Knight Fantasy
Flora Winters
I do not own Smallville.
Summary: Clark’s now famous childhood friend returns to Smallville and his semi-normal existence is turned upside down. What’s an alien to do? This fiction will contain language, MM, and OC.
Chapter Two
Clark couldn’t believe that Zak was really back in Smallville to perform for Lex’s charity bash. He was seventeen, and already had three platinum albums. The siren possessed the kind of voice that could literally change and sing anything that was put in front of him.
“What is it?” Zak asked, flicking some loose blond curls out of his porcelain face.
Clark shook his head, smiling. “I just can’t believe you’re really here is all. When did you get here? Where are you staying at?”
Zak chuckled, taking the light blue coffee cup from Chloe. “I got here yesterday and I’m staying at Alexander’s castle.”
Clark blinked. He had been there yesterday. No wonder Lex seemed so frazzled. He was housing an idol that teens worshipped more than Jesus.
He looked at Chloe to see that she was still gawking like a fish out of water. She had scared the hell out of Zak Knight earlier with the flashlight prank.
“Ah!” Chloe screamed, making them both jump once more. “Did you see that, Clark? Mr. Knight just took a sip from my coffee cup!”
She had both hands in her hair, dancing from foot to foot. Her eyes were even all big and shiny, too.
“Here,” she said, shoving a permanent marker in Zak’s beautiful face. “Sign it!”
Zak gulped. He knew better than to argue with another blond. They were dangerous creatures. His mirror always told him so.
“Chloe!” Clark hissed. “What are you doing?”
“You’re right, Clark,” she said, suddenly shoving a shit load of printer paper at Zak. “He really should just sign all of these for me.”
Clark dropped his head with a sigh. She really was hopeless.
“I suffer from carpal tunnel.” Zak lied.
“Oh,” Chloe said, waving his painful disability away. “You can use your mouth, can’t you?”
Zak blinked.
“Oh, and speaking of your mouth,” Chloe said, looming directly over him like a storm. “I want your spit, too.”
Clark was on his feet, pulling her away from the stunned idol. There was no way in hell she was going to get any of his Zak’s spit.
…His?
“Chloe,” Clark smiled, grinding his pearly whites. “I’m sure Zak would like to enjoy his coffee and not have to be bothered with all this stuff.”
A flash filed his blue eyes. She had taken a picture with her cell phone.
“Don’t be so jealous, Clarky.” She said, snapping his picture with another blinding flash, too. “There, I took your picture as well.”
She snorted at his face on the screen. He looked like a deer caught in headlights…a very pretty deer.
“This is so going on the school website,” she laughed, saving it.
Clark seethed.
Zak sipped more of his coffee, not minding at all that it was scalding hot. It really was quite tasty to be exact.
Thunder echoed outside, but, it was starting to sound further and further away. The storm looked like it was passing.
“Would you like some more of my delicious coffee?” Chloe asked, stepping around a growling farmboy. “I’ll even add something extra yummy if you sign everything I put in your hands.”
“What are you going to day?” Clark asked, whirling around on her like a twister. “Are you going to sell it all on Ebay to the highest bidder?”
Chloe held up an index finger, nodding her head with a big white grin on her pretty face. “Bingo.”
Clark adored her honesty, but, he still wanted to toss her over the moon. She would probably buy a new computer with the money.
Zak did sign the cup and the printer papers for her. It really was amazing what people would pay to own his autograph.
He had signed a teddy bear once, and it sold for over ten grand. It had been for a charity event, but, it still stunned him. So, he signed ten more. All the money had gone to help children who were suffering from cancer.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Knight,” Chloe said, filling up his cup once more, handing it to him.
“What about the extra yummy?” He asked, mimicking Clark’s pout.
“Oh,” she said, smiling at him. “Where would you like me to kiss you?”
Clark’s head exploded into red, blue, and yellow glitter. Well, not really, but, wouldn’t it be funny if it did?
Zak smiled and poked his left cheek. She kissed him. It was soft and smooth as glass.
“Chloe!” Clark fumed, nearly stomping his foot through the floor in outrage.
“Don’t be so jealous, Clark,” she giggled, turning to wink at him. “I’m sure if you ask nicely, Mr. Knight will point to a place you can kiss, too.”
The alien saw red. He had to shut his eyes for a few seconds. It felt like they were stinging.
That was odd. His eyes had never stung before.
“Oh, crap,” Zak hissed, looking at the clock on the wall, feeling nervous as hell. “Is that really the time?”
Clark and Chloe looked to see that it was eleven o’clock.
“Do you need a ride?” She asked, taking his signatures to her desk.
He shook his head. “My car is parked just down the street from the front entrance.”
“How did you get in?” She asked, cocking a brow.
“And open window directly over a dumpster,” he smiled. “It was really convenient.”
Chloe nodded. That was so cool. She then turned to glare daggers at Clark.
“You never told me you knew him!” She hissed into his ear. “I ought to smack you cross-eyed, strangle you until you pass you, and then hit you some more.”
Clark gulped.
“I’ll walk you to your car,” he said, needing some air. It was damn hot in the Torch.
“I need to finish up here,” Chloe said, taking her seat. “And then I’ll take you home, Clark.”
Clark nodded, really dreading it, and followed Zak out. She was so going to eat him alive.
Chloe leaned back in her seat, smiling. So, this was the person who held Clark Kent’s heart of hearts.
