The Way I Love You

~~~~~~~~~~
The pair exited the freshly cleared tunnel exit.
The look they exchanged told the other that they would keep their discussion secret.
Hogan told the Heroes about the mission from headquarters.
They discussed how the mission would be handled.
As they spoke, Hogan could feel Kinch watching him.
Hogan would give anything to meet Kinch's gaze.
He knew that if he did look, his eyes would give something away.
Kinch, LeBeau and Newkirk managed to slip out of Stalag13 to
pick up a small package that was to be dropped.
The package was dropped and picked up.
When the package was dropped from the plane,
four German soldiers had spotted the plane.
They drew too close for comfort. One fired his rifle into the darkness.
The bullet hit Kinch's thigh. Kinch held back a cry of pain.
The quartet of German soldiers went around to search and left
within a couple of minutes. Kinch had lost a fair of blood and had passed out.
LeBeau slipped the package into his coat. Newkirk and LeBeau picked
up the unconscious Kinch and took him back to camp.
Hogan blanched upon seeing Kinch. One of the men in the barracks
had been training to become a doctor. With makeshift bare essentials,
Evan went to work to remove the bullet, stop the bleeding and sew up the bullet hole.
For the rest of the night, Hogan stayed by Kinch's side.
Occasionally, LeBeau would slip in to Hogan's office to try to talk Hogan into resting.
"I'm not resting while one of my men is hurt." Hogan said.
LeBeau knew that there was more to it than that.
He had a vague feeling that Hogan was in love with Kinch.
He had noticed the look in Hogan's eyes when Kinch was brought in.
It was a look of pain upon seeing a lover, significant other
or love interest in pain or injured.
He couldn't help but wonder if Kinch reciprocated Hogan's feelings.
He didn't think that it would polite to come right out and ask.
He figured that it would be wise to keep his mouth shut until everything was out in the open.
