Chapter Two

His Name in the Green

Flora Winters

I do not own Smallville or any of its amazing characters. I also do not own the idea of Poison Ivy. She is one of my favorite villains of all time.

Summary: A young botanist has a little accident in his green house and later sees Smallville ripe for the greening. This will have male/male parings, so if you don’t like it, don’t read it. There will also be some very strong language, just because I like using it.

Chapter Two

Chloe pulled up in front of Dustin’s house in her cute little green Bug and parked to the side where a great oak tree grew. She looked over at Clark who had apparently fallen asleep on the ride over. An evil gleam twinkled in her sparkly blue eyes and she laid on the horn.

His green eyes snapped open and he threw out his hands waiting for an impending crash. He looked over at her with wide eyes and released the breath he had been holding.

She snorted and then howled with laughter. The look on his face had been priceless. She had to lean back in her seat and hold her stomach. That had been the funniest thing ever. He was so easy.

“That was not funny,” he growled and took off his seatbelt not looking at her.

“Oh, come on, Clark,” she snorted and the busted out laughing again, “You know you love me.”

“Not speaking to you,” he said with a pout and opened his door to get out.

He stood up and closed the door with a controlled slam. That had really scared him. She should know better than to do stuff like that too him. What if he had accidentally used his powers in front of her? Well, that really wouldn’t be her fault…eh, yeah, it would be.

“Wow,” he muttered as he followed the giggling blonde up the sidewalk, “Talk about a green thumb.”

There were flowers all over the place. There were rose bushes with big, huge, red blossoms that were all dewy, and smelled like heaven. He saw lush vines of ivy that was mixed with jasmine and honeysuckle creeping along the sides of the house and around the white stone pillars.

“Yeah,” Chloe said with awe in her voice, “Just smell those roses.”

“They’re even prettier than my mom’s,” Clark said and then coughed, “And don’t you dare tell her I said that.”

Chloe chuckled as she stepped up on the porch and rang the doorbell, “All the more ammo to abuse you with my dear.”

Clark rolled his eyes, “You’re so mean to me.”

“Am not,” Chloe laughed as she rang he doorbell again, “You’re just so much fun to tease, Spaceman.”

Clark walked around the porch to take a closer look at those creeping vines to see that they were actually, creeping. He cocked his head to the side and was about to ask Chloe if that were normal, only to hear her gasp.

“Dustin,” she said in shock, “Hi.”

Why was she so surprised to see him? This was his house after all.

He turned around and his green eyes almost popped right out of their pretty sockets. What he hell?

“Hey,” Dustin smiled and leaned out the door, “I was not expecting you so early.”

The two of them took in that he was wearing a pair of low rider jeans that were faded and had holes in the knees, and a bright green t-shirt that showed of his slender physique to perfection. But, it was not only the change in clothing style that had the two teens gawking. It was his overall physical transformation.

His skin was so white it looked like creamy smooth alabaster that just seemed to glow in the warm light of the sun. The color of his hair was unlike any they had ever seen before. It looked like something that belonged on an anime character, but it was gorgeous. His eyes were a crystal clear green and they were beautiful. Hell, he was fucking beautiful. Who knew that such a beauty was hiding under all those dorky clothes and behind a thick pair of glasses?

“Hi,” Clark managed to say after he picked his bottom jaw up off the ground, “You look…good.”

Dustin smiled, “It’s amazing what a trip to Metropolis can do to a guy’s appearance.”

“Is this why you were not at school today,” Chloe asked and could not help but look him over, again, and again, and again.

“You caught me,” Dustin said and held his hands up in surrender, “Guilty as charged, Miss Sullivan…please don’t out me to the press.”

Chloe started laughing and god his teeth were so white when he smiled…and those lips…they looked so dewy…and soft. She wondered what they would feel like on hers.

“We brought you your homework,” Clark said stepping up with a big grin on his face, “And to come by and take those pictures.”

Dustin smiled at him, “Why don’t you all come in?”

