I do not own CSI, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
She ain't gonna give in...
Hi again! Thanks to all my reviewers, you guys are really supportive and my muses are fed by your good responses. BTW, up until this point, Chelsie has been a minor OC who is a bit of a crybaby when it comes to Ecklie (OMG how sad and pathetic, right?). But I'm developing her into a character similar to Sara, and I'm hoping to form a Sara/Chelsie friendship later on. Anyways, enjoy!

As Ecklie escorted Chelsie from the building, he stepped in a bit closer to her. Lately, he had been observing her behaviour by placing her on cases with himself, and every time they worked a new case the girl just grew more and more fidgety. She had gotten to a point where she was a trembling wreck whenever he got too close to her.
Deciding to find out what was going on, he cleared his throat. "Chelsie, you've worked here for almost two months now, and you've made it clear to me that you're a capable CSI." He paused for a moment, then continued.
"As your supervisor, I feel obligated to help train you to be the best you can be, but I can't do that if you have a problem I don't know about." Chelsie froze, her green eyes widening. Did he know?
Conrad stopped and studied her face. Her expression of fear was slightly unnerving, and he narrowed his eyes. "I want you to tell me what's going on, and I want you to tell me right now." His tone came out harsher than intended, and he winced. The fear changed to hurt, and she looked down.
Ecklie turned away from her, slightly frustrated. His hand came up to his face, and he sighed heavily. "Chels, there's no way we're going to able to continue working like this... and there's no way I can let you go, you're already one of the best CSI's on the day team." A soft sob came from behind him, and he turned to see her crying quietly. Guilt rushed through him and he stepped back to her again. She looked up at him and an unidentified emotion was mixed in with the sadness.
"Ecklie, I... I'm sorry. You're right, I'm useless... You know what? You'll have my resignation note on your desk by tomorrow morning." Chelsie stepped back and wiped her face dry. Ecklie's eyes widened.
"What? Chelsie Walker, there is no way I'm letting you quit!" Ecklie followed her as she began walking towards his Tahoe. She spun suddenly, looking him in the eye. Anger was evident in her eyes, and she set her jaw.
"Conrad Ecklie, I am aware of the fact that you are my supervisor. And I am aware that I am your subordinate. And I'm aware that the feelings I have for you are inappropriate and wrong! Take me home right now!" This last part was yelled in his face. He stepped back again, shocked, recovering fast enough to see her turn on her heel and stride to his vehicle.

A/N: Okay, that's all my puny little brain could come up with for now. Sorry for the short chapters, I'm hoping they'll get longer soon! Enjoy and R&R!!!!
