Summary: What if another ship crash landed in Smallville during the second meteor shower?
Chapter Three
Kai-El floated up so he could sit on a crystal ledge, “I am your cousin…your last living relative.”
“Yes,” Jor-El said, “He is the son of my brother Zor-El. Kai-El’s ship was programmed to land in Smallville should an element come in contact with human blood.”
“Oh,” Clark said, “A backup plan in case I screwed up.”
“Which you did,” Jor-El said matter of fact, “You screwed up with flying primary colors, my Son…well done.”
“Was he a baby too,” Clark asked as he bit back a remark.
“Yes,” Jor-El said, “His ship was programmed to accommodate his needs as time passed.”
“That’s nice,” Clark said while looking up at Kai-El, “Isobel has taken over Lana’s body again and I need to get back and stop he before she decides to try and take over the world again.”
“Calm yourself, my Son,” Jor-El said patiently, “My sensors detect this “Isobel” and she is sitting in your loft reading a book on How to Curse in Three Easy Steps.”
“You don’t understand,” Clark argued, “She’s evil. She has really powerful magical powers. She can hurt people…even me with all her magic.”
“Be silent,” Kai-El snapped and floated back down to stand in his skin tight leather pants and shirt, “Do as your father commands of you, Kal-El.”
“Excuse me,” Clark hissed in rage.
“Your father and his consort sacrificed everything in order to save the two of us,” Kai-El said stepping towards him, “Our family perished so that we might live.”
“This is all very true,” Jor-El stated calmly.
“Stop being such a spoiled brat and do as you’re told,” Kai-El said as he jabbed Clark in the chest with his index finger making him stumble back, “This world could of ended today because of you and your selfishness.”
“I wanted no part of this,” Clark hissed only to suddenly find that he was pressed up against a wall, “I want a normal life.”
“Normal,” Kai-El deadpanned.
“Normal,” Clark repeated, “None of this would of happened if all of you had simply stayed dead.”
“We are your family,” Kai-El whispered because he felt his cousin’s pain and it stabbed like daggers, “We are your blood, Kal-El.”
“And stop calling me that,” Clark said trying to break his grip but couldn’t, “My name is Clark.”
“You are Kal-El of Krypton,” Jor-El thundered, “My Son.”
“You have obligations,” Kai-El said and let him go, “Like protecting this planet from disasters…like the one today that was never suppose to of happend”
“Protect this,” Clark said and grabbed a hold of Kai-El’s shirt and punched the handsome man in the face.
Kai-El stumbled back from the blow and in doing so his shirt ripped completely off of him. He fell back against the crystal console and looked at Clark with no sign of rage…but hurt.
Clark blinked and saw that Kai-El had a symbol tattooed over his heart in red ink. It was the same symbol that Jor-El had burned into his chest years earlier.
“You struck me,” Kai-El whispered in shock.
“And I’m not sorry,” Clark mumbled, “You made me pee on myself.”
“You ruined my clothing,” Kai-El deadpanned.
“Again,” Clark repeated, “Not sorry.”
“Enough,” Jor-El roared and his voice dug into Clark’s bones like a drill, “You will take this crystal, my Son, and you will begin your training.”
“No,” Clark simply said, “I have to see my parents. I have to stuff Isobel back into her stupid grave…I…I have to change my pants.”
“Silence,” Jor-El bellowed at the top of his dead lungs and the whole fortress shook. Snow fell from above and Clark stumbled back so none of it would hit him. It would seem that he had really pissed Daddy Dearest off…good.
“Get you out of my sight,” Jor-El hissed, “Go, take care of your business…but you will return to me, Kal-el.”
“Do I have too,” Clark asked, “The aliens are gone.”
“You think you know the extent of my wrath, Kal-El,” Jor-El seethed, “You know nothing of wrath.”
“Did you ever love me,” Clark asked out of the blue.
Kai-El stood up, “He saved us,” he said, “What more proof do you need?”
“I want to hear him say it,” Clark said, “Then I might actually think about returning.”
“My consort and I loved you so much, my Son,” Jor-El whispered softly, “That we built a ship…and we sent you into the stars so that you might live.”
“As did mine,” Kai-El said snatching his ruined shirt from Clark, “Their voices are still with me.”
Clark turned away from his so called cousin and took his jacket off, “Here,” he said handing it to him, “Cover up before you poke someone’s eye out.”
