Chapter 4
Christy and Jamie was sitting on the couch whenever the phone rang a week later. Clint grabbed it up and nodded to the girls.
"Ok. Got that. Yeah. The Stadium. Yeah. I will send them shopping. No I don't think so. Yep. I'll tell her. We going for formal or casual?. Ok. I will pass it on. Later Brother."
He turned to the girls. "Well. That was Paul. They will be here two weeks from now. Jamie, Will you take Christy and go clothing shopping? You know what he likes."
Jamie nodded her head. "The day before we will go and spend the day with Mamma. Girl's day out."
Clint nodded and went back to his paper.
Two Weeks Later
Mary woke the girls up early. "Ok my loving children. Today we are going to go shopping and spend the day at the spa. We haven't had a girl's day out in a while so off we go."
As soon as the girls were showered and dressed the first place they went was the spa for massages and a few hours of pampering. Jamie and Christy were enjoying the entire thing. Christy had to know something and she turned to Mary.
"Mamma. What does his son look like?"
Mary turned to her. " I can't tell you that. It would ruin the surprise."
Christy started pouting and Jamie laughed. "Sis. That so ain't going to work with Mamma anymore. You know that."
Christy looked at her. "Can't blame a chick for trying."
The girls finished getting pampered and soon drove to the mall. Jamie ran up the sidewalk and stood in front of the ad board. Mary looked over her shoulder and saw the ad that was up there. She nodded and pulled Christy over to the right. "Now what to get. I think we should start with clothes and then move to shoes."
The girls agreed and soon walked into the clothing store. Christy shook her head as Mary was throwing stuff at her to try on. Finally after a hour Christy found an outfit that Jamie swore was just perfect. They then walked over to the shoe store and within five minutes Christy had found the right shoes. They took the things out to the car and by then Christy was so tired she couldn't think. Mary had purposely woke them up early to wear Christy out to the point of exhaustion. Once they returned home Christy went straight to bed and was asleep before her head even hit the pillow.
The next night Mary ran the girl's upstairs to get dressed. Once they were out of ear shot Mary turned to her sons. "Ok you three. She has no idea what is going on. I mean she knows she is meeting him tonight but she doesn't know who he is really. All she knows is that he is Paul's son. She doesn't know what they do for a living. We wanted to surprise her so behave yourselves tonight. I mean it."
The three boys nodded and Jamie came back down. "Hey Mamma. is Vinny going to be there?"
Mary nodded. "Paul called earlier and told me. So you better behave also."
Jamie nodded and looked up the stairs as Christy came down. Josh stood up. "Hey. Who are you and what did you do with Christy?"
Christy slapped his shoulder. "Josh. Darn you. Now I want to change."
Clint wrapped his arms around her shoulders. "You look great Chris. Come on. No time to change."
Everyone got in the car and they left.
The six of them walked into the stadium. Christy's eyes went huge. "Oh my. We are at a bike show." She clapped her hands and bounced on her feet in excitement. Clint laughed and moved them over towards where he knew his brother was set up at.
Mikey walked over to Paul. "Hey dad. There is Clint. Which one is she?"
Paul looked up and then he motioned to Pauly. "Hey Pauly. There is Clint. Look at the girl beside Mary."
They were not close enough to notice them yet. Pauly could see the girl plain as day. His eyes went huge as he looked at the woman. She was dressed in a pair of bell bottoms that sat low on her hips. Her shirt was a dark blue, tight tank top that ended above her belly button. He could tell she was wearing biker boots. Her hair was pulled up in a pony tail. He let out a breath and looked at his dad.
"Do you like her?" Paul asked.
Pauly swallowed and blew out a breath. "Thing is will she like me?"
Jamie pulled her up to the railing. "See that bike? It is called the P.O.W. Bike. It was made for the prisoner's of war. He put a lot of work into that bike."
Christy inched forwards to get a closer look at the detail on the bike. She looked over at Jamie and whistled. "Damn. That is one sweet bike. I wonder how long it took to make it?"
"It took three weeks."
Christy looked up and smiled at the guy standing there. "Oh. I really like the workmanship in it." Mikey rolled his eyes and looked at Clint. He shrugged his shoulders. Christy looked up at Jamie. "So. Is there anymore of their bikes here?"
Mikey nodded and pulled Pauly over. "This is my brother. He made the fireman bike over there. Why don't you show it to her."
Pauly glared at Mikey and then nodded. Christy walked over to where he was standing and they started talking about the bike. Paul walked over to Clint. "She still has no idea huh?"
Clint shook his head. "What time you gonna be finished here? We can head on out to the restaurant and meet you all there."
Paul looked at his watch. "We should be done in about an hour."
Clint nodded and walked over to Christy. "Hey honey. We have reservations. We need to get out of here. We can come back tomorrow."
Christy nodded and shook Pauly's hand. "Thanks for answering my questions."
He nodded and walked off. Christy then left with the rest of them not knowing that Pauly was staring after her.
An hour later found Paul,Pauly and Mikey walking into a restaurant. "Yes. We are here for a reservation with Clint."
The man nodded and walked them to a private room. They opened the door and walked in. Clint looked up and smiled. "Christy. I think you remember my brother. This is his son Pauly."
Christy looked up and her face went into a frown. She glared over at Jamie. "You didn't tell me.", she hissed.
Pauly laughed out. "Well that would have kind of ruined the surprise now wouldn't it? Does it matter?"
Christy shook her head and looked down at her menu. She kicked Josh under the table and smiled. "That's ok. It really doesn't matter to me. Again thanks for answering my questions."
He nodded and then looked at his menu. They all ordered and silence was met as they ate.
