Willows.”
“Catherine it’s Sara. I need a woman to talk to, can you come over?”
“Sure thing. I’ll bring Lindsay too.”
“Ok great.”
Sara paced as she waited for Catherine to arrive. How am I going to be able to do this? We can’t afford a private jet. What am I supposed to do?
The doorbell rang.
“Sara.” Catherine’s voice chimed.
“Hey.”
“Where do you want to talk?”
“I have a craving for ice cream, can we go out?”
“Sure.”
“I need to call Greg.”
“Sanders.”
“Hey Greg, it’s Sara.”
“Hey girl, what can I do for you?”
“What are you doing?”
“Not much, why?”
“Could you come over and sit with Gil and the kids, please. Just for a few.”
“Sure thing, Sara, anything for my favorite ladies, I will be right over.”
Sara looked to Catherine. “Greg is on his way over.”
“Ok good.”
Greg’s arrival didn’t take long. He walked in and Sam squealed. She loved Greg, he played with her. Amy and Lindsay retreated to the den to watch a movie.
“Ok, Greg, we will not be long.”
“Take your time, I can handle this.”
Sara left with Catherine.
“So Sara, do you really have a craving for ice cream?”
“Yes. Why?”
“I thought you may have needed an excuse to escape.”
“I needed that too.”
“So what is on your mind?” Catherine pulled into the Baskin Robbins. They walked inside.
“Gil, what else.”
“What is wrong now? What do you want, Sara?”
“Mint Chocolate chip. Cath, I’m so worried about him. I just got off the phone with the doctor before I called you. We need a private jet to fly him to Florida. How the hell are we going to pay for that?”
Sara sobbed lightly.
“I’m sure you can figure something out, have you called the lab?”
“No. I figured they would tell me it is my problem.”
“I’ll talk to Ecklie for you so that you can focus all of your energies on Gil.”
“Thanks Cath.”
“No problem.”
Sara’s cell phone rang, it was her house. Oh no Gil!
“Hello, Greg, what’s wrong with Gil?” Sara nearly screamed.
“He is coughing a little, is that right?” Greg was worried; you could hear it in his voice.
“I don’t know.” Sara sobbed. “What am I supposed to do?”
Catherine took the phone. “Greg, call Doc Robbins, we will be right there.”
“He won’t go back to the hospital, Sara so bring the doctor to him.”
