FALLEN ANGELS

I reach over to take Hello Brooklyn off of loop as I fit my own cigarette between my lips. I put on Fallen Angels by Black Veil Brides as I reach into my pocket. Christopher Drew's voice fills the
room. I straighten my shoulders as I pull a lighter out of my pocket. My head comes up as I light my cigarette. I stare straight into Dean's eyes.
"First things first; I know you smoke Dean. I can smell it on your breath. If you refuse that cigarette I shall be insulted so please just smoke it and lets avoid at least a modicum of
argument," Dean's shoulders drop as I pass the lighter to Sean. "In regards to why I am in this chair I'm perfectly happy to tell you, but unfortunately it is not my story alone, it belongs to both
of us," I look up at Sean as he passes the lighter to Dean. "I need his permission to tell you as well and though I am comfortable with re-opening old wounds, he is not. I don't fancy your chances.
It depends what kind of mood he's in."

To my surprise Sean nods his had in ascent as Dean throws the lighter to me, I move quickly to catch it, sending pain shooting through my back and causing my wholde body to tense, I see an
apology on the older man's lips. "Don't bother. It happens a lot, I'm used to it. This is quite a long story, so I'd get your selves comfy if I were you. It all started about four years ago, I'd
best start there as well." The brothers settle back in their seats as I take a long drag on my cigarette. "We'd known each other for years, although at this point we were just friends."

Sean shoufts slightly beneath me as I blow out a long plume of smoke and I grasp the opposite arm of the sofa and pull myself across so I'm sitting next to him rather than on top of him, the
exertion making me wince. "I guess it was nearly losing each other that brought us together in the way that we were always meant to be. The reason that I'm in this chair is because I saved
his life." I take his hand in mine as I tap my ash into an ashtray. "He'd always been one of the popular kids in school, in fact he was a bully. Even he'll admit that, unfortuanately that was
what nearly killed him." I tighten my grip on his hand.

Sean grips my hand a little harder as I stub my cigarette out.

Sean's knuckles go white against mine, the pressure on my hand slowly increasing, I raise my eyebrow to him and he looks at me questioningly, I look down at our joined hands and his eyes widen
as the pressure disappears. "When you act the way that he did, it doesn't matter how popular you are, eventually you're going to piss off the wrong person and that's exactly what he did. The
guys name was Angel Gibson."
The pressure returns to my hand, this time stronger tan it was before, I try to catch Sean's eye but he is staring dead ahead, I don't think that he even knows that I am here, he's
completely lost in the past. "Angel was a drug lord arund the area, he's had an interest in me for a few years and didn't care that it didn't matter to me in the slightest, it wasn't happening.
Then Sean found out about it." I wince as the pressure in my hand begins to increase again. "He knew Angel. They'd done business together before. Everyone had. Angel had his fingers
in everything." Dean sees that I am in pain and moves forward to mave Sean but I shake my head. "As soon as Sean heard that Angel was all over my case he went round there. To
reason with him."
Sam leans forward just s his brother did but I again shake my head at him, clearly indicating that to touch Sean right now would be a very bad idea. Iknow the past that he is seeing,
trying to drag him out of it could be dangerous. "That's how it started at least but there's no reasoning with Angel. Sean should have known that. The converstaion quickly turned into an
argument." I can no longer feel my fingers. "If Angel had had guns in the house we'd probably both be dead by now. I was walking past and heard the shouting. I recognised Sean's voice,
though we weren't a couple then we were still close." Sean's entire body jerks. "I was worried that Angel would hurt him so I went running in, hoping to diffuse the situation before
anything happened."
Dean is sat to attention now, watching Sean intently. The man next to me is sat bolt upright, staring into space, not moving, my hand still imprisoned within the circle of his own as he
relives the story. "I was too late. By the time I entered the house Angel had backed Sean into a corner and had a claymore in his hand. A massive blade. A deadly blade. It was already moving
towards Sean's heart." Sam is also watching Sean now. "I shouted his name but the nise didn't have even the smallest affect on either of the men. The blade kept moving so I did the only
thing that I could."
Suddenly there is a loud crunching sound and the bones of my hand give way beneath Sean's fist, lancing pain shoots it's way through my hand but I don't cry out. It hurts, but I've
exerienced worse. "I got in the way of the blade. My interferancemessed up the stroke and I ended up with a bone deep gash from my right shoulder to my left hip, completely severing my
spinal cord." Sean looks down to see what the crunching noise was. "There has been power in e since I was born, more than even I knew then and it started to heal me instantly but without
me directing it, it botched the job." Dean moves towards Sean again but I shoot him a look of daggers.
Sam looks like he wants to emulate his brother but I give him the same look, clearly indicating that if either of them move towards my man they will have their throats ripped out,
family or not. "The power healed the break in my spine and the outer cut. It healed only enough to allow me to survive. It didn't repair nerves or muscles and it left one hell of a scar. In fact
it's so screwed up that I can't even fix it now." A red light has began to shine from my crushed hand. "I have near to full control of my power now and I still can't fix the damage."
Sean notices the healing light around my hand and quickly releases me. The fact that he has hurt me instantly pulling him out of his reverie as I endeavor to repair the damage. He looks
horrified. "Probably didn't help that I didn't just lie there and let myself be healed. I was a thirteen year old girl against a thirty-two year old man and I had no weapon, bu I didn't care. I
launched myself at him." Dean leans forward to inspect the light surrounding my hand. "I took him by surprise. No one expected me to still be alive, let alone be able to move. I smashed my fist
into his chest."
Sam gently takes my forearm between his hands as the red light completely vanishes. He feels his way gently around the bones of my hand, feeling for any irregularities but finding
none. "Problem was my fist didn't stop. It went right the way through him. I felt his spine, then I tore it out. Next thing I remember was waking up in a hospital with a load of doctors getting
in a flap." I take my hand back from Sam. "The couldn't work out what had happened and were all shouting questions at me. I refused to answer them, not until I saw Sean. They told me
that he's been arrested for murder." Sean gathers me in his arms.
Dean holds his hands out to inspect my hand just as Sam had done and I give it to him willingly. He forms my hand into a fist and I know exactly what he's thinking. How can something
so small be so deadly. "I instantly discharged myself from hospital, finding that I could walk although it caused me great pain. I walked to the police station and used the power of my voice
to force them to let Sean go." Sam nods in understanding. "The secnd he waked out of that cell my legs gave out and he caught me. He held me then and told me that he loved me. He bundled
me up in his arms." I take my hand back from Dean.
Sean pulls me into his lap and ten reaches down. He takes my hands, kissing each finger as he does so and then wraps them around his neck. The older men must see it as an apology, but
I know the truth. "He carried me home and ever since then wherever I go he follows. I was worried at first that he wasn't in love with me, he just thought he was, because of what happened, but
that hasn't crossed my mind for years." Dean finally relaxes bak into his seat. "I just know now that it's simply not true. He has shown me that a million times over but don't worry boys I won't
gross you out wit the details."
Just like that the spell is broken, the heavy atmosphere that had prevaded throughout the room is gone and everything feels lighter. Sean relaxes and I snuggle into him, happy to have
him back. "Now that we're done re-hashing old wounds we should probably get changed babe. You stink of beer, sweat and smoke and it's not in the least bit sexy. I probably don't smell any
better to be fair." The older men make a move to stand. "Don't bother. It's not as if we're going to change our underwear and besides ... you boys are family now."

