Revelations
The plane landed and she felt as though she had arrived in her worst nightmare. She had to explain it so he would understand but it would be simple to do. his fingers were laced through hers as they walked through the arrivals with their suitcases.
Hannah saw Maria stood by the doors and turned to Spencer, “Wait here a second, I’ve got to go speak with a friend.”
He smiled in agreement and she walked away, running to Maria and the car seat on the ground beside her.
“Miss Jacobs,” Maria hugged Hannah tightly, “Jessica has just woke up.”
“Wow,” Hannah cooed, unbuckling the baby and lifting her from the car seat, “Someone got so big in such a short time. I’ve missed you so much.”
“She giggles now,” Maria said, “Such a cute laugh.”
“She’s laughing?” Hannah kissed her daughter on the forehead, “Whose my big girl?” Hannah paused looking over her shoulder, “Come on Maria, there’s someone I want you to meet.”
Hannah walked back over to Spencer, holding her daughter to her chest. “Spence, this is Maria, she takes care of Jessica.”
“Jessica?” He asked, shaking Marias hand in a confused way.
“I think I’ll go get a drink,” Maria muttered disappearing quickly.
“This is Jessica,” Hannah said, turning her daughter towards Spencer, “She’s my daughter. Our daughter.”
