“We are looking for a young man named Phoenix. He looks about sixteen or seventeen, has long brown hair, and is about my height.” Said Phoebe as she smiled at the older man with glasses.

Piper raised a brow. From what they were told their brother should be between Phoebe and Paige’s ages. Piper leaned forward and whispered into her sister’s ear. “Are you sure the boy in your vision was Phoenix?”

Phoebe shrugged, she didn’t know all she had to go on was a feeling, and she was very good with feelings. It was her gift after all.

Paige looked at the people in the shop with narrowed eyes. Three young people and an older man. One cute corn feed farm boy who walked like an army man, a slip of a bottled blond holding a stake ready in her small hand, and a red head that was just leaking dark/light magic by the bucket but she was not a natural witch, the older man looked like a British gentlemen and had a finely woven shield protecting his off-white power. These people were not to be taken on lightly, either they dealt with the problems of the hellmouth or they were apart of the problems.

The older gentlemen stepped forward with a smile and a raised hand to shake. “ I’m afraid I don’t know any boys by that name. I’m Rupert Giles the owner of this fine shop. And you are?”

Phoebe shook his hand and gave Giles one of her bright and bewitching smiles. “I’m Phoebe Halliwell, and my two scowling sisters are Piper and Paige.”

“Do you have finding crystals?” Paige said as she walked right up to the shelves and started looking around. Phoenix wasn’t here, they needed to look for him now.

The witch girl with red hair nodded. “Yes we do. There is some on a shelf next to the glass vials of sunflower oil and lizard tongues.”

The blond stepped forward. “Yeah, we have the crystal thingies, but we’re closed! Didn’t you hear Giles tell you that?!”

Piper eyed the mouthy blond that was talking to her sister. “You don’t look all that busy right now . . .” She said with a little growl, her hands twitched at the look the girl gave her. The look rich arrogant people give the poor they see on the street or at work, that infuriating ‘I’m better then you’ll ever be.’ look. Piper’s hands twitched again.

The older man, Giles, stepped forward and put a hand on the frowning blond girl’s shoulder. “Ms. Halliwell is right, Buffy, we’re not busy at the moment.” Then Giles looked at the Halliwell sisters, his eyes trailing over their faces. “Your last name is familiar . . .”

The sisters paused, then Phoebe spoke up. “I write an advice column in San Francisco, maybe you’ve heard of it? Ask Phoebe?”

Giles frowned deeply and shook his head no. “Halliwell . . . I’ve heard that name before, I’m sure of it! Are you lot related to the Warren family?”

Willow nodded. She too has heard of the unusual name, then it clicked and her eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. “The Charmed Ones!!!” She squeaked.

Giles coughed. “Good lord!!!Power of Three standing in-front of my very eyes . . .”

All three sisters smiled slightly. “Guilty.” Piper sighed.

Buffy and Mr. Corn fed frowned in confusion.

Phoebe walked around the shop and picked up an object every once in a while hoping to get a vision or something. Then she found a picture of a boy and two girls smiling. The two girls were the blond Daffy and the red witch Willa, that are showing Paige around the store, but the boy is so painfully familiar. Soulful brown eyes, rich chocolate hair, a creamy complexion, he reminded Phoebe of Prue. That boy in the picture was her brother, she could feel it in her bones. Phoebe frowned, she had been sure the boy in her vision was her brother too! The one in the picture was too old, his hair far too short to be the boy in the vision. Grabbing the picture, Phoebe held it up for her sisters to see. Only to suffer another vision. ~ The boy from the picture looked frightened as he ran toward a cliff. It’s dark out and a storm is underway. He stops at the edge and yells the name of someone that feels important to him. “Willow! WILLOW!!”

The girl flouted in the air, black hair fluttering like it was underwater, eyes like black holes and black veins spider webbing across her face. She looked like a monster. Behind the girl stood a temple, a temple full of so much evil it made Phoebe dizzy. “Xxxanderrrr . . .” The flying girl said with such pain and hate in her voice.

Phoebe felt the boy’s determination, he would stop the dark witch no matter the cost.~

Phoebe stumbled slightly as she walked over to her sisters. “I had another vision. This one was really weird. It had him in it. Look at him, he looks like mom and Prue!”

Piper snatched the picture up and looked at it closely. Her breath hitched. “He does look like Prue.” She handed the picture to Paige. “And he looks like mom.”

Paige looked at the scoobies. “Who is this?”