I climb off of Sean's lap and move towards a suitcase in the corner of the room. Sean follows me and I quickly unzip the case. Dean turns so that he is facing away from me as I pull a yellow
t-shirt from the bag. Sam moves to copy his brother as I pull out a pair of pink shorts, red heeled ankle boots, a white short-sleeved button up shirt, a pair of green joggers and a pair of
yellow trainers. I pass the button-up shirt, joggers and trainers to Sean and the pair of us quickly get changed. I sit down at the vanity table and scrub off my make-up. I quickly replace
it with some blue winged out eyeliner.
"Well boys that's us done and I think that any more questions can wait for another time." I say as I grab everything and stuff it back into the suitcase before returning myself to the
wheelchair.
"We should go and speak to the others." Sean flings the door open and disappears to go and find the rest of the band. Knowing them they are at the bar and absolutely slaughtered.
That's their usual post gig ritual anyway.
"We've probably left them for too long. I just hope that the bar is still in one piece although that is probably too much to ask. Damn it!! It was Hannah's turn to drive back to the
hotel tonight. Sean is going to be pissed."

We follow Sean, Dean holding the door open for me and sure enough when we enter the bar we are greeted by a scene of utter chaos. Sean is supporting our blonde haired blue eyed guitarist
with a look of complete fury on his face. Hannah is so drunk that she doesn't even recognise him and is trying to shove her hand in his pants. Alex is dancing on the bar, his dark hair flopping
all over the place.

I look around and spot Xander passed out under a table. Sean bats Hannah's hand away and glares at her. The blonde just giggles at him and keeps trying to shove her hand down his pants. Alex
falls off the bar. Xander just shifts a little at the sudden noise and starts to snore. Dean goes over to Alex and slings the now unconscious guitarist over his shoulder. Sam grabs Xander and
copies his brothers action. These guys turn into a bunchof idiots as soon as they got a drop of alcohol into their system, it's actually kind of embarrising, not that they ever get embarressed
by their actions. I move over to the bar and apologise profusely to the bar tender. Sean takes $100 out of his pocket and gives it to her.

I put another $50 on top of Sean's and we all make our way towards the door. Sean pulls it open and holds it for everyone. Hannah is still trying to shove her hand down his pants but stops when
he threates to leave her at the bar and pay for the damage. Alex starts to come round and struggles in Dean's grip. Xander is still snoring away and has started to dribble down Sam's shoulder.
Dean fumbles in his pocket one handed and pulls out a car key. Sam takes the key from him and they make their way towards a very familiar car.
"Well, well, well, boys. I never thought I'd see that old beast before. I'm surprised Dad didn't get buried in the bloody thing. He was so in love with that car. He'd never let me drive it
though. Sean's had a spin in the beast. That pissed me off majorly. Not really my style though. I prefer a nice bike, like a Harley or a Chop, something like that. I still always hoped that I'd get
to take the old girl for a spin though. I was good enough to work on her but never good enough to drive her. That's the way it felt anyway. Even though it was probably never meant that way.
You know what Dad was like, it was always hard to tell. I'm not bitter, I always knew that he would give it to Dean. Just for safe-keeping thou, it was never meant for him. It was always
meant for Sam."

Everyone looks at me as I reach into my pocket. Obviously trying to work out who I was talking to as I pull out my tobacco tin. I just shrug my shoulders as I take out a cigarette. I push myself
over to my Dodge Charger as I put the lid back on the tin. Sean takes the keys from me when we get there as I place the tin back into my pocket. He unceremoniously dumps Hannah on the
back seat as I rummage around for my lighter. The drunken girl grumbles in indignation as she impacts with the seat and I pull a lighter out of my pocket. Hannah straightens herself out and
puts her belt on as I light my cigarette. Alex has recovered enough to get into the car on his own as I return the lighter to my pocket. Xander does the same as I take a drag of my cigarette.
The three band members are squashed into the back seat as I blow out a long plume of smoke.
