South Padre Island
June 18th, noon
We're almost to our next destintation: South Padre Island, Texas. We've been hugging the Gulf Coast, going through Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, pretty quickly. It seems like we've been in Texas forever. It's almost 500 miles from the Louisiana border to South Padrea. We stopped in Corpus Christi to tour an aircraft carrier they have set up in the bay. Kinda interesting, but nothing awe-inspiring.
We're on the last leg, we'll be there in about an hour. I plan to spend a lot of time on the beach. Jane and Margaret are hoping a Girls Gone Wild crew would be there. I would totally flash the camera, but they were talking about taking it further. I don't know if I'm quite ready to go there. If I showed up on a commercial, I'd have some explaining to do.

June 19th, morning
I swear this is the best summer ever!
After getting our stuff into the hotel room, Jane, Margaret, Lucy, and I were going to head out to the beach. Kevin was tired and decided to stay in with the kids, and dad recruited T-Bone and Mac to help with the grocery shopping. So in the end, I was just us girls.

When we finally got to her, she was already talking to the good-looking guy. His name was Alex.
"Are these your friends?" he said as came to a stop.

"And where are yall from?" he asked.
Jane handled all the conversation. "California!" She went on to explain that we were in Miami a few days ago, and were on a cross country road trip. She left the part about the whole family and the RV out. Not quite as sexy.

Sandy said there was no way in hell she was doing it, as expected. Jane and Margaret said they were all in. So, it was up to me and Lucy. I was kinda surprised that Lucy didn't flat out say no. I said I was 90% sure I'd do it; Lucy said she was 90% sure she wouldn't. Alex gave Jane his cell number and the other guy gave her a pack of paperwork from the backpack. He told her to have each girl fill it out and bring it to the hotel room they had set up at ten o'clock that night.
Alex said he hoped to see all four of us there. He added that if we filmed a scene, and decided afterward we didn't want it to be put on the DVD, we could return the payment up to 30 days afterward. He said that's what happens most of the time, but he gets paid the same regardless and gets to watch girls do whatever he tells them, so he doesn't mind.
Dang, they're loading up the vans to head out to breakfast at IHOP. I'll continue this afternoon. You won't be disappointed.
