Moonbase

A week later on Moonbase Paul and Ed sat in the recreation room as they sipped coffee.

The men back on earth at S.H.A.D.O. Headquarters had no memory of what had happened during the aliens' mind control. But Paul wanted to keep Ed safe and far away from them until he felt sure there was no danger of another plot to ravish his commander.

"Do you regret what we did back at my place?" Paul asked Ed.

"I thought we agreed to not speak of that," said Ed curtly.

Paul felt emotionally stung by Ed's tone.

I accommodated him after he begged me to satisfy him, and now he wants to act like nothing happened, thought Paul.

They told no one about it. That was the agreement. But it irked Paul that Ed was acting now like he wished it had never happened.

What a prick, thought Paul as he got up and left the recreation room. Ed remained seated as he watched Paul leave.

Ed's emotions were in a confused and jumbled state. He felt badly about
hurting Paul's feelings. But he was having a great deal of trouble accepting the fact that he enjoyed being taken by a man. He was thankful that the man was one he trusted and found very physically appealing. But still it was with a man. And Ed had always thought of himself as straight.

The door opened. Lt. Gay Ellis entered the recreation room.

"Hello, Commander," she said.

"Hello, Lt. Ellis," he said. Ed felt the need to prove something to himself even though a tiny voice inside of his mind warned him he would only be opening the door to a whole world of trouble.

"May I buy you a cup of coffee?" he asked her.

"Yes, thank you."

A moment later they sat together and sipped coffee while they talked.

"I'll be in my quarters in fifteen minutes," said Ed to Lt. Ellis moments later after they finished their coffee.

"Yes, Commander. And you wish to be left undisturbed?"

"Actually, I wouldn't mind if you were to pay me a visit. That is, if you want to."

Lt. Ellis raised one eyebrow and smiled at the commander. She had always found the commander to be an attractive man. But she did not want to appear too eager.

Just then the door opened. Paul stood in the doorway and looked at the two of them.

"Thank you, Commander," said Lt. Ellis. "I might stop by your quarters later just to see how you are and to ask if you need anything."

Ed smiled. He and Paul watched her leave.

Then Ed turned to speak to Paul.

"A word of advice, Paul. Don't jump to conclusions about a situation after hearing just the last part of the conversation."

And with that, he left the recreation room. Paul watched him leave.