Kai-El took the jacket from him and looked it over before actually putting it on. The red jacket was too big for him, but it would do…for now.
“I’ll come back,” Clark promised, “After I figure out how to send Isobel packing.”
“So be it,” Jor-El said, “Remember your promise, Kal-El.”
Clark took one last look at Kai-El and was suddenly gone in a blur.
“He hates me,” Kai-El said as he leaned back against an icy wall with a sigh.
“Nonsense,” Jor-El soothed, “Lara hated my guts to begin with.”
Kai-El put a hand over his heart and cringed at the pain he felt, “He has such pain, fear, anger…Uncle.”
“He does, my Nephew,” he said, “But he no longer has to bare it alone.”
“Will he love me,” Kai-El asked as he gazed up at all the bright and shining spirals of ice.
“You allow your empathic abilities to consume your mind,” Jor-El said.
“I’m sorry, Uncle,” Kai-El apologized and frowned in thought, “He hates me.”

After he found a clean pair of pants and boxers in the back of the truck, he raced into the barn and up the steps to the loft to see a sight he never thought he would see. Isobel was curled up on his sofa sound asleep with her head resting on one of his plush pillows. She had lit candles all over the place since there had been no power.
“Lana,” he whispered as he walked towards her sleeping form only to freeze when glowing amethyst eyes snapped open in alert.
“She’s not here, Clark,” she said in a cool tone that held some strange emotion that Clark could not identify, “She’s not…anywhere.”
“What do you mean,” Clark asked half expecting her to go crazy at any minute and have him hanging by his toes just so she could tickle him to death…or something.
She got to her feet and by the gods did she look drop dead sexy in all that skin tight leather. Where in the hell did she get it?
She walked towards the desk to look at some of this sketches of the symbols in the cave. Why didn’t she just blast him to pieces?
“Genevieve Teague,” Isobel said calmly, “Broke into Lana’s apartment and tried to kill her, Clark.”
“Jason’s mother,” Clark asked.
“Yes,” she said and she made the word sound scary, “She was strangling Lana and I came to her rescue once again. The girl just couldn’t seem to stay out of harms way.”
“Couldn’t,” Clark asked, “Why do you speak of her in the past?”
“I stabbed that bitch with the element,” Isobel said spinning around to face him, “And the golden light that summoned the meteors burned away Lana’s life force.”
“What,” Clark asked suddenly looking around as if lost, “You’re lying.”
“No,” she said shaking her head, “I can no longer feel her in here with me. She’s gone…Clark.”
“She was here,” Clark yelled turning around pointing to where she had been standing hours earlier, “She gave me the stone! She told me she loves me!”
“And she did,” Isobel said and for some odd and frightening reason…she wanted to hug him, “She was gone soon after and I woke up alone in here.”
“Why are you doing this to me,” Clark cried spinning back around to glare at her with glowing red eyes, “I’ve done nothing to you!”
“You burned my book,” she said turning thoughtful, “And challenged me in China.”
“You possessed my friends and attacked me first,” Clark yelled.
“My life was stolen from me by a band of fools,” she screamed in rage, “And that stupid bitch was trying to steal it again! I could not allow that!”
“You killed her,” Clark whispered.
“I protected my heir,” Isobel snarled and her eyes filled with violet fire, “Genevieve and that golden light killed her.”
“Get out,” Clark yelled, “I don’t even…can’t even stand to look at you!”
Her long violet hair began to coil like angry serpents about to strike but she calmed herself. She narrowed her eyes, “So be it, Kal-El.”
She picked up her cloak and glided past him only to stop.
“That alien bitch dropped this before she went buhbye,” she said and dropped his key to the wooden floor with a chink, “Looks like I did too.”
Clark turned and watched her glide down the steps like a violet phantom wearing the face of the girl he loved so much. Lana couldn’t be gone. She was still in there…somewhere deep…hidden. She just had to be.
“Kal-El,” a soft voice asked and he looked to see Kai-El floating outside the window, “May I come in?”
888888888888888888888888888888888888
Isobel strolled out of the barn with black silk billowing in the warm air to see the two elder Kent’s stop dead in their tracks. She simply strolled by them and was about to vanish when a loud crash came from within the barn.
“Lana,” Mrs. Kent asked as Jonathan ran towards the barn, “Are you all right?”
“Lana is gone, Martha Kent,” Isobel said turning to look at the lovely woman with amethyst orbs.
“Isobel,” Martha asked in fear.
