Once cleared by Janet as fit to duty all the team inclusive of Jacob met in the briefing room with General O Neill. There was a conference call on with the Joint Chief of Staff . All information was being pulled and a little late but none the less welcome was Colonel Ceckov of Russia.

Some how a plan had been thwarted as a day or so later all of the heads of States and all the heads of Governments on Earth were going to meet on PX496 to discuss an international world treaty to ensure that earth would not fall prey to the greedy hand of those who did not have the scruples of the Asguard and the Tollans. Jonas had arrived with Queen Elizabeth and due to his genetic interference from Nittri he immediately sensed that all was not as it should be.

He had told the welcome party that the Queen was merely his aide and they were using all precautions to ensure her safety now that he was sure he would return with his aide and bring back the queen. The party saw no fault with this and allowed him to Gate the Queen back but instead of sending her to Earth he sent her to an obscure planet then gated with her to several other planets before returning her to the Alpha site. Jonas and another female who was the wife of a retired General returned to PX496 and immediately were killed but before he died Jonas’s symbiote was extracted and captured and was about to be placed into a gullible human in order for Lord YU to gain the information required.

His plan failed and now the Torka were missing an operative whom it would appear all evidence showed him to be the instigator of this treason.

Their mission was simple find this traitor and bring him to the Justice of the Torka people.

General Hammond stood and addressed the Group “We know he is on PX496 and I hate to tell this to you but he is known to us. I am so sorry Major it is Pete”

Silence fell on the group no one said a thing San sat shocked Jacob sat straight and leaned over to his daughter and whispered something that was for her ears alone. Tealc remained Stoic . Daniel looked Stunned and Jack just looked at Sam.

Only Colonel Checkov spoke “we will find him Major and keep him safe”

Hammond spoke again “Our plan is simple Checkov will cover the Russian gate in case he uses that. SG2 and the rest will cover the Mountain, a wide scale alert is out in every airport and seaport in the world, The boundaries of every country are being secured as we speak. If he returns to earth we will know about it before h has taken his first step. It is the belief of myself and the Joint Chiefs that he is still on PX496, therefore SG1 and Jacob will return. If you find him Jacob will use the abandoned flyer to bring him to the Torka failing that gate him to PX111 where a tem will be waiting. Dismiss"

Within the hour the SG1 team had returned to PX496. It proved fairly easy to locate Pete he was dead and it looked as if he died at the hands of a Jaffa. but his symbiote was missing.

Hammond was contacted and told the team to make there way to PX111 and Jacob to meet with his Torka friends at the nearest planet. As he was speaking a loud shriek could be heard a local woman came screaming down the clearway in her hand a spear she was aiming straight for Talc shouting "Sholva Sholva you will die at the hand of your god."

Sam used her Zap gun and the woman lay stunned.

"Change of Plan George" said Jacob, he then bowed his head and as Selmet he said “It would be in the best interests of this poor woman if I took her to the Torka to see if we can restore her. It would be a wise precaution if Major Carter and Tealc were to escort me in case of difficulties along the way"

"Difficulties as usual you are a master of understatement Selmet" replied George" You should make tracks before she tries to kill my best warrior again. Oh! and Selmet let me speak to Jacob"

"As you wish" Selmet bowed his head" what is it George" asked Jacob

"I don't need to remind you what is at stake but I want my team back whole and safe. I know Sam is your daughter but she is my Major and I want Tealc safe but most of all Jacob I want you safe"

"AWW George your only saying that because it is my turn to but the single malt " laughed Jacob

"Damn Straight it is and don't you go thinking that a minor thing like your death gets you out of paying" laughed George "Jacob Good Luck and hurry Back Hammond Out"

Jack and Daniel watched as Jacob took off with the prisoner Tealc and Sam on board. Jack tried to gate out but could not get through. He contacted Hammond

Hammond told then that there must be a fault at the site and he could only get an outgoing wormhole. He sent through supplies and Torka Jack and Daniel to get safe and rest and they would contact the Torka to pick them up as soon as was safe . He let them know that there were no other life signs on the planet but on the other side of the gate just five miles east was a good camp site all the buildings in the main dwellings had been burned to the ground and the inhabitants of the planet appeared to have been removed or where never there and the whole thing a set up. Jack asked him how long before repairs could be made or the Torka could collect them. He was told four days at best a week at worst. A MALP came through with a two man tent and sleeping bags clothes and food and drink provisions. It was agreed that they would report twice a day.

Jack wondered how the hell he was going to survive sharing a tent with the one person in the world that he desired and had no hope of getting.

Daniel prayed that he could get through this time without disgracing himself to sleep with Jack in a tent with no one else present it was his heaven and his hell