“Thanks,” Chloe said as Dustin held the door open for them.

“Would the two of you like anything to drink,” he asked as he led the way through the house and god there was so many beautiful plants, “Mom keeps the fridge well stocked in all kinds of fruity beverages.”

“Sure,” Clark said, “Do you have any Orange Juice?”

Dustin nodded, “Take a seat at the table. Would you like anything, Chloe?”

“I’ll have water,” Chloe said with a soft smile and gazed around at the amazing colors of the flora that grew in the house, “I’ve never seen so many beautiful plants in all my life.”

“Thank you,” Dustin said as he got a bottle of Orange Juice and a bottle of water out of the fridge, “Mother Nature is a design genius.”

Dustin handed Clark his cold beverage and slightly brushed his finger across one of Clark’s. It was a subtle caress, but Clark felt it nonetheless. Dustin hid his smirk when he caught the blush on those rosy golden cheeks.

“How cute,” he thought to himself as he handed Chloe her bottle of water, “He blushes like a beautiful red rose.”

“Oh,” Clark said pushing over some papers, “Your homework.”

“Thank you, Clark,” Dustin said and took a seat at the table to look through it all, “Wow, I did miss a lot.”

Chloe nodded, “You’re really going to have to suck up to Mr. Baker. He was in a really bad mood today. I don’t know if he is going to allow anyone to make up that quiz on Macbeth.”

Dustin tucked a loose strand of rose red hair behind a pale ear and nodded, “I’m sure he can make an allowance.”

Clark was feeling a little lightheaded and he had never felt like this before except for when there was kryptonite around. The only difference is that he is not feeling any of that stabbing pain all over his body. His veins did not feel as though they were on fire.

“So,” Chloe said with a big smile, “Where are these beautiful plants?”

“They’re out in the greenhouse,” Dustin said and got to his feet, “Why don’t the two of you just sit here and I’ll go and get them for you.”

“I would love to see your greenhouse,” Chloe said starting to rise.

“I had a little accident last night,” Dustin said with a frown, “And I got fertilizer all over the floor.”

“You mean,” Chloe asked and held her nose.

“Yeah,” Dusting smiled, “It really stinks.”

“We’ll wait here,” she said and looked at Clark, “I’m not ruining my new shoes.”

Dustin laughed and headed to the back door, “I’ll be right back then. Please, make yourselves feel right at home.”

He walked out the backdoor and closed it behind him to lean back against it. That had been too close. He was not sure if Applebee was done eating his treats. The last thing he wanted was for those two to see a hand sticking out of his babies’ mouth.

He made his way across the backyard and could not help but smile as flowers sprang up from his footsteps. It was absolutely amazing at how his thoughts could manipulate the seeds in the earth. His will was capable of making all manner of plant life to move and do his bidding at a mere thought. He has spent all night practicing and studying himself under a microscope.

It turned out that his blood had been replaced with aloe and his skin with Chlorophyll. He was going to have to be careful, because he noticed that his skin was starting to turn a golden green, just by being out in the sun. He was just like a plant now, feeding off the rays of the yellow sun. The moment he was out of the sun, his skin became a creamy smooth white color that glowed with its own light.

He opened the door to his greenhouse to see smile at all his babies that were moving to be near to him. He sent gentle thoughts to them and they seemed to just creep and curl across the floor and the ceiling.

He gazed over at his now giant Venus flytrap to see that there was a bare foot sticking out of its giant mouth. That would have been just great if the two of them had walked in and seen that. At least his baby had managed to devour those two peons of that Whitney. He was going to have so much fun making that little fool pay. So many wicked ideas were just running through his mind.

“Wow, Dustin,” he said in a mock of Clark’s sexy voice, “That is some unusual plant food you got there.”

He held out his hands and the vines carried to him the tray of specimens that he needed. He carefully took them, and petted the vines for their helpfulness. They’re so much nicer than most people.

“Thank you,” he smiled and carried the tray out just as Applebee finished devouring his last treat.

