Whose that in the mirror?

She stared in the mirror blinking, she could hardly believe what she was seeing. Was there a girl looking back at her? Not a dirty street rat piled under layers of clothing. This person looking at her was unfamiliar, and this person had boobs...what the hell? After getting her hair cut to fix Adam's hack job, clothes were next on the agenda. Her hair now cut in a purposely shaggy bob, they front touch her chin but the back was a bit shorter. She liked it. She stared at the bra on the seat in the dressing room as if it were an offending object. She examined her muscular body for the first time in a while. She wasn't nearly as skinny as she should be but she was in fact skinny. Her body made up for it in muscle mass, she was tall for a girl, about 5'9". You could see her ribs lightly, but she was actually impressed with her boobs. The associate had told her they were a full B cup and if she got a little more meat on her bones they would probably grow more. She first pulled on the new underwear, boy shorts they called them. She pulled on the jeans that Adam picked out. He helped her with the clothes, but kindly asked the woman that worked there to help her with all undergarments, stating that it wasn't his area of expertise.

The jeans seemed to fight okay, she sighed again looking at the bra. After a moment she put it on. She raised an eyebrow at it in the mirror, hands on her hips. It felt weird and now her boobs looked odd. She flung open the door of the dressing room and looked to Adam whose face was one of shock.

"Is this supposed to fit like this?" She asked unabashed about her lack of shirt. Where as Adam politely turned away. The woman that had helped her earlier rushed over with a chuckle, "What?"

She laughed more, "Yeah, it's called a push up bra hun, trust me it looks good." The woman had been patient with her and very helpful even when Tori felt awkward. She knew these were things she should know but she didn't know much. She shrugged now at the woman and pulled on a black scoop neck shirt without closing the door.

"It's safe, she's clothed," the woman told him laughing a bit more.

Adam turned back around and smiled now, "There see, it does fit."

"You have an eye for women's clothing huh?" the lady asked grinning.

"No my dear, I have an eye for women," he replied. In truth if you're alive for a long time you learn stuff, whether on purpose or accidentally you just do.

Tori fiddled with the long sleeves and shifted a bit, she fiddled with her hair. Adam put a hand on her arm to relax her.

By the time they left, darkness had began to fall and she had several bags of clothing. Tori was getting the feeling that he never planned on her leaving to begin with. Though if he was going to keep buying her stuff, she didn't care too much. He seemed nice enough, a bit of a smart ass, but nice. She would play along with his weird notion just for the sheer fact that he did just give her stuff. He piled them all into the trunk of a cab and paid the driver to take them back to the hotel. Tori was quiet the entire ride.

Methos was beginning to realize that the girl was just quiet. He didn't bother asking the five hundred get to know you questions. He learned more by observing her. She seemed to be a bit jumpy, but she had long since relaxed around him. He didn't know if she had decided that she trusted him, or that if he did anything she didn't want him to she could take care of it. Most likely the latter, she didn't seem eager to trust anyone.

At the hotel Methos paid a bell hop to take all the bags up to her room. The two didn't stay there for more than five minutes. Now it was down to business, a graveyard would be a good place to start right? There seemed to be plenty around. She looked at him oddly now as they stopped outside the gates to a locked Cemetery. He knelt down to pick the lock.

Tori smiled a bit at that, then easily bent at the knee and propelled herself over the fence landing gracefully on her feet. She tossed back a smile at Adam. Adam sighed and gave her a mildly annoyed look and proceeded to climb the face landing a lot less gracefully than she did. She laughed and offered him a hand off the ground. He took the hand allowing her to pull him up then brushed the dirt from his tan duster.

"Show off," he muttered with the barest hint of a smile touching his lips.

"So what are we waiting for the vampires to come out?" she asked flatly.

"Actually," Adam sighed.

"Vampires!" she called, "Come out and try and bite me!"

Adam rolled his eyes, her disbelief was obvious. He would have disbelieved it too, but he had run into them several times. The first one he met was a sultry red head, and boy was she shocked when he got back up and cut off her head. It was a shame that such beauty had to be killed. He shrugged mentally before he became aware of movement in his peripheral vision.

"Careful what you ask for," Methos told her.

Standing in the shadows of a crypt a creature released it's previous meal and now checked out the new arrivals. She called to him, probably not knowing he was even there. A smile formed on his demonic face, he moved out of the shadows in plain view, growling a bit.

Tori was taken aback by the creature, it's face was hideous yet somehow familiar to her. She felt oddly at ease, but at the same time she knew it must die immediately. She knew she had to kill it.

"Don't underestimate him," Methos told her, he was suddenly very glad that there was only one. She could probably kill this one by herself, if not he'd have to lure the vampire off holy ground. Did that rule still count if you weren't fighting another immortal?

She looked a back at Adam, briefly before the creature lunged at her. She lifted her foot and caught him in the gut, then kicked him in the face. Behind her she heard an object flying toward her. She reached out and grabbed it. It wasn't until she looked down that she knew what it was, a wooden stake. She knew where to put it too. Unfortunately the vampire wasn't keen on the idea.

"Slayer?" The vampire looked surprised by this fact.

"I guess," she stated in a monotone voice.

She tried to stab it and successfully caught it in the shoulder.

"The heart," Adam stated, but she did notice he wasn't moving to help.

Her movements were sloppy, but effective for this particular creature. She was going to need a lot of training though. Adam flinched a bit when the vampire hit her in the face. For a second Victoria paused, but she didn't seem overly fazed.

"Ow," she muttered, kicking at it's side, it caught her foot and yanked her into himself.

"Hi pretty," it growled.

She got a really good look at his face now. The heavy ridged brow, the yellow demonic eyes, the fangs. His hand went to her hair and on instinct to plunged the stake forward and caught him in the heart. He was shocked, then he turned into a brownish dust. She nearly fell from the loss of him holding her leg.

"Now do you believe me?" Adam said sounding a bit relieved.

"I guess," she smiled a bit and then frowned again. This actually wasn't a HUGE shock. She'd been dreaming of them, people would just disappear here. Most of the time it was the homeless.

"You guess?" Methos laughed at that, "I've got to train you to get better."

"I beat it didn't I?" she asked.

"Barely, and that was just one...one that was young and clearly had no fighting skills," Adam informed her.