Willow blinked. “That’s X-xander. He’ll be here soon. He has a magical problem we have to fix.”

Piper glared her protective sister instincts kicking in even if they weren’t sure if this Xander was their brother. “What problem?”

Willow brightened and smiled. “Maybe you can help us? I kind of gave my friend super powers . . It wouldn’t be a bad thing if he could control it. But he can’t! HethrowBuffyintoawall! Madethingsflyintheair! Andcaughtstuffonfire!!” Willow said in an embarrassed babble. She didn’t want the most famous witches in the world over to know how bad Willow messes up. She wasn’t even going to tell them about the memory spell she unwittingly caste on all of Sunnydale . . . and maybe more. It was a really strong spell she had cast.

“Help you do what? Teach him?” Asked Paige as she held the picture to her person.

“Bind Xander’s powers!” Buffy made a ‘duh’ face.

“WHAT!!!!”

Willow nodded her eyes wide and wet. “Xander is out of control. Can you help us? After you help us we can help you find that Phoenix person.” Willow pulled a piece of paper out of her magic book. “Here is the spell were going to use.”

Piper snatched it up with a glare and looks it over. Her eyes widened and she handed the spell to her sisters wordlessly. “You want to bind his powers with ‘this’ spell?” Piper asked in a deceptively calm voice.

Willow nodded, slightly confused about the cold tone of voice.

“Binding an out of control witch is good and all but why transfer the unused power to the casters?” Paige asked as she crumpled up the spell and orb it to the trash.

“Hey!!!”

*********

Xander rubbed at his stomach as he walked, it felt fluttery, like a butterfly trapped inside. Ever since Willow’s blotched dark spell and the waking of his power Xander felt something truly foreign and different about himself. Spreading his hand over his flat belly Xander sighed, was it nerves or is his diet that bad?

“What ya doing, whelp? Going to run into a poll if you don’t watch `ere ur going.” Spike said as he pulled a cigarette from his crumpled pack. Patting his pockets he frowned as he couldn’t seem to find his lighter. His eyes widened as Xander lit his finger, the very tip of his pointer finger holding a small lick of blue flame. “Um . . . Thanks, luv.”

“You never used-ta call me things like luv, pet, and nice stuff like that. I was just whelp or donut boy before . . .*Sigh* You called me a Nummy-treat only to tease me because of something silly I said. You were never that nice to me before my p-powers came, but we did share the same sense of humor. Always have.” Xander said as he tapped Spike with the finger that was a second ago lit. “I got all your jokes, even the brit ones.”

Spike raised a brow then made a smoke ring in Xander’s direction. “ Really now?”

“Yep!” Xander smiled. His smile slipped and eyes dimmed when he spoke again. “We were never friends though. I was blinded by my hate for vamps . . . you for your love for Buffy.”

“Oi! No insulting pet! Before our memories got fucked I’m sure I had a reason to love her, but now? I have no idea why I risked my demon for hers! She’s a little girl in everything but age!!”

“She had a rough year . . . and your talking about young adult angst right? Not really grrrrr demons? Cause the thought of Buffy ever being a vampire is kinda freaky.” Xander said as he wrapped his hands protectively around his belly.

Spike rolled his eyes. “Metaphors and sly wording are lost on ya aren’t they, Nummy?”

Xander smiled slightly. “Probably.”

“And that shit about us not being kinda friends is wrong. We’re being frie–nice now.”

That made the small smile cross Xander’s face again. “Yeah, we are being kind of friendly now.”

“Too right!” Spike said as he tossed the still smoking bud. “Now lets go into the magical ass house of Sunnyhell and take our hits like men!”

Xander snickered when Spike opened the door for him like one would do for a pretty girl. “Like men? You mean men as in a super powered vamp and a fire spitting man-witch?”

“Corse, pet. Momma always told me ‘Men shouldn’t hit girls’, she never said anything about vampires, witches, weres, and demons. They can hit anyone they like, luv.”

Xander’s lips twitched, but even with Spike’s permission to get violent he wasn’t sure if he would. He never ever wanted to become his dad. Xander rolled his eyes as Spike strolled into the Magic Box like he owned it once Xander stepped inside. “Got the whelp now get on with whatever-” Spike stopped talking when he got into the room and saw the three new faces arguing with the scoobies.

Spike narrowed his eyes. Witches! And strong ones. But there was something familiar about these witches scent. It tickled his mind.

Xander walked in behind Spike, his good mood erased from his face. He could feel magic splattering over him, Willow’s in particular was causing chaos with his own magic, like a clash of titans. Xander wanted to leave.