“Wow,” Chloe said as she took some more pictures, “What is this called again?”

“I call it a sea orchid,” Dustin smiled as he touched the glass to make it glow violet and open its petals in the water solution, “Isn’t she beautiful?”

“Yes,” Clark said as he stood next to him, “Have you given “her” a name?”

Dustin looked over at Clark and smiled, “I named her, Delilah.”

“She is definitely going to win first place,” Chloe said as she snapped some more shots of the beautiful plant.

“You think so,” Dustin asked as he gazed at Clark who looked as though he wanted to touch his plant.

“Are you kidding,” Chloe asked with a snort, “Everyone else has models of dinosaurs and volcanoes.”

“Hey,” Clark snapped looking up at her, “You leave my volcano and dinosaur models alone.”

“The only reason why you’re doing it Clark,” Chloe said as she punched him in the shoulder, “Is because you like adding the vinegar to the baking soda.”

“And I like yelling for all the little dinosaurs that are being covered in red fizz,” Clark smiled.

Dustin bit his bottom lip. That was funny. Clark even made the little imitation noises of dinosaurs dying.

“You can touch her if you want, Clark,” Dustin said as he removed the top of the container, “It’s not going to hurt her.”

“Really,” Clark asked as he rolled up his sleeve.

Dustin smiled, “Go ahead.”

Clark did and was amazed at how smooth the petals felt. The orchid was glowing with beautiful violet lights and it felt as though it was actually alive in a real sense of the word. Not just floating there looking like a pretty plant, but alive in some way. It was almost as if it had thoughts.

Clark noticed that Dustin moved a little closer to him and he began to feel somewhat dizzy again. There was something about the way Dustin looked…and the way he smelled…it was almost intoxicating.

“Are you all right,” Dustin asked and put a cool smooth hand on Clark’s forehead, “You look a little pale and you feel warm.”

“I’m fine,” Clark lied but really liked the feel of that cool hand on his flesh, “I just got a little dizzy is all.”

What the hell was he thinking? Dustin was a guy for crying out loud. How could he like the feel of his hand touching him? This was not right.

“Are you sure,” Chloe asked setting her camera down, “You do look a little pale, Clark.”

“Would you like some water,” Dustin asked, “It might make you feel better.”

Clark could not take his eyes off of him. His skin was so smooth and flawless. That hair was so red and it smelled so good. How could a man smell so good?

“Clark,” Chloe asked and took him by the arm, “Maybe I should take you home?”

“Yeah,” Dustin said taking Clark’s other arm, “Let me help.”

Clark kept his mouth shut. For some odd reason he just wanted to pounce on the smaller man and kiss him madly on those luscious red lips. The way his body moved, the way it looked, the way it smelled, the way it talked, the way it felt under his hand...he wanted to taste those lips.

“What the hell are you thinking you big dumb alien,” Clark screamed at himself but his eyes would not leave the smaller man, “We’re talking about a guy here…a very pretty guy…a very beautiful guy…a very…”

“Clark,” Chloe said in a loud voice which snapped him out of his thoughts, “You’re heavy, move your big feet.”

“Right,” Clark said as they got to the car.

“I hope you get to feeling better, Clark,” Dustin said and closed the door for him and waved as he stepped back.

“Thanks for the pictures,” Chloe said.

“No problem,” Dustin smiled, “I can’t wait to pick up an edition of the Torch tomorrow.”

Chloe nodded and waved at him before she got in the car. He watched them drive out of sight and cocked his head to the side.

He gazed over the branches of the giant oak tree that were growing and moving closer to him, “What was all that about?”

The branches moved around him and they lifted him up into the air so he could watch Chloe driving down the road. She looked as though she was talking to Clark, and he was shaking his head about something.

He put a finger to his mouth…he had some more tests to run. Something about his new state of being must have affected Clark in some way, but not Chloe. The only thing that affected Chloe was the way he looked. Something must have affected Clark on a deeper level. He had to find out what.
