Fortress
Vesta looked admiring her new Fortress of Solitude.
It looked like a miniature version of their house, and it was painted the same color.
Clark had it wired for electricity.
“ Daddy I want to sleep out here tonight”.
“ Okay I don’t see why not”.
Maddie walked inside.
“We still need to put some finishing touches in here”.
Clark peaked in.
“ I’ll leave the decorating up to you two, and Chloe.
Chloe walked up behind him .
“ I brought some lemonade”.
“ Thanks Chloe”, he takes a drink.
“ Man that hit the spot”.
Chloe looked at the finish produce.
“ Clark it looks really good”.
“ Chloe I’m going to sleep out here tonight”.
Maddie took a sip of lemonade.”
“ Lord that really hit’s the spot”.
Vesta took a big gulp of hers.
“ Chloe’s homemade lemonade is yummy”, but I’m getting hungry”.
“ I order pizza , and it should be here any minute”, said Chloe.
No sooner said than done the pizza delivery truck was driving up.
Chloe met the guy in the drive.
“ Come on Vesta”.
“ Daddy , Maddie come on”.
“ Go on Sweetheart we’ll be inside in a few minutes”.
Clark walked in and shut the door.
“ Maddie we need to talk”.
“ Yeah Clark what is own your mine?”
“ Maddie I think you’re a very attractive girl”.
She smiled.
“ You really think I’m attractive?”
“ Maddie you’ve grown into a beautiful woman”.
“ Clark I know what your saying”.
“ You don’t have to worry , about hurting me , because I will always be attracted to you, I would never bring any burden on your relationship with Chloe”.
“ I’m just seventeen”.
“ I still have a lot to learn about the world of love”.
She wraps her arms around his neck, and he grips her waist .
She kisses him on the lips, and steps back.
“ Chloe sure is lucky to have you Clark”.
He smiled .
“ Maddie someday you’ll make some guy really happy”.
Chloe , and Vesta were already sitting down eating some pizza.
Maddie, and Clark helped themselves.
After they ate Maddie helped Chloe clean the table, and Clark got Vesta ready for bed.
Chloe and Maddie were sitting on the couch.
“ I sure had fun today”.
“ We enjoyed having you Maddie”.
“ I will come for more visit, since I got a new car now”.
“ That is a nice car”.
“ Thank you Clark “.
“ It was a graduation gift from my Grandmother”.
“ I’ll be going to Met U next year”.
“ I got and art scholarship, and speaking of art I still have the picture you drew for me”.
“ It is framed”.
“ I didn’t no you had any artistic Talent Clark”.
“ Chloe I manage”.
Maddie got up .
“ I need to get going”.
“ I’ll call , and let you know, I made it home safely”.
