”
“Is Amy still in the Arcade?”
“Yes, her and Pauley.”
“Alright, we will be right back.”
Sara passed Sam to Doc’s wife and she and Doc went to check on Grissom. They returned promptly.
“His breathing is better already.”
“The plane is amazing for air quality.”
“I’ll say.”
“We have a meeting with Michael Eisner in fifteen minutes, will that be enough time?”
“The Michael Eisner?” Sara asked.
“The one and only. Mrs Grissom you can come to out meeting too. We will leave the kids in the arcade until we are done.”
“Doc, do you two mind staying with the kids until we get back?”
“No problem at all, Sara.”
They left the Jet and headed for a building. Sara and Grissom followed Paul.
The middle-aged man was waiting for them. He extended his hand. “I am Michael Eisner, the CEO of Disney.” He shook both Sara and Grissom’s hand. “I hear you are an entomologist, Mr Grissom.”
“It’s just Grissom and yes I am.”
“I think you may be useful to us. I drafted a contract, I’ll let you read it over and see if it suits you.”
Sara took the document and read it over.
The terms of this contact are as follows:
Mr Grissom will be required to consult on the building of the new insectariums here at Disney.
In exchange for his services we will provide the following:
1. Tickets to all the latest amenities at Disney.
2. We will provide you with a family size cabin with all of the latest conveniences.
3. Nanny Service as required as well as Maid service.
4. Meals will be provided.
5. Persons at beck and call for any other requirements
6. A vehicle
7. Consulting fees $250 per hour
Sara looked up from the paper. “So far so good, but we need a few other things.” It they wanted him bad enough they would agree to anything.
“What’s that, Mrs Grissom?”
“It’s Sara. Well Gil will be working in Miami for the Miami PD, how will he live here and get to work?”
“We will provide the Disney Jet to shuttle him back and forth.”
“He is sick, that is why we are here. He may need time off for medical appointments as well as additional medical insurance.”
“That is acceptable. We will even give him time off when the baby is born, is this acceptable?”
Sara extended her hand. “You have a deal.” Grissom just looked at her. “We need to check into Miami, we will be back tonight if that is alright.”
“Sure, just bring the jet back we will have your cabin ready.”
“Sounds good.”