He looked over his friends with distrust but then he laid eyes on the three lovely witches standing angrily near the scoobs. Instantly he felt a connection, a deep and warm bond. It felt like a hug, so warm and oh so missed. Xander wanted to give a content sigh. The safe feeling unnerved him, well how easily he trusted it did.

“Xander!” Any content feelings vanished the moment the yelling started. Why were they always mad at him? And why was his name said as more of a curse instead of a greeting? “What took you so long!!”

Xander frowned as Willow came bounding toward him and gave him a hug. Acted like she hadn’t been ignoring him, that everything was as normal as could be. “Hello Willow. It’s nice to ‘see’ you.”

Willow didn’t seem to hear the almost angry tone in Xander’s voice, she was too busy thinking about her spells and the Charmed ones. Willow felt bad that she didn’t talk to Xander first about his powers being bound, but she wasn’t sure how he would act. She wanted to help him. She wanted to fix all her mistakes, make things right. But doing that would be really hard, especially if Xander fought her the whole way though it.

*******

“Y-you want to what? WHAT?!!”

Willow bit her lip and gave Xander her best puppy eyes. “I just want to do a small spell.”

“On me?” Xander hissed. Xander couldn’t, wouldn’t, never ever let Willow ‘do’ another spell on him! Would never lower his shield to her, NEVER!!! In fact he had sworn to himself, for his own safety, to fight tooth and claw if they tried anything on him!

Willow nodded and that ‘duh’ look crossed Buffy’s face again.

Xander stood stiff and face blanked. “I think I’ll take a page from Spike’s book and say ‘Bloody hell NO!!’ I don’t think so, not on your snooty life!!”

Getting up from the table Xander was about to leave the shop, Spike and the three witches hopped up to follow only to stop when Xander opened the door and bashed into an invisible wall. Xander got up off the floor death in his dark eyes. “Take the spell off the door, Willow.”

The redhead shivered. “Can’t Xander, you need my help.” She needed Xander under control. Needed him to give up his new powers for the greater good!

“I needed your help weeks ago, when you were good Willow . . . Right now . . . this minute . . . you can shove your ‘help’ up your magic butt-hoe and keep it there. I. Don’t. Need. You.” Xander said coldly inches from Willow’s pale face.

Willow reached out for Xander. “Please Xander! I know what is best for you! It will help things get better!!”

“My Wills knew what was best . . . you, you’re some magic addicted whore that looks like her.” Xander glared at the young woman. He could feel strong magic reaching out for him, seductive magic, magic telling him to trust Willow. In his head Xander snarled. Willow, this Willow before him is not the girl he risked his soul and life for, not the sweet girl he trusted with his life. This girl before him was using her magic to make him docile! Xander narrowed his eyes, HE would not be docile for them, not anymore!

With his own power Xander pushed the redhead away from him and pinned her to the wall. Buffy and the others gasped in shock, and rushed over to free Willow. “DON’T use your magic on me! Do you think I’m stupid?!! Do you think I can’t feel it! Your magic is everywhere! It’s on me! On Giles, Buffy, Riley, and even Spike!”

Oi!!! What about me?!” Spike asked.

“I thought you went back to your coven to gain control? You just go there to get more spells! I bet your already planing spells to raise a very dead Tara!”

Willow paled at the mention of her long dead girl then her face twisted with rage. SLAP!!! Xander’s head snapped to the side but he didn’t move from where he was standing. Xander smiled, blood trickling down his chin. “I’m right, aren’t I?” Xander looked deep into Willow’s cloudy eyes. “You don’t really want to help me . . . you just need a some extra magic . . . you don’t want to be weakened when you see Tara again. Poor Tara.”

Willow opened and closed her mouth. It was true she is planing on bringing Tara back from the dead . . . but she wanted to help Xander too! Is it too much to ask that she get what she needs? Once she fixes everything everyone will be happy! Everything will be good and they can continue to fight the good fight! But everything needs to be back the way it was. Before. Gathering her power to her Willow started chanting under her breath, everything will be fine and Xander will thank her.

Willow and Xander, two strong willed spirits, facing off like battling elements. They were too focused on each other to notice the three dark hair witches in the background, chanting a binding spell. But when he did notice Xander gasped as he saw the powerful magic aura grow around them, he knew just by the look of it that he would not be able to stop it. He closed his eyes, he wasn’t even going to fight the spell. It was pointless.