“Everyone in this little town seems to know my name,” she laughed as more crashes came from the barn, “How funny this is.”
Clark suddenly yelled and the two of them ran back to the barn.
8888888888888888888888888888888
“Its your fault,” Clark cried as he raced towards Kai-El and grabbed him around the waist causing them both to crash into the hay below, “You killed her!”
Kai-El did not fight back but he was defending himself from his cousin’s blows. He blocked what he could but some hit home. They hurt.
“Because of you and those stupid stones,” Clark screamed as he punched Kai-El in the nose with all his might, “Lana’s dead!”
Kai-El fell flat on his back and Clark jumped on top of him, “I’ll kill you and demolish that ice prison!”
Kai-El had had enough. A wave of kinetic energy pulsed from him and it sent Clark flying off of him. Cows scattered when Clark hit the ground creating a small crater with his ass.
Kai-El got to his feet and his nose healed in seconds. He walked towards Kal-El and he was pissed. What did he do? He’d done nothing to deserve this violence.
“Son,” a voice yelled and Kai-El spun around only to be tackled from behind by Clark.
He fell flat on his face with Clark holding him down hissing like some great cat, “You killed her!”
“Enough,” Kai-El thundered and sent Clark flying back once again, “I have done nothing!”
Clark crashed into the ground and sprang to his feet, “Liar!”
“You,” Kai-El pointed, “Should have done as your father commanded, Kal-El.”
Isobel raced out of the back of the barn and Martha was right behind the violet witch. How in the hell was she able to run in those heels? Was she crazy?
“You who,” Isobel called out in a sing song voice, “Don’t make me separate you two.”
Question answered.
“Stay out of this,” Clark hissed and was blinded with rage as he stalked around his cousin and it reminded Jonathan of what a shark does to its prey, “I hate you!”
Kai-El stumbled back in pain. He ripped off Clark’s jacket and fell to his knees as he clutched at the burning symbol over his heart.
Clark heard him whimper in fear, “Uncle?”
“What’s the matter with you,” Clark yelled even though his chest burned like fire, “Get up and fight me!”
His anger and his pain was too much for Kai-El to block. He fell on his side and curled up in pain. He felt as though a thousand sharp blades were taking turns stabbing at his heart.
Clark ran at him but was blasted back by a violet beam of light. He crashed head over heels into the dirt and just laid there.
“Well,” Isobel cackled, “That’s one way to end a brawl.”
Martha ran to her Son with Jonathan hot on her heels wanting to know what the hell was going on…and who the hell is this young man Clark was fighting.
Isobel glided over to kneel at the whimpering man’s side and was taken by his unearthly eyes. The were so blue and filled with such fear.
Clark sat up and just glared at her, “Stay out of this you ghost!”
“This man has done nothing to hurt Lana,” Isobel said honestly, “You need to calm down before you snap your daddies’ wrist.”
Clark’s eyes widened in horror and he quickly released his Dad who cradled his hand. His eyes filled with tears and he was on his feet running away as fast as he could.
Kai-El quickly sat up and took to the air after him in a burst of speed. He had to show him the truth…or they were both doomed.
Martha shouted after Clark but he was already too far gone.
She turned to the violet haired witch, “Who was that young man? He had Clark’s symbol.”
“Not a clue,” Isobel said getting to her feet taking in her appearance, “Oh my, it would appear that my clothes are dirty.”
Martha and Jonathan both watched with open mouths as she vanished in glowing wisps of violet light. What in the hell was going on?
8888888888888888888888888888
Clark raced across the fields and through corn at tremendous speed. He had to get away. He had to think. He hurt his Dad. Lana was gone. Smallville was in ruins. Chloe knew his secret. He had a cousin. It was too much. It was all too much.
“Kal-El,” Kai-El called to him from several feet above his head, “Please, stop.”
“Go away,” Clark yelled, “Leave me alone!”
“I can’t do that,” Kai-El called back as he grabbed at his heart to ease the pain, “Please, stop, Kal-El.”
“No,” Clark yelled and ran faster only to feel strong arms go around his narrow waist.
“Stop,” he screamed and kicked his long muscular legs that were now off the ground angrily, “Let me go!”
He reached up in wrath and grabbed a hold of Kai-El’s sun yellow hair which made the young man cry out as they both fell. They crashed into the ground and seemed to roll for miles.
The two of them crashed through trees and good size rocks until coming to a halt in the middle of some forest.
