Chapter 3

“Blue, obviously,” Justin said and indicated his outfit. “But I still don’t know who you are.”

“Well, technically, I am unaware of your identity also,” the figure said, and Justin had the sneaking suspicion he was being laughed at.

“You first,” he frowned, and the figure sighed, then pulled the hood from his head.

“Better?” the male asked, and Justin nodded as he noted that the male looked no older than himself, though his green eyes were filled with what seemed to be an infinite amount of sadness. Blond hair curled around the nape of his neck, while it was full, almost to the point of being puffy, on top. His skin was pale and his smile was just as sad and as careworn as his eyes. Justin also saw that a faint, long, thin scar ran from his upper cheekbone to the end of his chin.

“Well, you look human,” Justin commented, and the male smiled, though it didn’t reach his eyes, and he shrugged.

“I am,“ he answered, and nodded at Justin. “And now, I believe it’s your turn.”

“Power down,” Justin said, and with another flash, the suit was gone. “I’m Justin.”

“William, although when I was here,” he indicated the blue ranger original outfit that was in one of the glass cases. “I was known as Billy.”

Justin’s eyes opened wide, and he stared at the man. “WHOA!” he exclaimed. “You’re the original Blue Ranger! Tommy, Cat, and Adam told us all about you! That’s why you don’t look any older than me -- that Fountain of Youth thing on Aquitar,” he shook his head. “Man, the guys missed you something fierce, and tried time and time again to contact you, but you never answered!” He scowled deeply. “I’m telling you, that was way harsh. Going into space to get healed, and calling ‘em only once to say you were staying ‘cause ‘a some space girl . . .”

“there were extenuating circumstances,” Billy said, and if it were possible, his eyes grew even sadder, and he turned away.

“Okay, look,“ Justin couldn’t help but react to the obvious sadness and pain that Billy exuded. “A lot of time’s gone by, and so has a lot of Power Rangers. Why are you back now? And why are you here, obviously rebuilding the Power chamber? For us, the former Earth Rangers at any rate, the war’s over.”

“For this part of it, yes, that’s true. But, I’m not just rebuilding the Power Chamber,” Billy said. “This is just the start. I plan on rebuilding the entire Command Center.”

“All by yourself? Why?” Justin asked, and Billy shrugged.