She really should stop hacking into his secret online journal. No names were used, but, she now saw that the descriptions fit the siren right down to the golden speckle in his right jade green eye.
Was Clark Kent really into guys…or…was Clark Kent only into Zak Knight?
She was going to play the role of Love Goddess and find out. But first, she needed to put this awesome shit on Ebay. A girl needed money in order to keep looking this fantastic.

“Do you want me…Clark?”
That was all the farmboy heard. He shook his head, realizing that he almost walked through a lamp post.
“I’m sorry,” he said, running a nervous hand through his hair, stepping around the damn thing that just had to go and jump out at him. “What?”
“I said,” Zak laughed. “Do you want me to take you home?”
Clark shook his head. “Chloe might need me…for something.”
“Is she your girl?” He asked, looking up at him. “You got really red when she kissed my cheek.”
Clark snorted.
“No,” he said, looking away. “I just don’t like to see people…”
He cut off.
Zak stopped. “What?”
“Nothing,” Clark lied, carefully kicking a rock so that he didn’t send it flying twenty miles towards wherever.
Truth be told, he hated to see others touching and groping at him. He hated it! He had to turn the television off every time.
He wanted to ram his fist through their stupid faces. He could take down a million or three bitches.
BRING IT ON, WHORES!
“Clark,” Zak smiled. “We just sauntered on by my car.”
“Oh,” Clark said, blushing like a rose. “My mind is gone.”
Zak suddenly threw his arms around the bigger teen. He smelled of hay and something sweet. It might have been apple.
“You’re still looking out for me.” He said, squeezing him, breathing in his scent, missing it so much. “I’ve missed you, Clarky.”
Clark froze. He went as still as a marble statue. Was he dreaming? Was Zak really here hugging him? Oh, it was too cruel.
Zak took quick notice of this and let him go. What was wrong with him? He had allowed him to hold his arm earlier. Had the hug been too much?
Clark mentally mourned the loss of contact.
“I have to go,” Zak said, opening his car door.
His green gemstone eyes looked hurt.
“I missed you, too,” Clark said, stepping forward to stop him. “Can you come to the farm tomorrow?”
Jade green eyes suddenly sparkled with crystal clear brilliance.
He nodded making Clark smile.
“I’m sure mom and dad will love to see you, Zacky.” He said.
Zak grinned. “I have missed the smell of hay and Aunt Martha’s awesome cooking.”
Clark laughed. “She’ll cook a feast.”
“I’ll see you tomorrow then,” he said. “Goodnight, Clarky.”
“I loved your song.” Clark said, making him stop. He didn’t want him to leave just yet. He watched him leave a long time ago…it brought back painful ouch with the hurt.
Zak slowly turned around to look at him. “Really?”
Clark nodded. “Your voice was spooky, haunting, and even more magical. It was beautiful.”
Zak’s eyes widened. He suddenly looked really afraid.
“What’s wrong?” Clark asked, holding out his hands in concern. “I didn’t mean to stand inside the door and listen.”
He was lying, but, it made the fear in those enchanting eyes vanish.
“Headache,” Zak quickly lied. “I get them every now and then.”
Clark nodded. He didn’t care if he was meteor infected. He was still his Zacky.
“I really need to go now.” He said, turning to get into his car. “I will see you tomorrow.”
Clark waved until he couldn’t see the rear lights anymore. He was excited, but, his heart hurt. Would Zak go crazy like all the others?
NO! He would not let that happen.
222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222
Zak parked his car and got out. A warm breeze blew through his silky golden locks, and he looked up at the dark sky. Purple and pink lightning danced from cloud to cloud like hissing serpents. It made him smile.
He walked down to the shore, looking out over the stormy surface of Crater Lake. It was still just as beautiful as he remembered.
He was such an idiot. It had been foolish to go to the school. He could have ruined everything.
Clark would think him dangerous and turn him away. Meteor freaks were seen just as that, freaks!
Soft thunder echoed in the distance and the lightning danced. The sound of the waves filled his ears and it was all the music he needed.
Find me here
And speak to me
I want to feel you
I need to hear you
You are the light
That’s leading me to the place
Where I find peace again
He looked around and stepped out onto the face of the water. The waves rolled under his milky white feet as he walked along.
Spirals of water began to dance all around his lithe frame. It all pulsed to his heart and moved to the beat of his song.
You are the strength
That keeps me walking
You are the hope
That keeps me trusting
You are the light to my soul
You are my purpose
You’re everything
Thunder boomed and the waves danced all around and under him. He could feel the power pulsing through his veins with a steady hum.
The wind seemed to pick up and blew through his hair, making it billow like golden smoke in the darkness.
And how can I stand here with you
And not be moved by you
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this
He stomped his left foot, creating a giant wave. It was so freeing to get lost in the power of song.
He held up his arms, causing the water to take the shape of a tall man before him. It made tears spill from his jade eyes.
It was Clark.
The watery shade glided forward and held him in its cool embrace. He leaned back, allowing his desire to hold him in its arms.
He looked up at the sky, seeing some silver stars shining through. They seemed to be twinkling just for him in that moment. Did they love his voice, too?
You calm the storms
And you give me rest
You hold me in your hands
You won’t let me fall
You still my heart
When you take my breath away
Would you take me in
Take me deeper now
The wind blew all around him and the watery image of Clark spun him out and then in. He took its other hand, smiling. They danced atop of the waves, drowning in his song.
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this