Clark was laying on top of Kai-El and raised his head up to look down and see that he was out cold. He gazed at his naked chest to see that the tattoo over his heart was glowing a very angry red. What the hell?
He rolled off of him and got to his feet looking down at his fallen “cousin” with burning eyes. What did Jor-El say about him being his consort? What a load of horse shit.
He turned around and began to walk away only to stop when he heard a soft whimper of pain. He looked back to see that Kai-El was clutching at the tattoo with unknowable pain on his handsome face.
He walked back to him and sat down next to him. Why had he attacked him like that? All of this was Jor-El’s fault, not his. He would never see Lana again because of those stupid stones.
“Kal-El,” Kai-El whispered through gritted teeth, “It’s nobody’s fault.”
“How did you,” Clark demanded in outrage, “Know what I was thinking?”
“Empathy,” Kai-El hissed as he tried to sit up, “Your feelings hurt me.”
Clark narrowed his eyes, “This is all Jor-El’s fault.”
“No,” Kai-El said feeling Clark’s rage towards him lesson somewhat, “Jor-El loves you. He would never do anything that would hurt you.”
Clark closed his eyes, “Stop saying that.”
“I speak only truth,” Kai-El said getting to his knees, “He saved you…us…Kal-El.”
Clark opened his eyes and glared at him, “My name is Clark.”
His eyes were so blue that he didn’t know what to compare them to. They did not look earthly at all. His eyes were like molten gems. He was definitely going to need contacts.
A bronze hand touched his shoulder, “What are contacts?”
His hair. He wanted to touch that golden yellow hair that looked soft as silk. It looked as though it were spun from sunlight.
“You can if you want,” Kai-El whispered.
“Stop that,” Clark snapped and fought not to blush, “Reading people’s thoughts without their permission is invasion of privacy and its rude as hell.”
“I apologize,” Kai-El said and leaned back away from him.
“Lana,” Clark whispered as a tear fell from an emerald orb.
Kai-El could feel his pain and it saddened him greatly. He loved this Lana very much. Would he ever love him like that?
“Kal-El,” Kai-El whispered leaning towards him, “It’s not your fault either.”
And it wasn’t. Kal-El had been raised by humans…so therefore he thought like a human. All of this alien stuff from the past was simply too much for him to handle all at once like this. The stones, the sky falling, alien dictators, an alien palace, and a cousin falling from the sky was too much for him to handle in one day…not to mention the death of a loved one whose body was now occupied by something with incredible powers.
All of his cousins emotions and thoughts were a raging thunderstorm. Kai-El was having trouble reading them because of how rapid they changed. Love, hurt, betrayal, and anger were the main ones.
Clark froze when he felt Kai-El pull him down so that his head now rested against his naked chest that was hard as a rock… and yet soft as a pillow. His cousin seemed to radiate heat…like him. He smelled of something nice, but he could not place the scent.
“You can cry,” Kai-El whispered as he ran his bronze fingers through his taller cousin’s dark hair, “No one has to know. I wont tell.”
Clark wrapped his arms around his waist and let the silent tears fall as his cousin played with his hair. He should smack Kai-El for reading his thoughts again. How else did the young man know that he wanted someone to come hold him?
Kai-El began to hum a soft lullaby that he remembered from so long ago. He did not know the words but he knew the melody. His tune was rich and sweet as honey. It seemed to calm Clark down some.
“That melody,” Clark whispered, “It sounds…familiar.”
“I know,” Kai-El said, “My mother use to sing it to me…and you as well probably.”
“I can’t believe I’m letting you do this,” Clark said.
“Holding you,” Kai-El asked, “What is wrong with that?”
“Its just weird,” he answered, “And I’m not gay.”
“Gay,” Kai-El asked with a confused expression, “What is gay?”
Clark let him go and sat up to look at his cousin’s genuinely confused expression, “You don’t know what gay is?”
Kai-El shook his head, “No, but I see two males kissing in your head. Is that gay?”
“Yes,” Clark said suddenly wishing he had a tinfoil hat on like he saw on the movie Signs.
“What is wrong with that,” Kai-El asked, “It is…was done on Krypton all the time.”
“Say what,” Clark asked feeling like Lord God Jehova Almighty was going to rain down some fire and brimstone on his little alien head…oh wait…he already did that today.
“Males kiss,” Kai-El said, “What is wrong with that?”
