Maybe or maybe not

Bart looked on in growing horror, he hated dead bodies. Now he'd gotten rid of more than a few in his time. But Bart preferred not to have known the body while it had been living. It was short of like shooting a person in cold blood. Bart had never been meant to do that short of thing.

knew the stakes were high
Right from the start
And when she dealt the cards

Now granted that Roman had been a cop, an Bart hated cops. But still he had at one point been someone Bart had talked to. Someone who he had interacted with an now Roman looked to be deader than disco. Bart risked a look at his boss, an he didn't like what he saw. The boss hadn't counted on Roman being stiff as a board, it had not been a part of his over all master plan.

Now I just found a game
That I can't play

Bart: "..hum...boss, what should we you know....a do with the body"

"Tony" looked dumb founded for a minute, he seemed to be trying to comprehend that Bart was speaking. Bart began to feel fear well up, it wasn't like the boss to be like this. Bart had been wondering for a while now. It wasn't like the Count to be at all like he had been. Now that Bart really thought about it, his behavior had been very off.

Setting on the things I wish I'd done
It's time to say good-bye to yesterday

While the boss was more tolerant than his father was. He seemed to be asking him about what he was doing on a more personal scale. This wasn't like the Count, he had always been very smooth, self a sure an very direct an to the point. The mad man in front of him, may have his bosses face. But there was something very off about him, almost as if it wasn't Tony.

Oh the last good-bye's the hardest one to say
This is where the cowboy rides away

Bart began to feel that the man in front of him was in fact. Someone else, it would make sense...for the things that had been going on the last several months. Rang true of Stefano, not the Count.

Stefano would attack people barely related to a preserved wrong, the Count would not. Bart's thoughts began to take even more wild twists an turns. He needed someone to talk to, someone he could try an figure things out with.

A sad song starts to play
This is where the cowboy rides away
And my heart is sinking like the setting sun

"Tony": "...Well, I'd guess you'd had better dump the body of the late Mr. Brady In the marsh on the out skirts of the village. Take a car, an a heavy weight with some rope. Make sure Mr. Brady isn't found."

.........................................................................................................................................

Bart just nodded, an went about carrying out the bosses orders. About an hour latter Bart was in the car, he had placed Roman in shoot gun. Bart figured it was only fair, since he always liked to have shoot gun if he wasn't driving. Ten minutes latter Bart was near his destination, he looked about enjoying the country side. As he looked to his right, he noticed something that caused him to hit the breaks hard.

Roman Brady was breathing, just barely but he was breathing. Roman Brady was alive just barely but he was still alive. But it didn't look as if he would be for much longer unless Bart did something. Bart felt his mind go into over drive, Roman Brady would be a good person to talk to about what had been plaguing him.

An the boss already thought Roman was dead...Bart thought quickly, he knew of a few people in a near by town who owed him. They owed him big, that an they were actually very trust worthy. Bart knew what he had to do, he just prayed he was doing wouldn't comeback an bite him in the ass. What he was about to do would pretty much burn his bridges with the DiMera organization.

Bart would have to drop off the radar an he'd never get to see the Cubs play live again. Then again even if the boss was the boss an not some fake. Bart was starting to wonder if he won't be getting one right between the eyes. Who ever his current employer was, the man was nuts. Class A loonie toons, an he was getting worse with every passing day. He was starting to make Victor Von Doom look good.

And my heart is sinking like the setting sun

Bart: "Just hang on Mr. B, I'm getting you some help. An maybe you can help me."

Bart started the car back up an quickly speed away, he stayed with in the speed limit. But took liberties with the stop an yield signs. Bart also kept a careful watch to see if anyone was following him. He hadn't lived this long by luck alone, no Bart knew a lot of people didn't think he was very intelligent.

He was much sharper than most people would ever think to give him credit for. Bart felt a smile start to form, with any luck Roman would stay alive. An then perhaps he an Bart could work something out. Then with the grace of fate an a few higher ups, they would both make it out of this mess alive.

And now we play the final showdown scene
As the credits roll
