Something New
" Uncle Ric." I said.
" Gabriella?" He asked.
" Another one of you ex's?" A woman asked.
" His niece." I said. : Gabriella Rivera-Corinthos."
" Ella this is Alexis Davis-Lansing my wife." He said.
" Nice to meet you." I smiled.
" You too." She said.
" I didn't know you were in town." Ric said. " Is everything ok?"
" For the most part." I smiled.
" When is your baby due?" Alexis asked.
" Alexis!: Ric said.
" Look at her Ric." She said.
" She's right Uncle Ric...I'm three and a half months along." I said. " But I'm really happy..."
" Are you ok?" Ric asked. I nodded.
" I'm fine." I smiled.
" And the father?" Ric asked.
" What about him?" I asked.
" Who?" He asked.
" Not. Important." I sighed, smiling. " As long as none of my family is angry with me, I'm perfect."
" Why would we be angry?" Ric asked.
" Because I'm 17, not married, not dating, and pregnant." I said.
" And you're going to school? And planning your life? And happy?" He asked. " Right?
" Right." I said.
" Exactly." He said. I left a few minutes later and went to the park. Lucky was there. He walked up to me.
" Did you sign the papers?" I asked.
" No." He said. " I'm-"
" Then leave me alone." I said.
" Ella." He said.
" Go away." I said.
" Gabriella." Lucky said.
" Lucky this is my baby. Unlike you I didn't deny it when I found out." I said. " Lucky please just leave me alone."
" You're carrying my child-" I cut him off.
" I'm carrying MY child." I said. Then I turned to walk away. I went and sat down by the creek. And I cried. Mainly out of frustration.
" Are you ok?" I heard behind me. I wiped my eyes quickly.
" Yeah." I said, hoping the person would leave.
" You sure?" He asked. I nodded. " Is there someone I can call for-"
" I'm fine." I said. I stood up without looking.
" Wow." I heard him say.
" Do you make it a habit to hit on girls?" I asked annoyed.
" Ones like-" I cut him off, turning around.
" Me? Three and a half months pregnant? Single? Etc?" I said turning to face him.
" Miss Corinthos?" Max, one of my father's men asked.
" You're Sonny Corinthos' daughter?" The boy asked.
" Gabriella." I said.
" Dillion...Quartermaine." He said.
" Then you know Jason?" I asked.
" My cousin." He said. He was really cute.
" Miss-" I cut Max off.
" I'm ok." I said. He walked a little distance away.
" I don't usually hit on girls, I wanted to see if I could find out who you were." Dillion smiled.
" Really." I said, rhetorically. He laughed.
I saw Dillion a lot over the next two weeks.
" Ella, you know you can stay here. You're mom and I talked about it and decided we'd leave it up to you." My dad said.
" Really?" I smiled. He nodded. " I want to stay here for a little while longer."
" Ok." My dad said. My mom and Miguel left a few days later.
" Thank you Momma." I said.
" this is your home too." She smiled. " Don't let that boy slip away." She whispered. I smiled.
" Quit encouraging her." My dad laughed. " Have a safe flight Lily."
" Bye Sonny." She said. " And thanks."
After they were gone I started to leave.
" Where do you think you are going?" He asked.
" To see Dillion?" I asked.
" Vitamins?" He asked.
" Yep." I said.
" Did you call and set an appointment with Dr. Meadows?" He asked.
" Yep." I said. " Can I go now?" He nodded. I hugged him then went to see Dillion.
" Hey." Dillion said.
" Hey!" I smiled.
" How are you feeling?" He asked.
" Pretty good." I said.
" No-" I cut him off.
" Don't you'll jinx me." I laughed. He laughed.
" Lucky's parents are downstairs in Carly's club." Dillion said. We were at Kelly's.
" Oh no." I said. " I should go talk to them."
“ It’s not law that you have to.” Dillion said.
“ It’s the right thing to do.” I said.
“ They’ll try to change your mind.” He said.
“ That’ll never happen.” I said.
“ Let’s get out-” He was cut off.
“ Gabriella.” Luke said.
“ Luke. Laura.” I said.
“ You look well.” Luke said.
“ Can’t complain.” I said. “ How are you?”
“ We’d be great is you weren’t trying to steal our grandchild.” Laura said.
“ Lucky made that decision.” I said.
“ You want him to hand over rights.” Laura said. Lucky walked in.
“ He denies it’s even his.” I said a little louder. “ Ask your precious son what he said when I told him.” I paused. “ Go ahead. Tell them Lucky.” Nobody said anything. Not even Luke. “ He said ‘it’s not mine’” I waited. “ Now you tell me how someone who’s only been with one person gets pregnant, but it’s not that man’s baby.”
“ Mom. Dad.” Lucky said. “ Let’s go.”
“ No. I’m not letting her take my-“ Dillion cut her off.
“ Everyone just back off Ella…” Dillion said.
“ I’m fine.” I said. “ Lucky sign the damn papers.”
“ No way in hell.” Luke said.
“ Come on Ella.” Dillion said. I left with him.