“That’s not how things are done here on Earth,” Clark said, “Here, its looked down on in a bad way.”
“Why,” Kai-El asked.
“I don’t know,” Clark said, “Something to do with religion and all that.”
“Religion,” Kai-El asked.
Clark ran his big golden hands through his dark hair in frustration, “Gay is not liked here on Earth, okay…there is to be no gayness up in here.”
Kai-El narrowed his eyes, “Who says? This Jehova person?”
“You don’t say that out loud,” Clark hissed looking around for lightning or a swarm of locusts, “Don’t say that name out loud.”
“Why,” Kai-El asked, “As if lightning or a swarm of those insects could hurt you anyways.”
Clark rolled his eyes, “I give up.”
“How am I to learn,” Kai-El asked and then narrowed his eyes, “What is…Ah…I see…I think I will like this Internet.”
“Yes,” Clark said getting to his feet, “Now will you please stop reading my mind?”
“I will try,” Kai-El said, “Just try not to think so loudly.”
Clark rolled his eyes, “Whatever.”
“And why do you keep picturing me kissing you,” Kai-El asked, “If it is so wrong?”
“Stop that,” Clark yelled, “Stay out of my head!”
“And no,” Kai-El said, “That pointy tin looking hat will not block my power.”
“Shit,” Clark hissed and turned to run away as fast as he could only for Kai-El to grab his wrist and spin him around so that he could lean up and kiss Clark right on the lips.
Clark’s eyes opened wide in fear and anger…and then something else began to happen. A strange sensation was filling his mouth. It was almost as if he could taste Kai-El’s soul on the tip of his tongue. It was as if a song was filling his mind and it tasted sweeter than honey.
He put his hands on either side of Kai-El’s face and Kai-El wrapped his arms around his neck. It felt as though he were being spun around really quickly and images were assaulting his mind. He could see flashes of pinks and violets…and colors he had no names for. There was a moon that took up most of the night and day sky…and a vast frozen landscape that was beautiful beyond what mere words could ever dream of describing.
The song in his mind was now louder and brighter than ever. That was when he pulled his face away and realized that his feet were no longer touching the ground. He turned from molten blue gems that burned like stars to see that they were miles above the ground. His grip on Kai-El tightened as he gazed down at all the towns and cities that were now below his feet.
“I will never let you fall, Kal-El,” Kai-El whispered, “Wont you float with me among the stars?”
Clark turned his gaze from the earth below to the star filled heavens above. It was so wonderful to be floating all the way up here…but it was strange to be doing it in the arms of a man…a very strong man…a very…handsome man. Did he just kiss a man? He just kissed his cousin!
“My looks pale in comparison next to you, Kal-El,” Kai-El smiled as Clark tightened his grip on him.
“Whatever,” Clark said looking at just how big the moon really is, “This is…nice.”
“Isn’t it,” Kai-El asked, “And you didn’t even urinate on yourself this time…I’m so pleased.”
“Shut up,” Clark snapped and wondered why the hell was he blushing like an idiot.
Kai-El laughed and it was deep and rich…like dark chocolate, “You are wondering about that kiss.”
“Which you totally did not have my permission to give,” Clark said and then lowered his eyes, “But it was…really good…freaky because you‘re my cousin and all…but really good.”
“But,” Kai-El said, “None of that gayness up in here.”
“What was all that stuff I saw,” Clark asked looking up into those molten blue gems that seemed to glow like crystals in sunlight.”
“Memories,” Kai-El said, “Of our world.”
“I remember seeing them before,” Clark said, “When I was tricked by Lionel and abused by Dr. Garner.”
“I see,” Kai-El said and hid his anger at this Lionel but Kal-El seemed to have feelings for this man.
“Lara,” Clark said, “That was my biological Mother’s name.”
“Yes,” Kai-El said, “Lara-El.”
“I wish I could of seen her face,” Clark said feeling the sadness he had felt that day returning.
“She loved you,” Kai-El said.
“I know,” Clark whispered, “Her only fear was that I wouldn’t be loved.”
“But you are loved,” Kai-El smiled brightly as he floated back so Clark could lie on him, “Everyone I am seeing in your mind loves you.”
“Shit,” Clark hissed, “I left Isobel with my parents.”
Kai-El felt his urgency and his fear, “Hold on to me tightly, Kal-El.”
“Oh, shit,” Clark screamed as the two of them shot off like a sunbeam through the night sky.
