ch 39
Greg pulled up to the Grissom’s and gathered up Sam and her things and went inside. Amy and Lindsay followed.
“Sara, we are home.” Greg spoke as he walked in the door. “I have your children.”
Amy went about gathering her things as Lindsay sat and talked to Sara and Catherine. Greg went to put Sam to bed.
“Wow, Greg is good with the kids.” Catherine commented.
“Yes, he is great and the kids love him too.”
Sara seems all right now. Lindsay thought. I hope Amy is wrong; Sara and Uncle Gil are great people.
Amy appeared in the living room with her backpack on her shoulder. “I’m ready to go.”
Catherine approached Greg. “Can I talk to you for a minute Greg?”
“Sure Cath, what can I do for you?”
“I have an errand to run. Would you mind taking the girls home. I’ll give you money for pizza and some movies, I will be home shortly.”
“Sure thing, Cath.” Greg chimed.
Cath passed him her house key.
“No parties, Greg.” Catherine joked.
“No problemo.” Greg looked to the girls. “Are you ready?”
Both giggled in unison.
“I take that as a sign you are.” They nodded. “Come on.”
“How would you two lovely ladies like to escort me to the mall?”
They giggled.
I need to do some serious intervention. Catherine thought determined to do something.
She opened her cell phone and dialled the number.
“Hello.” The person on the other end answered.
“It’s Catherine.”
