Choices Consequences

Chapter Three

"It feels great to be out of the infirmary. "Alessandra said as she stood on the balcony outside the mess hall.
a solider from earth was with her. He didn't speak much he just stood gaurd. She missed Ronon at least he talked to her more." How is Kate doing?"
"I don't know ma'am I just got here." the young man said to her.
"Okay first I know you military boys aren't so polite I mean come on I know John Sheppard and I've been raised in the military so cut the ma'am crap." she flashed a smile at him.
"Someone sounds like she needs to go off owrld." John said as he walked up to them." You can take your leave I got it from here."
"Yes, sir." the boy said as he quickly left the two alone.
" You can't yell at my men." John said softly as he took in her apperence. Today she wore a pair of worn jeans a light blue modest shirt and her hair was up in a high pony tail. She looked very well except for the cut across her cheek.
"I don't like having to be followed around by strangers." she said as she turned her back to him" Tell me how Kate is doing?"
"She's better. The same thing that happened to you happened to her except she didn't fight back like you did so it was worse for her." he informed her
"It's a good thing that Elizabeth is my sister and since we met back on earth months before coming here we've always been close." she said softly " Although I never understood why you act more like a big brother to me than someone who's interested in me."
"Because you remind me of my sister." he said to her as he moved to stand beside her." It would be too wierd for me to feel anything more for you than brotherly love."
"I never felt that way about you either. It's like we were meant to find each other, but not be attracted to each other." she looked over at him
"Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking." he said as he looked into her eyes. He saw her smile in her eyes before it ever touch her lips.
"No wonder we get along so well." she laughed
"So, how are things with you and Ronon?" John asked curiously as he stared into the water before them.
"What do you mean?" she asked innocently
"Come on everyone has noticed the way he is with you." he looked over at her as she stared into the water
"He's just being protective like you." she suddenly felt like a little girl talking about her first love.
"No, no, he's not being just protective." John gave a small laugh" He slept in your hospital bed with you the whole three days you were there."
"I was a little out of it, but I do remember him being there." she confessed softly" It felt nice to have someone hold me."
"He refused to elave you while you were in that bed." John told her
"I do find him attractive, but I know nothing could come of it." she said more to herself than to him
"Okay if that'show you feel than maybe you flirt a little less with him otherwise he's going to think you want more than you do." John told her as he leaned down and kissed her forehead." Come on I think you might be ready to go off world with us."
"Good I need to get out of here." she said as she turned to elave with him.
"Someone get Dr. Beckett there's been another attack!" a young nurse came rushing in the mess hall
"Oh my god John he's back." Alessandra said as she grabed his hand tightly
They went to the young woman who had been attacked she laying on her bed unconcsious with blood all over her.
"This one is worse than the last two." Dr. Beckett said as he looked at the girl. He checked for a pulse and then shook his head." She's dead."
"Oh, no." Alessandra turned her face into John's shoulder
"Dr. Beckett." a strained voice called to him.
"My god Kate what happened you were doing so well." Alessandra questioned as she turned to the door way and saw Kate's face that bore the same cut as her, but she had another one right over it." He came back I was all alone." she fell to the ground
"He's going back for the ones he didn't kill." John said out loud as he held Alessandra
"She's going to be okay we need to get her back to the infirmary." Dr. Beckett announced
"Find out who was gaurding her and have them report to me immedatly." John order" Let me make this clear one more time. No female is to be left alone until we find out who's doing this." he was angry now and Alessandra could feel the tense in his muscles.
"I'm going to go be with Kate until Rodney gets to her." Alessandra said as she left John's side to go with Kate.
"Sire the man gaurding Kate is missing." a solider came up to him.
"What was his name?" John asked in a firm tone of voice
"Delainy. Sgt. Vince Delainy. He was with the new people that came from earth." he reported.
"There is no Sgt. Delainy." Rodney said as he walked into the room" I ran a check." He handed John a list of everyone that was on Atlantis
"He must be the one that has been doing all the attacks." Alessandra said as she walked back up to them
"Excuse me." Rodney said as he went to Kate's side.
"Don't worry we'll find him." John reassured her as he comforted her
"I won't be his victim again if he comes after me or anyone else I will kill him." she vowed as she walked away from John.
"Follow her, but don't let her see you." he told the solider that had been standing beside him
" Yes, sir." he said as he went after Alessandra
Alessandra went to her room and locked the door shut. The solider just stood there waiting for anything. Alessandra went to her bathroom shut that door and perpared to take a shower. Her room door open and she heard the hiss of it shutting. Fear shot through her as she stood moitionless in her bathroom. The only weapon she had was a small pair of trimming sissors. She held them in her hands. She heared movment around in her room then she heard nothing. She carefully opened the door. There was a soft glow in her room. Candle light. She guessed. He was going to kill her by candle light. Fear over took her and she came running out the bathroom with the sissors raised. When she saw the person inside she dropped them to the floor and starred at him like she was seeing a ghost.
"You were going to stabbed me." he asked
"Aiden how in the hell did you get back here?"
